I think a bitcoin - mud... that's what's needed next.

@franky1, what's your strategy? it's going to take me awhile to get the satoshi monument. I spent a couple hours clicking. I had more Red Tape.. LOL

I used to play a game called, Batmud, based in Finland.

They had their own currency and it was a great community.

I spent almost 300 days on that server  Cry

I can imagine leaving my real life, to play this game full time, and getting a income from it.

We used to mine for ore and sell it to alchemist, who used spells and formula to create resouces to build things.

Can still remember mining for my first mithril shield. {+5 str / +10 regen / +30 invisibility etc... etc.}

Was one of the best games i played, and the funny thing is, it still exist and it was text based.

Wow what a trip...

Looks like a money grab to me.

Goes well with the xbone ethos.

Bundle a useless kinect, supply slow memory and then rip off customers with high prices.

anyways, within 15 minutes i got the satoshi monument. so the game is more about the novelty rather then strategy or learning anything

although in the web version just clicking name of the business just auto-places it somewhere on the map and its not 'moveable' after.  there is a much bigger bug..

bitcoins go above 21mill..!!!

though i do like your efforts in making a game and bringing publicity to the community, i really hope your not user 'tristan6'

No, that's not me, although it does explain things a bit. It looks like a user review and they seem to have written an advertisement for a completely different game Undecided. I'll contact gamespot and see what I can do about it - it's no wonder you were confused!

It's a ... game? I just click and click, I can't even position my hot dog stands, it just appears randomly.

In the web version you click-and-drag to place buildings. The Xbox version has a coin collection mechanism, but in general it's an Idle Game so there's not much interaction. I developed it over a couple of days just for fun, so there's not much depth. Most of my focus is currently on the puzzle adventure game I'm developing Smiley.

Also, there are new 14 nm asics in your game... Put some quantum computing or something weird, but you can put 10th generation miners too.

someone wants to make a game.. yet from all i can read from the review is just a money grab from investors..
Looks like a money grab to me.

I'm not sure what you're talking about here? The game exists, you can play it for free, and I'm not looking for investors.

its in regards to the lack of information on the game the OP linked and the only stuff that can be found through the OP's link is this:

Thus, we chose this model, where we offer a percentage of the game equity to our backers, transforming the crowd-funding into an investment opportunity. Once the game is done, they will share on the profits (in the form of public monthly BTC dividends) and it is always in everyone's best interest to spread the word. The more people you tell about the game, the more likely your investment will yield great returns.

We need all the MMORPGs of the world to use bitcoin, directly, or indirectly. EverQuest, World of Warcraft, Ragnarok, Perfect World, Flyff, ... to name a few (I have not played all of them, but I used to be a high level necromancer in EQ a decade ago, undefeated in duels.)

for $1 its worth a play, just for the sake of novelty of owning a bitcoin game.

but i cant wait until game developers look at the game dragons tails. and then inprove on it.

basically a game that USES bitcoin, imagine world of warcraft or other games where you buy expansion packs and ingame boosters through actual bitcoins.

hopefully some developers make a proper retail qaulity game which actually brings more bitcoin USE to the world

Anyone have any idea about this?!

This is my game!

Thanks for posting it here - if you've got any questions about it I'm happy to answer them Smiley. Bitcoin Tycoon is a simple city-building game that I made in my spare time, after being inspired by the exploding popularity of the currency. There's a version for the Xbox360 available here, and if you don't have a console you can play an earlier prototype online for free. I also have a few spare review keys if anybody would like a free copy of the Xbox version. Just shoot me a PM Smiley.

So do you make actual bitcoin in the game?

No, sorry  Wink.

you can donate to him at his BTC address: 1LuFBjZasTrkCcVqmWi8UNdYv4h3fkwfi

Yep, this is my address. Any donations will help cover the hosting costs, and are greatly appreciated!. If you've got a spare dollar, you can also grab the Xbox 360 version which is better balanced. (Although unfortunately Microsoft doesn't accept Bitcoin yet).

I'm happy to answer any other questions about the game, and I hope you enjoy playing it!
