https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0HmrSfJwhUDon´t let you irritate by the Youtube title, Bill Gates says only a few words.
I am very curious about your opinion about this video, it made me thinking, but then Roger Ver popped up and im not sure what I shall think.
It just gives an introduction about bitcoin to people who don't have any idea about that.Just delivering the truth that the banking systems are the terrorists who loot the money from normal people in the name of huge transaction fees and they just print papers and send it in circulations making people believe that it is the real money. But thanks to bitcoin, especially satoshi for giving such a wonderful technology and i think the bankers are almost knocked out.
It becoming more widespread would definitely put it in the government's and bankers' crosshairs. The bankers can lobby against it. As for the government, their concern is that it not be used to avoid taxes which they live on. I hope bitcoin would get through that danger.
I don´t like the argument he states at the end of the video, it´s true but kinda off topic.
I don't really see his point. If BTC was fully integrated into society, I'm fairly certain that it would be regulated and taxed. It brings a path to a form of currency that
is free from government, but it's not quite there yet. It might help destroy banks' control but it doesn't really stop governments' ability to start wars.
In general the video is okay, albeit lacking in crucial information. All it has is a selection of vague statements about freedom, and not a lot of detail or help to get started.
It's basically a video for people who are already in an echo chamber about BTC being great and just like hearing it a lot.
Can't really stop the government from waging wars as long as they have some wealth yet. If everyone suddenly switch to bitcoins, where there would be no need to exchange for fiat because we stopped using fiat, I think they'd just come up with ways to track our transactions to tax us.
