Don´t let you irritate by the Youtube title, Bill Gates says only a few words.

I am very curious about your opinion about this video, it made me thinking, but then Roger Ver popped up and im not sure what I shall think.
I read some comments above and i agree with them an introduction to those who doesn't know bitcoin and it has a big sense because he is a well known billionaire .Talking about Roger Ver who always make a news a more on a FUD news for him to make more money and it seems many bitcpiners now is not believing on him.
Actually the videos like taht were very helpful to those who haven't started yet in bitcoins .

I don´t like the argument he states at the end of the video, it´s true but kinda off topic.

I don't really see his point.  If BTC was fully integrated into society, I'm fairly certain that it would be regulated and taxed.  It brings a path to a form of currency that is free from government, but it's not quite there yet.  It might help destroy banks' control but it doesn't really stop governments' ability to start wars.

In general the video is okay, albeit lacking in crucial information.  All it has is a selection of vague statements about freedom, and not a lot of detail or help to get started.

It's basically a video for people who are already in an echo chamber about BTC being great and just like hearing it a lot.

Can't really stop the government from waging wars as long as they have some wealth yet. If everyone suddenly switch to bitcoins, where there would be no need to exchange for fiat because we stopped using fiat, I think they'd just come up with ways to track our transactions to tax us.

I have no problem with taxation, it is nessacary to maintain infrastructure.

BUT, I don´t need banks and I want a decentralized currency which is not built on dept.

I think what people are complaining about taxes is that it is being used for things they don't agree with, for example, the US intervene militarily in a lot of countries and some people are not cool with that.

The only thing I'm fine with banks is that up to a certain amount the money is insured and we still use them for stuff like loans, etc. But other than that, I prefer having total control on how to store my money.

Not sure why people are even talking about bitcoin not being taxed here. Everyone should really take it off their minds that bitcoins are not taxable. It is, and we can't do anything about it. If you profit from using bitcoins then that means you owe the government for income tax. Plain and simple. Tax is not limited to only fiat currency.

When everyone has seen this video and realized financial control through the conventional bank system is a bad idea , and has created a monopoly certain groups. All will also be thinking and the bitcoin that attends as decentralised nature is a great thing. Mostly believe it can change the way financial control many people in the future
This is just an introduction to the digital currency world. Here in specific nothing is visualised, this thread is just an promotion to make a good number of views for the specific content of the video. There is nothing to discuss about bitcoin, because the growth as well the strength it holds is very big, though there are altcoins with functions incorporated.

It just gives an introduction about bitcoin to people who don't have any idea about that.Just delivering the truth that the banking systems are the terrorists who loot the money from normal people in the name of huge transaction fees and they just print papers and send it in circulations making people believe that it is the real money. But thanks to bitcoin, especially satoshi for giving such a wonderful technology and i think the bankers are almost knocked out.
It is just the first stepps (and a lot of people are still grtting it).  Most of them still see an authority in banks and banking system in general. What means that bitcoin is a threat to them and a strong bitcoin will only increase the bank fees if they won't somehow change the system. It is not enought just to show the truth. People should accept it. Ubtill that time the new bareers and regulations will only be created.

I don`t care about what Bill Gates says.It would be great, if he buys a few thousand bitcoins. Grin
Implementing the blockchain technology in every day life is more important and it will bring  huge democratisation and more freedom from the banks and Wall Street.
Isn`t Roger Ver just a speculant, who wants only to make money and doesn`t really care about cryptos and the blockchain technology?
Lol! I wish the same and I believe Bill Gates must own bitcoins. It is not possible that he is giving statements about this currency, appreciating it and not giving it a try. Billionaires do invest in bitcoins in the name of big whales. I hope bitcoins attract more people ultimately riding to the moon.

It becoming more widespread would definitely put it in the government's and bankers' crosshairs. The bankers can lobby against it. As for the government, their concern is that it not be used to avoid taxes which they live on. I hope bitcoin would get through that danger.

I fully agree with you two, I just heared that Roger Ver is a controversial person, furthermore I don´t like the argument he states at the end of the video, it´s true but kinda off topic.

I think I will keep this video, just in case I have to teach someone about bitcoin, overall it´s a nice ovierwiew.

Yes, as said above, it is just a simple introduction to One of the great points that the video makes is how much money is just being printed, causing a gradual increase in the devaluation of its price. The video also makes many true points that are not really known to the average person. The world indeed is a dirty place that is controlled by very few people. This is why bitcoin and its decentralised nature is a great thing.
