Hello, I have some difficult on find the BTC price.
For example in this moment GDAX 15.700$, CEX.IO shows 16.400$ , platform MT5 shows 14.700.

Which is the real value?
Price differences between exchangers are common, but usually Bitcoin prices follow the highest price in an exchange.
as in CEX.io the price is $ 16,700, maybe in a few hours other exchange will follow Bitcoin price in Cex.io

The prices depent on the orderbooks on these exchanges, all of them are legit. They differ because the orders that are being placed can vary on the different exchanges. However if you want to have an average price that is taken from all exchanges together you can have a look at cryptocompare.com or at coinmarketcap.com.
Right. What platforms like coinmarketcap now end up doing is to combine them all together and give the average price.

It is crazy though, looking at the fact that so many people can just make use of another exchange with a lower value, but it is understandable since there is a payment barrier in most cases on some of the local exchanges that are meant for a particular region which makes arbitrage impossible.

Every of the value is real and those values you are seeing are what traders are exchanging them at that moment. That is how some people end up doing arbitrage anyway but looking at the number of time in between transactions, it is not always that easy. You can just make use of preev or coinmarketcap to get the average value anyway.

All of them is real it is depend where exchnage you use to trade in USD value. if you just want monitor the price then pick one you think is the right price for BTC value .

I agree, different exchangers have their own rates, so, you might want to check it all out before you sell your bitcoin, because you might regret it in the end if you are just going to sell your bitcoin without knowing that there are exchangers that pays good rates on bitcoin.
Does that really matter ? Most of the exchanges you may see where the values are huge, trying to get your funds out of them at the end of the day is really not that easy as they are kind of bound to local exchanges of some sort. I tried doing that on Golix, Zimbabwean exchange few weeks back and then I was told there is no way I can send the USD out to an international account except I have a Zimbabwean account and I am ready to spend in Zimbabwe.

Right, every exchanger has different value of bitcoin, because they're calculating it based on trade volume in their market
So with that people can do arbitrage and gain profit, but it depend on the transaction speed

The value of Bitcoin is increasing now a days so now is the time for making profits those who already possess bitcoins. The price may vary according to the exchanges, since more people are getting interested in getting bitcoins there will arise a competition in this cryptoworld and the price will be increasing more rapidly.

The reason for these different value is because these exchange platforms are not in anyway connected to each other, they operate independently of each other.  The only way to know the average price of bitcoin is to visit preev.com or blockchain.info.

It depends on the exchanges itself. That's why its possible to do arbitrage from one exchange to another. They have their own system of computing their own value, I don't know what's the exact formula but I assumed the volumes on that exchanges will influence their price.

LOL. You haven't seen the price in India and Zimbabwe. The price is way above the Western and even Asia trading platform which is also high.
There is not even a way they compute the value. It is just the rate at which it is being bought and the fact that new investors are ready to accept the price for it. For example, on bithumb so far, the price shot past $19000, which is above other exchanges. Arbitrage though is not that easy looking at how slow the transaction may get and the commissions in each exchange.

I do not know about India, but the value of bitcoin in Zimbabwe right now is above $22000 and man, that is crazy. I tried seeing a way I could do arbitrage but it is not just possible as there is no way one can get funds out of the exchange. Wish they had USDT listed on their exchange.

Bitcoin price can be different in different trading platform because of several reasons, if you just want to have a quick look at average price of bitcoin over all trading platform than you can rely on preev.com they will show you average price and you can enter bitcoin amount to see its exact value in terms of fiat.

That is nothing Korean markets were trading at 19k earlier today and similar things for markets in Zimbabwe. It is crazy to think such exchanges in the Western part of the world could have such discrepancies though. There is a good arb opportunity for those who have the massive capital I know I couldn't even pull it off if I tried.

Welcome to the world of volatile cryptocurrencies! I am concerned that, all the people transfering from Bitfinex to Gdax trying to earn money with the price difference. You can start scaling out profits into USD(T) if you’re feeling nervous about the price being too high. Every exchange has unique value, don't be confused.

They are all real values of the bitcoin it is just the case that the prices are different depending upon the volume of the coin that is being traded over the specific exchanger. As everything here is decentralised it will be on the host who provides you bitcoin service on how much prices to be decided for that particular day or hour of the day. The more the traded value they have the more prices they will have really. So its clear statement that everything is upto us what price should be put on bitcoin. I mean the exchanger will decide obviously.

This is just an example how stuff work in the decentralised environment. Just compare it with the fiat and you will learn more about this. The dollar bill is always worth dollar throughout the country or throughout the foreign country in their own currency because government decides that.

With CEX.io, you are trading bitcoin against fiat USD, not even USDT (tether). You can only withdraw to your card and your bank account, hence the difference. You lose out on your fees and will get your 15700-aroundish amounts.

GDAX appears to show the market price though. Never tried MT5 though.

All of them are real and a great arbitrage opportunity for people who trade at all of those exchanges, although, fiat is slow and arbitrage is hard in these case.

Whenever I am not trading, I look at the price at coinmarketcap. So I won't get confuse.

If I want to trade my bitcoin, I look at bitcoinwisdom and see which of the exchanges have the highest value at the time, send my bitcoin there and do the trades there. But if you only have a few exchanges you are using, just watch the price in that exchange. Prices at exchanges varies because of the volume they have.

Well it is normal that all of these cryptocurrency exchanges have different buy and sell rates, and there is no right and wrong there because Bitcoin didn't really have an official value. This is business and this is how exchanges make their profit. It is also depends on the demand and supply on that exchange, if the demand is higher and the supply they hold is not enough, what will happen is that the price of Bitcoin on that exchange will be more expensive compared to other exchange. The best example here is Bitcoin exchanges on Zimbabwe and India.

all of these prices are real! because real people are paying real money on each of these platforms to receive real bitcoins in return and they can withdraw it and others are selling real bitcoins for that price and getting real cash and withdrawing it.

the reason why these differences happen is mainly because of the small nature of each of these markets combined with a surge of demand. people are less willing to sell their bitcoin these days which means price keeps rising more than it can drop. and with the increased demand the price sometimes rises more on some platforms than the others. and with a delay they small ones will follow.
