Bitcoin value is more in crypto currency. This is the most common currency. So Bitcoin's evaluation is more than that.

the value of bitcoin will not last because of the rising and falling prices every second, every minute, the value of the commodity depends on the demand of the market itself.
if market demand increases auto bitcoin prices will experience a very fantastic increase.

I've just watched the John Oliver show about cryptocurrencies and something struck me about what he said:

" like most currencies, the fundamental reason that bitcoin has value is that people agree that it has value"

I just want to know your thoughts on this. I only have a little understanding about the idea of currency and its value although i've already been at it all my life. Im new into this kind currency and right now its plumetting.

Bitcoin has value because people think it has value. The fall in prices is normal, and the value of bitcoin is currently down lower than last year, but bitcoin can still rise again because bitcoin is still believed to be the main currency in the crypto.

The thing is bitcoin value will increase with time, because of limited supply and harder and harder mining conditions, more and more electricity will be used.

yes this is the difference between bitcoin and fiat. the fiat value will not change, while bitcoin tends to change. many factors can affect the value of bitcoin, including bad news about bitcoin that makes a lot of users and bitcoin holders sell it so bitcoin value drops.

I agree, the value of Bitcoin is only for the people agree that Bitcoin has a value. actually I think that indicates the popularity of Bitcoin .as much people love Bitcoin ,the value of Bitcoin increases. the popularity increases and again decreases, so the value of Bitcoin keeps up and down .so the value of Bitcoin is not stable.

The main reason for which people trust that bitcoin has value is that it being a decentralised currency could not be devalued by any governments. Its free from deflation. Also its safe and secure and could not be hacked unless we reveal our private keys.

Everything will be worth when its value is needed.in the summer the price of watermelon will be expensive because the demand is so large that it is rare in the market, whereas if the rainy season watermelon will become worthless because not many people are looking for it so the supply is abundant, Bitcoin and altcoinwill be worth when Bitcoin or altcoin is rare in the market.we do not need to worry because the price of Bitcoin is currently low, because the season will change.

Yes, I believe the people in the cryptocurrency community were actually the ones put value on bitcoin. However, due to it's volatility, bitcoin is susceptible to fluctuations either be going up trend or down trend.bitcoin is valued at what people believe it is worth. with new news coming out, there personal valuation changes as will.

Ultimately, everything has value because people agree so. The same is true for fiat. In reality fiat is only a piece of paper and we all agree it has value. The only difference between fiat and btc is who backs what. What scares people the most is that btc has no issuing authority. They feel unprotected using it. But so far btc has proven itself to be formidable.

True, it wouldn't attain this much value if its market is not backed up securely and its investors and buyers will not flock this much if it is not credible. Bitcoin wouldn't even be considered a currency today and be compared to the current fiat if it doesn't have the characteristics to contend what currencies we are used to.

At present, the value of Bitcoin is too much for me because I can easily deal with Bitcoin and earn money, and by doing bitcoin, everyone gets much benefit by trading. Bitcoin is an easy way to deal, Bitcoin can be used very easily, because of which people are very easy transaction, Because of which I think Bitcoin is much more in the present world

Remember that bitcoin has a volatility it can increase all of sudden , or it can decrease. And actually one of the factors that i like bitcoin why i stay and invest because a volatility price it can open and opporunity . Looking forward and hoping that it would reach my target price.

What would be the target price?
When I am asked with that I get stunned for a millisecond.  Grin
It seems so hard to answer when all you think about is HODL. I want more. Even when it came to the ATH and I was online that day, I dont seem to care and I am always thinking there is more into it.
Perhaps, every hodler have the same problem. If you are not in a financial crisis then it doesnt matter.

Yes, right, you know the basic concept of economy? It applies here as well, even I think it’s applicable anywhere as long as we use the medium of exchange. The rising or falling of bitcoin’s price occurs because the demand is influenced by the news and FUD. Just like any other exchange tools that has a rise or fall in price, but in Bitcoin’s case the rise or the fall of price can happen very quickly and drastically.

Yes one reason why bitcoin has value is cause people agree that it has value but whats another big reason is that it depends on the demand and supply. If something is needed by someone than it has value and how many people need it and how scarce it is, is what decides its value.

The value of bitcoin has steadied above $8,000 after last week's dramatic price surge, which saw the world's most valuable cryptocurrency gain more than $1,000 in the space of an hour.

The volatile cryptocurrency’s price has shifted wildly ever since mid-December - when it hit a record high of more than $19,850 (£14,214) - with frequent heavy drops and speedy recoveries. Its price plummet back to earth in January and February, as governments and central banks around the world raised the spectre of future regulation.

I think every things that has value must be considered to have value, an easy example is gold and diamond, if people don’t think those 2 things aren’t worthy they will have no value. Even things that we think are worthless if marketed properly it can have value as well. By the way about Bitcoin, now probably is the right time to invest and then you just have to be patient.

Volatility or not, Bitcoin is very much potential to possess much greater value. Yeah, people’s belief is what kept it alive even in extended bad days. Hopefully the market will pay back peoples belief in a positive way.

Yes, I believe that there is nothing wrong in it. I would definitely trust a group of strangers with equal power & control over any centralized authority. When we trust bank, they can literally do anything with our money, whereas when it comes Bitcoin we hold the actual Bitcoins (not on exchanges but in hardware/paper/desktop wallets etc) and we know that no one can control our funds on our behalf. We will get the real-time value of it whenever we want to spend it. That's the trust and that's how it should be.
