for all of this. Nobody can get hurt or manipulated to do anything...  Wink

Exactly, the lack of a single entity to put pressure on is a huge advantage. There are many thousands of leaders in Bitcoin.

...each one leading in a thousand different directions, hence bitcoin doesn't get anywhere.

Seems to be doing alright.

I would have liked Craig Wright to be Satoshi, he would make a nice ambassador.

Cheesy At first I thought you were serious, but then I realized you're making a joke.. If not, I think you should do more reading and less broadcasting until the knowledge level increases a little.

Just what we need.... A centralized figure head like Vitalik Buterin {much the same as Gavin in the early days} ...who called the shots and other people followed like sheep. The problem with a

centralized figure head is this. They can be bribed / targeted / Discredited / influenced by their government / taken hostage .... You want me to continue? The day Satoshi left, was the best solution

for all of this. Nobody can get hurt or manipulated to do anything...  Wink

ETH will never surpass BTC because ETH can never be a proper currency, since it's turin complete and this leads to endless unsolvable problems. Honestly only delusional bagholders that are waiting for an altcoin takeover are dreaming with any coin taking BTC's #1 spot as a realistic scenario. Time to wake up.

Your country may be your worst enemy
A decentralized crypto-currenBTCcy is not supposed to have any kind of leader whatsoever.

Congratulations Lauda, you've been the only one to answer my point. When I mean leader, I don't mean someone to give rules, nor to tell us what to do, but someone to fix problems. We may imagine that some hacker tomorrow, finds a vulnerability and writes a virus to attack all miners. Just like a city needs a fire department service, BTC needs someone able to fix any problem which may arise, and I say that's why so many people like about Ether: there's a guy in charge.

Why every time it has to be 'Bitcoin VS The WORLD'?
I see BTC and ETH very different things. It is irrelevant wich one has has higher price/volume
I`m not a big fan of altcoins but I must say that I really like ETH (and Vitalik Buterin is a real genius)

Terminated.
We've seen that the BTC Core team is unable to fix problems (or way to slow).
What problems? I see none.

Will the foundation make a comeback? Satoshi Nakamoto?
Foundation is a big no, and satoshi doesn't need to come back (even if she could).

I would have liked Craig Wright to be Satoshi, he would make a nice ambassador.
That would be horrible.

On the Ether side, I see Vitalik Buterin who is smart, young, very knowledgeable, so much that I trust his abilities to find and implement solutions if a problem arise. I have no doubt the scalability issue BTC's facing would have been fixed months ago if he was running BTC.
Nothing more than an appeal to authority at its finest. You should not 'trust' anyone in a decentralized, open-source project. These currencies are not supposed to be based on trust.

So I'm afraid Ether will pass BTC some day, not because of better tech, but because of better and stronger leadership.
A decentralized crypto-currency is not supposed to have any kind of leader whatsoever.

This. Smart Bitcoiners have already realized that Ethereum offers many things that aren't possible in Bitcoin or that will be available far too long in the future (scalability, smartcontracts, sidechains).
You mean like the smartcontracts that everyone will be obsessed about at the time of financial collapse? ETH has not solved scalability either (technically you can't solve this), and sidechains are already available in Bitcoin.

As far as i know, Bitcoin and Ethereum have different goals, so i don't really care about it.
Maybe ETH should fight with Ripple users or Dogecoin community first Roll Eyes

Just let them them coexist. They are built on two different principles using the same technology. They aren't they same. Quit these threads.
This. Smart Bitcoiners have already realized that Ethereum offers many things that aren't possible in Bitcoin or that will be available far too long in the future (scalability, smartcontracts, sidechains). Take Rootstock for example, many months have passed and the first production sidechain was actually released in the Ethereum network.

Well if thats the case i will stay at bitcoin even they are hi-tech to fix the problem in the future.. and i think they cant also handle the same issue of bitcoin when they are in place as bitcoin.. no matter what happen bitcoin is already use as payment in many store.. and i believe bitcoin issue will be resolve again just like before..
Also i just notice why many people are complaining about ethereum.. ethereum still altcoin.. don't discuss here because this is for bitcoin discussion..

Technology? Supply? Contracts? Let's be frank. I don't give a damn. The microwave oven remains the perfect example of my point. I know how to use but I have no need to understand how it works. Nor do I care.

What matters is people.

Are you serious?? ETH it's only alt coins and just their value is rely with bitcoin.ETH can't beat bitcoin.... so I can say no for that. this question just same with bitcoin versus USD. You can't to compare it because ETH it's a part of bitcoin. ETH not have value if no bitcoin.

Apologies I think I do not agree on this... If bitcoin needs "leadership", it would not be considered as decentralized and trustless...

The point of this thread?

No offense but this smells like a thread that would be best served in the alt coin section as it appears as fud for ETH.
You did not state anything new or really support the claim that ETH was going to by pass bitcoin.
