The both of them are great. No one is saying that ETH is not a good cryptocurrency, we all know that ethereum is good, but for the fact that Bitcoin is the first that was created, that gives it the first comer advantage, and we would hardly see any other cryptocurrency that would be able to replace Bitcoin in the market. It’s just as the same way that we would hardly see any altcoin that would be able to replace Ethereum from its top position in the alternative cryptocurrency market.

Yes, Ethereum has lots of great features, such as the smart contract which is the major thing about it, but I still believe that there are ways that Bitcoin is good and makes a better choice than ETH. But there isn’t any need for us to be comparing them, just go for whatever you think is best for you, and it wouldn’t be bad if you go for the both of them.

I think it is more a matter of personal preference. Personally, I do prefer Bitcoin over Ethereum, because Bitcoin is by far the more popular of the two, even of Ethereum is the second most popular crypto. If any cryptocurrency has a chance to be legalized and to become a legal tender, that would be Bitcoin, in my opinion.
It shouldn't be that personal. Bitcoin is totally different vs ethereum. Both are blockchains inspired from the same concept but they have different algorithm and different goals. Without to mention how ethereum is partially centralized while bitcoin is fully decentralized .

In my opinion, why bitcoin is superior to ethereum, because cryptocurrency is known as bitcoin, so bitcoin was first known and more popular than ethereum, but actually ethereum has advantages over currency.

I was wondering, why (or why not) do you think that Bitcoin is better than Ethereum?

Ethereum seems to provide everything that Bitcoin offers but it has a huge advantage: smart contracts.
Smart contracts are small "programs" that live on the blockchain, so you can use them to build actual services and applications, while Bitcoin is useful only as a digital currency.

So why do you prefer Bitcoin if Ethereum seems superior?
Or maybe I'm missing something that makes Bitcoin actually better than Ethereum in some way?

value, that's the benchmark why I prefer bitcoin over ETH,
where bitcoin deserves to be a long-term investment, with an increasing value even though sometimes the correction stage makes the heart cry seeing the red candle burning like a raging bull

Bitcoin is simply better than Ethereum due to customizable low transaction fee and it's general acceptance by virtually all merchants. Even PayPal had to use this crypto because of this reason.

Bitcoin is the most widely used cryptocurrency compared to ethereum, and the two were not created to fight because ethereum will not be able to beat bitcoin.
bitcoin and ethereum are two of the most used cryptocurrencies by far and both are without a doubt the most valuable cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap and ethereum market cap is only half that of bitcoin, and both will stay in first and second place forever.
We all keep saying that Ethereum won’t be able to beat Bitcoin, but we all know that the future is uncertain. None of us can be able to tell what exactly would happen, but as we are seeing it right now Bitcoin seems formidable in its position, and it seems unlikely that any other cryptocurrency would be able to reach the level of taking the number one position from Bitcoin. Of course, it’s possible that Bitcoin can stay in that number one position forever, and as for Ethereum, we have seen once when Ethereum coin was beating to the second position, buy Ripple (XRP).

You don’t seem to understand that they aren’t competitors. Bitcoin is a coin who’s value is underlying through being an asset, store of value and payment system. Ethereum is a smart contract coin who’s purpose is building applications on. Lastly XRP is an utter shitcoin that is centralized.

Or maybe I'm missing something that makes Bitcoin actually better than Ethereum in some way?

The thing about Ethereum is that it doesn't actually provide anything that Bitcoin offers, let alone everything. Bitcoin is entirely unique in the crypto world. Bitcoin was built to be a decentralized, censorship resistant, globally secure form of sound digital money. Which of those things does Ethereum do? None of them.

It is really more accurate to split cryptocurrencies up into two separate categories: there's Bitcoin and then there is crypto which is everything else. Bitcoin is unique.

Ether is a token for an app network. It has great value, but it is entirely different than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is global sound money. Just as Bitcoin doesn't have a Turing complete language for making smart contracts so it can't do all the stuff Ethereum does, Ethereum doesn't have ANY of the qualities that make Bitcoin good at what it does. They are just entirely different things. Most people, even those in crypto, don't understand this.

The common and misinformed understanding of crypto is they all do the same thing (they're all "cryptoCURRENCIES") so the one that has the most functionality must be the best. But that's missing the fact that no other crypto comes close to meeting the very high standards of money that Bitcoin achieves. The fact that other cryptos can be transferred around just like Bitcoin misses the point entirely. It's like saying rocks are better money than gold coins because you can still pass them around as money but they also have all these other advantages like the ability to crush things and sharpen things and shaped into spearheads. Two entirely different things that aren't good at what the other one does, even though you can technically trade rocks like money.

Ethereum is good at being a less-centralized-than-web2.0 app network that runs open finance applications.
Bitcoin is good at being the best money humanity has ever had.
Neither one is good at doing what the other one does.
But Bitcoin has zero competition in the crypto world, really its main competition now is the US Dollar and Gold. Whereas Ethereum has many rising competitors in the crypto space. And I'd say the value space for THE global currency and global store of value is larger than the value space for one of many (even if Eth remains the dominant one) open finance app networks.

Based up on trackers on how many coins in the market today.

There are over 17,000 types of cryptocurrencies as of February 2022, according to price-tracking website CoinMarketCap

Excluding on other coins which havent known yet or been listed.
Considering these alts do share up on the same goal which is to be better than Bitcoin.
So dont exclude out those kind of hopes and targets into those project owners.

In general, bitcoin has become very popular and bitcoin is also the main benchmark for cryptocurrencies because all altcoins use bitcoin pairs. Bitcoin and ethereum are both popular crypto digital currencies. etehreum as an optional digital currency that can be selected or not. But both are equally useful. but the problem with Ethereum right now is that the fees are too expensive and many are complaining about it and are also waiting for ETH 2.0 to deal with the expensive fees.

Apart from what I said above, even if I prefer Bitcoin, I also think that if one has the opportunity and knowledge to trade both, why not? Profit is profit and as long as the currency being traded is decent, I am willing to try.

Both are not similar but Bitcoin and Ethereum are moving good relationship between each other.Lookin for the chart When bitcoin price fall down then Ethereum price dumps also.Bitcoin is most popular and most valuable coin and Ethereum is a king of Altcoin. Last 2 years bitcoin and Ethereum they are growing more and they huge development their purpose.
Moving good relationship? are Bitcoin and Ethereum are married couple?

Not because Bitcoin is leading the market and ethereum is following the movement meaning they are in relation , instead they have both different supporters and that is far from your claim.

many ethereum users wanted to take the thrown of Bitcoin things that impossible to happen , so Either your choice is bitcoin or ethereum ? there is only one reality here and that is they are both having bright future together with Binance coin .

Although bitcoin and ethereum seem similar to me, I believe that the older an asset is, the better it is to trust.
I don't see them being similar but if it's about being an investment, that could be it. About the latter, the older the asset is and they're more trustworthy. I agree in a sense that these are for those established cryptocurrencies, these two no doubt that they're established and old. But, there are also those old assets but they're no longer viable because they're too outdated ad there is no longer support from the community which has resulted them to be dry and forgotten by everyone and even its own market.
They both use the PoW protocol, so they have some similar features. But many people have said that there is some kind of centralization in ethereum. One other thing I like Ethereum for is that the system is innovative and gives room to changes that usher in new technology. But bitcoin is not dynamic, will be what is use to be, anyone that tries a hard fork will fault or tire the system.
Yeah, I've read of that before that many have said that ETH is semi-centralized. While ETH is still on PoW, miners have been taking the chance and opportunity to keep mining it. Because when the PoW has been changed into PoS, they have to look for another coin that will be beneficial to their rig and do the same as what they've done to ethereum for mining. Talking about the forks, I think there's lesser interest in it for now. Since the first forks that have come, I've seen almost none of them become successful.

Bitcoin will always be my choice no matter what, because i have a bad experience in Ethereum last year in early quarter in which the Gas fee climbs so high that almost same value of how much i wanted to withdraw  lol.

This is why i told myself not to fall from Ethereum withdrawal again.

Simple,effective
What is simple and effective? is this something to do with Bitcoin or Ethereum? which of them are the simple and which is the effective?

But yeah both of these coins are effective yet Simple.

One advantage of Ethereum is that a holder can earn staking rewards just from delegating the ether. You can also earn rewards with bitcoin on lending programs, though.
You can also earn staking using bitcoin mate  but of course most of the exchange and platforms are accepting altcoins like ethereum .

The difference between bitcoin and ethereum is very clear for users to know the one that is more better in the community. Bitcoin has low gas fee that is attracting investors all over the world compare to ethereum that has high gas fee that is discouraging some investors to change to bitcoin investment base on the low fee in transaction. Bitcoin is still the king among cryptocurrencies which it will remain the king of cryptocurrencies because it has all the strategies and strong team that can maintain the position.

Based on what we saw during pandemic, show that bitcoin investment is more profitable than ethereum investment because when many coins were dumping during the pandemic that took over 1 year and some months that made bitcoin pump as never before in the exchange market.
