When, where, who, and how will the first war over Bitcoins emerge?

Not war at all, just people demanding more privacy and rights

When will the first war over Bitcoin commence, and in what form will it take?

Throughout history we have had college textbooks littered with the most grandiose tales of bloody honor and courage in killing ones own fellow man over a finite resource, so why not Bitcoin? When, where, who, and how will the first war over Bitcoins emerge?

You talk about war as it is something great? Really?  Cry
Being on the victors side that is how it is taught.

killing a human to invade his land and dig for precious resources is known as war, yes.

but you cant dig up bitcoin!
bitcoin has no land.. no one needs to be killed to invade and own their land,

their will not be a war, instead their will be 'regulation' and 'taxation' which is the other method to take property off of people
As other posters have correctly elluded to I do not believe that, when it comes, the bitcoin war will be a conventional war. Why would it? Hence my asking who, how, and what form it will come from.

The war will be to control hashing power.
An arms race has already begun. Secret agencies are stockpiling mining equipment.  Wink

They would have to use fiat to fund it. Any war using bitcoins would be over quickly.

the most grandiose tales of bloody honor and courage in killing ones own fellow man over a finite resource at the behest of the state, paid for by state coercion

Fixed that for you, providing a hint as to how Bitcoin will help diminish wars.

Mark Karpeles is still alive.
I doubt there will ever be a war. Not of the kind you're thinking.

It will be more intellectual, DDoS, stuff like that.

When will the first war over Bitcoin commence, and in what form will it take?

The war on Bitcoin has already begun.  It's a war between ideas.  Because ideas are bulletproof, propaganda and lies are going to be the enemies' weapons of choice.

Exactly my point.  They are very good at using their propaganda to create public support for wars/military action that is not justified or logical.  People dont even realize what they absorb watching tv/movies/music/advertising

The new form of war is subversive mind control, executed through entertainment and the mass media.  It works on most, and it seems it has made a lot of people stay away from bitcoins

When BTC gets into more 'evil' hands, you'll see the wars start happening.  But that's not to say "good" hands would handle it any better or more legit.

Well, maybe countries would fight over data centers and ASIC (or whatever the new ones comes). There might be war on land for miners and one cyber warfare for already mined bitcoins.
This will be funded by bitcoin for the govt. that wins it would be the King of the world.

No. If you can't plunder a land to rip its resources, then why start a war. Technically you can still rob another guy by forcing the person to give up the password though. How ironic that the subject of debate on another thread is also talking about bitcoin being the root cause of evil  Grin

instead their will be 'regulation' and 'taxation' which is the other method to take property off of people

Or hacking, which is essentially economic warfare in the context of Bitcoin.
