I stumbled on this watch:

https://www.chrono24.com/azimuth/azimuth-azimuth-garfield-bitcoin-pizza-watch--id33201425.htm#gref

Kind of pricey for Garfield item, but evidently a great watch company.  Only 100 of them made, I found the back story here:

https://www.azimuthwatch.com/product/BITCOIN-PIZZA

It is cool that the time runs counter clockwise, hence the BIT - Back in Time concept.

Anyway, thought I would share!

That looks really stylish actually and on the case back it is stamped Limited Edition
of 100 copies.

The description is a bit vague and possibly conflicting, the movement is stated as Seiko
but which type? is the movement it uses reliable?

The case material is listed as "Alloy" and the band as "Stainless Steel" ... which is also
an alloy, the image of the back shows the case back stamped with Stainless Steel so
is the case actually Stainless? also what black coating is used? I would want it to be PVD coated.

In the description under "Place of Origin" they state "Made in Swiss" which is misleading,
the movement is Japanese so that at least means they cannot market as Swiss Made,
and in fairness the watch itself doesnt say Swiss Made on the dial.

Most people wouldnt care about those things I pointed out above and the watch is probably
targeted for occasional wear or purely as a collectors item.

Sad I missed out on Blockwatch V1 and was hoping to get in on this.
For what it's worth, you can create your own version [with a personal touch] of Blockwatch V1 while also saving some money in the process... From what I can see, they were using the "Watchy E-Paper Smartwatch kit [by SQFMI]". It's open-source by design [HW and SW], so if you know how to code or you're willing to learn, then it could be the next best thing:

Very cool. Thanks for the links SFR10!! Now to find the time to be able to put all this together…

Update - cc company refunded charge - even refunded interest that was charged for this purchase

That was quick!! Hmmmm t-shirt or money back… decisions, decisions…

Thanks for sharing. That’s a pretty cool project. I’ll have to research it a little more when I have more time to kill. I’m not a watch guy (thankfully or else I would probably be broke) but I am an open source project guy and this seems like a cool one. I wonder what sort of things this watch could be coded to tell you. Anything probably… Great find.

I liked their first version but was not able to obtain one - I did put a deposit down for one of the V2 "blockwatch 256"

https://node.fun/
Omg, these look like a lot of fun! Website gives off scammy vibes, though, but I guess I am just oversensitive? - So Blockwatch V1 was a thing, does anyone have it and can tell us more?

Is there any more info on te V2 thing somewhere? I am seriously intruiged.
Mining with a solarwatch, probably in the Megahash-range, hahaha, but such a funny gadget if it works.

Thank u for the feedback! I can assure you its not a scam. We WILL deliver. We learned a lot from the OG Blockwatch V1, now we're pushing that experience into something amazing with the new Node product

well so much for saying it is not a scam eh? took everyone's cash and now state - we are no longer doing this - oh thanks for your cash - here, have a tshirt.

I used my wifes cc so just initiated a charge back - used the message above and their recent email to show they promised a product, took everyone's money and then said sorry we are not doing it.

especially that cheeky ass comment "The components and consumer market are not ready for our reality bending device" making it sound like they could do it but meh fuck it, the world isnt ready for this awesomeness.

Thanks Mark for the kind words and for supporting the project! I am the other co-founder of Node and Blockwatch that you didn't speak to but I was told about this thread.

We did indeed build the OG Blockwatch, but they are sold out. This thread seems to really like luxury so wanted to show this 18K gold case OG Blockwatch https://scarce.city/auctions/blockwatch-gold

Our new product that's shown at https://node.fun/ is THE Bitcoin Watch that will be equipped with ASIC chip(s) to generate sats but more importantly have payment functions with Lightning. All powered by a solar watchband.

It's not an apple watch, it's not a Rolex, it's not a Fitbit. We're calling it Post-tech-- for those who value purpose and function in a new, exciting technology.

Hey welcome to the forum! Think we might have met at the last btc conference in miami. I should have grabbed a watch at your booth then. Cant wait to see the V2 functionality. Keep up the great work!

How many of the V1s are there exactly? and what was the price point when originally sold?

Thanks. SatsLife

Thanks! We absolutely love the conferences to get the chance to talk with folks like yourself. Hoping to see you again at the next one.

There are 139 OG BLOCKWATCH units in circulation that were laser engraved with blockheight of manufacture and unit # for what we called the "Genesis Series". Each one was assembled by us, by hand in a garage.

We actually auctioned off a lot of them on scarce.city for sats, with the price usually higher on earlier unit number watches

Averaged around $1k for each watch at the time of sale (a lot were sold in BTC).
