I've always thought that this time of the year people prefer to sell, make their profits, use during the holidays and plan for the next year
But maybe I'm wrong, and I wish I am

I'll not sell a coin during this time, I'll take some rest, and make my plans to the next year, 2020 looks shine to BTC

I don’t think it’s going to happen this year. I think there are more factors that affect when people buy Bitcoins other than time of year. I believe that news regarding Bitcoin will affect the price as well as some government regulation.
The month of december this year seems so plain, there are lots of news, a postive news towards the crypto space but the thing is, it will be felt not later this year but on the year 2020 (crossed fingers) hopefully. The price of bitcoin this month as for my prediction it will be lower than it is now, I guess people that holds bitcoin right now might sell just before the christmas week, holdai season.

I also believe that the halving will have a significant affect.
No doubt on the halving event, that will obviously affect the market but we don't yet if it will be a negative or positive this time since it is still uncertain. Hopefully it will be still positive towards the price.

People buy a lot of bitcoins during those holiday times.
I think people are actually selling more than buying at this time of year, at least those who celebrate Christmas and New Year. Most will actually spend some BTC (by selling for fiat/or directly) to buy gifts, food and drink, decorations and all that is being bought this time of year.

It should be going that way but what had happened is the opposite, the price of bitcoin has a higher chance to increase rather than decrease, it has been proven in 2017 and last year in 2018 bitcoin price rise from $3200 on December 17th to $4000 by Christmas, don't know why. Hopefully by the end of this this year bitcoin will rise again to $10K.
December 22nd 2016 = $820 > December 27th 2016 = $910
December 22nd 2017 = $15,500 > December 27th 2017 = $16,839

People actually buy BTC long before so they can sell it and make a profit in this period, and this was a good strategy this year as well, at least for those who bought in the first few months of this year, they doubled their money.

People do this for Chinese New Year as well, I believe it’s end of Jan in 2020, they sell to give out red envelope to children and stuff

A week of price surge is a good opportunity for traders to sell since they know the price will soon dive after it, the only who will buy are the ones who doesn't trade but hold for the long period of time. Its still an indication that they know that the longer they hold could get them more profit. This is if they don't run out of patience that after months they see price still below their halving expectation.

I think the new year will be a better ibr year for Bitcoin. I do not expect excessive activity in prices by the end of December. I think the bitcoin price will enter the new year at $ 7500. People are always so excited, they want the bitcoin price to go up too high. We need time.

Bitcoin week,  we'll it has nice ringing to it,  but I think it shouldn't be based on the period where people buy btc the most, I doubt there is even a particular period where this happens every year.
If we can actually have a btc week, it should be because we wanna celebrate this great currency

It's about that time of year. It only happens once per year. "Bitcoin Week" ... it really seems like it should be a thing doesnt it?

People buy a lot of bitcoins during those holiday times.

All nuzzled up all comfy in clean warm clothes, sitting on comfy couch next to the tree glowing, the scent of pine in the air, sipping hot chocolate! Might as well buy some coin on your laptop. Buy, hold, whatever it is...

So should we coin this and put a stamp on it?
