I am confused how Bitcoin can increase while no country wants to buy it because they forbid their people to stay away from Bitcoin. That means the demand for Bitcoin will decrease, causing Bitcoin prices to weaken and plummet. IMO. And I don't think Bitcoin will reach $1M.

No, it won't happen, rather if all country bans Bitcoin, its value will be zero! Bitcoin is digital money, it's price has increased and will increase more because of the more people adoption with it. But what if people don't give a priority because of the government bans? how can Bitcoin's value become 1 Million Dollars? No way. That time, Bitcoin will be used only in black markets/dark web to do bad things! So, there will be no honor or value for Bitcoin in the open world!

I don't believe it too that if all countries banned bitcoin it will shoot upto 1 million dollar, because what we need right now is an adoption of it. More people using it means more demand of it and price increase will follow. This is natural and organic growth, and this is all we need.

If ever it reach $1M with banning from all countries, it means one thing.. it is manipulated and only a few owns it.Not  good way for bitcoin to thrive.

IF the whole world ban BTC at first BTC will Crash very hard but only for a few month, Demand will be increased while there will be no Legal Seller, All trade will go to undergrand and  Black market and illegal traffic, sellers will start to selling BTC 50 X more than current price. BTC will be more expensive, As simple as that,
That was an answer for these who said BTC will die if whole world Ban it, So no BTC never Die.

If all countries decide to ban Bitcoin, things may not go that easy for the price. In a situation like that, there would be noone to be able to use Bitcoin for anything and it would create a chaos for the market.

There is no clear and right logic here if your reason to ban Bitcoin is that it will hit $1 million because the black market will be the one to sell it.
So you want people to go to the black market to buy and sell there? if you want Bitcoin to become illegal stuff then all the hard work we've accomplished in the past ten years will go to nothing.
And lastly who will call to ban Bitcoin when it is already everywhere, people will call you out of your mind if you suggest that it will be ban, you are ten years late to do that.

hmph..
Bitcoin demand is increasing because people choose Bitcoin as an investment asset. If, Bitcoin is only available on the black market, it will reduce the demand for Bitcoin. How can you be sure if demand will increase when Bitcoin got banned and just accepted by black market users? Is it because the price of Bitcoin reaches 1 million will make the majority of the world's population switch to the black market? I think it's very impossible.

lol nice iniative brother . i was amazed on you because you still manage to save btc in your own little ways by creating unimaginative thoughts like this but anyway i think im not going to agree on you this time because on my mind if btc trully banned worldwide , there will be no buyers and sellers which will result for its value to go down and die.  and if anyone want to insist or is going to against by this rule , they will be punished hard if caught . this applies to both seller and buyer , so wont you be afraid with that ?

I also believe that many countries in 1-2 years will form their cryptocurrency portfolio. They will at least do this to protect their own interests. This will certainly be done by developed countries that have free financial resources.

I agree with you, it is inevitable

Yes, governments need to keep up with the times or fall behind, and they will fall behind believe in that. The only thing to do is to join in since they can't stop it or change it.

I remember the day when Gov of India announced that cryptocurrencies were not legal tender and the transactions were not recognized by the reserve bank, that day bitcoin crashed hard. If all the countries ban it (impossible) the bitcoin will lose more than 80% of its users. So it may crash down totally.

And after the crash, if someone requests to buy my bitcoin at the price 1M$ I shall not because I am not interested in any kind of illegal activity.

I don't know why it would have caused the crash. It doesn't matter if bitcoin is legal tender you can still use it. I think you confused.
So if someone wants to buy your bitcoin for one million you will say no??
You, sir, are an idiot.
Just because a few morons made up a law doesn't make it right. Check your morals.

I think it's very unlikely that bitcoin is banned by all countries, because everything has pros and cons. Likewise with bitcoin
it is not possible for all parties to oppose bitcoin, there must be those who support it. Moreover now many countries have
legalized bitcoin and adopted bitcoin as a means of payment. That used as an alternative to fiat. After all, bitcoin brings many
benefits to human life. So the possibility of all countries banned will not happen.
Indeed, well despite of having some issues regarding legalization bitcoin was able to overcome different problems through the years. I don't think government have enough reason to ban it since its beneficial to us, they just don't see its capabilities. Also, is there any specific reason for them to do it? is that reason valid enough to ban bitcoin? Its possible but the people who supports bitcoin won't allow it to happen. As you can see bitcoin had changed the life of many of us and its the reason why people keep on supporting and believing on it, for that reason it will be difficult for them to ban bitcoin. Other than that, some government officials from different countries already know bitcoins true value that is why I don't think it will be a big deal for them since some of them are already have enough understanding about how bitcoin actually works. They have allow it to give opportunities to their people like us and we have gain so many benefits. Its a bit complicated but you should think of it carefully.

I do not understand the rationale for your reasoning. Why should the price of bitcoin rise by 50 times if all governments ban it? Why should the demand for bitcoin after its prohibition increase if it cannot be legally used anywhere? It is quite obvious to me that he cannot have significant material value after his complete prohibition. In this case, Bitcoin will be almost completely used between people; there will be no rules for transactions. Therefore, theft and fraud will flourish.
However, a complete ban on bitcoins does not threaten him yet.

That would be nice, if all 200 countries banned it.

We wouldn't be able to pay $1M for Bitcoin though, I suspect. And then forget even p2p because all my bank accounts and all those of other buyers and sellers would all be watched.

Then what would I ask for BTC? Gold?
With OP logic I think he is trying to implement a concept of rare commodity... it does not bring the demands increasing but make it more valueable as the bitcoin you looking for is hard to get, that would only work at the first stage ... I mean we know that bitcoin is getting popular and become an attention for common people.

But once they find out that it's hard to get access to buy and or sell bitcoin due every single country ban bitcoin ... guess what would happened? There's no more interest and people leaving just like that.

Nobody buying ... nobody selling... then the end of bitcoin is a sure thing. The concept itself is invalid and the logic is wrong.

Banning Bitcoin in most countries will not really make it $1M as the demand is very minimal and people within those countries who didn't ban Bitcoin will create panic, as the number of users will not that increase compare if Bitcoin will not restrict in all countries. So, we should not be happy at all if most countries will ban Bitcoin.

I believe that most people think that if Bitcoin is banned, then its price will rise to a million dollars precisely because they take, for example, the arms and drugs trade on the Black Market.  These products are also prohibited in most countries and their price is really very high.  But I believe that in this case it is necessary to explain what the value of bitcoin will be if it is not possible to use it.

If bitcoin is banned worldwide the number of criminals will increase, As simple as that! Because all transactions using bitcoin will be considered criminal. So why use it when you know you are going to jail for this.
You can't even sell it legally and you'll definitely find it difficult. So the price of bitcoin will drop and no new investor will have the interest to invest in it.

If Bitcoin really gets restrict across the world I doubt that the price will pump simply because the demand will dictate the liquidity of the market. If Bitcoin gets banned the volume will definitely drop and that could also a big impact.  Bitcoin will be nothing without its community hence, it will crash.

if bitcoin were banned everywhere, why would demand increase? demand from who?

i mean sure, black markets could still exist, but prohibition greatly cuts markets down in size. all institutional investment would cease, mainstream retail investors would jump ship. its utility would be greatly reduced because cheap, legal fiat gateways would be gone and only expensive, black market exchangers would exist. miners couldn't operate in the open, reducing the value of the network's security as hash rate drops.

i don't think bitcoin would die but a million bucks? sounds like crazy talk to me. Smiley

It also what I think when I read this. So they use it as an illegal? But how they can use it? If the whole world banned it then it would be trash because you cannot withdraw your money when it is banned.

Freedom doesn't exist if governments start banning bitcoin. It is not a world I would want to live in that is for sure. I honestly would rather not live then be controlled.
You correct it is not possible for anything to be opposed 100% there will always be those who do not, it's just mathematical.

You cannot ban something that is so free and easy to set up and use. It is like trying to ban a certain site or indeed the internet. Sure you can make it a vit harder but ban? I think not. Not even in china it is that bad. You just bypass using VPN and it is just a it of inconvenience that is all.

Yeah, no matter how much each country would like to ban Bitcoin, for sure they cannot do it, as they cannot stop people from doing this, so the least thing they should do is to study it and check how are they going to regulate and make some laws regarding it for the protection of many users such as those who were victimize of scam.
