This.. actually makes so much sense.

Of course, now that you've said it, the influence of speculators is going to drown out this effect and we go back to ground zero  Cheesy

Since past few weeks this expectation of price go high is continuing. Now the price is stable, so its expected to go high on halving. Till that little increase can be experienced.

Yep, here's some more predictions for you:

Bitcoin will go DOWN this week

this is based on what analysis? current price is very stable , we are stuck there before the storm

by looking at the past activity we can clearly see that you're talking bullshit

I noticed the price change, but what exactly made it go up at this moment ? Can't seam to find anything that would justify the sudden move?
Random whale buy-in, or something else ?! Much confused, very wow

i hope that it will at least break 430 dollar mark and make me some money

Its really sad that the price drop from 450 to 400 and now 417+,i too would like for the price to come close to 430 or back at 450 to make some really good profit.

It has been stable for a long time now, and I do not really think it will go up much from here. I guess that 420 or so is possible, but 440 seems unlikely.

At this point $440 may look far away for you, but a whale can get the price there instantly if he so wish. Right now I can't see the price go up much. Maybe it will go to $422 or so and then come back to around $410.

Well I suppose that is fairly true.

Bitcointalk is the #1 forum for discussions surrounding bitcoin online and is really "up there" in popularity when it comes to politics, society and technology.

Therefore, there's a majority of the community that trades cryptocurrencies and altcoins (and thus who controls the price) who reads and posts on here. Any bad news or negative speculation could cause these traders to get worried and start selling their shares of bitcoin. This can result in a snow ball effect, where everyone releases everything causing the price to plummet.

Of course, there is also hype surrounding halving which is in just a few short months (and which we cannot wait for). This is guaranteed to send the price through the roof, so perhaps it is also announcements/events that are happening at the same time that most people are being "peaceful".

With some good news about Bitcoin the price could be go higher. Mostly there are some Bitcoin news and that could influence the price.

This week is very short as we only have today and Sunday left. My prediction is that we see the price reach $430-$440 somewhere next week.

So what level of price do you mean by "up" ? Is it only a $10 movement ? I do not consider the movement of the market as up trend except if the price breaks the nearest resistance point

I think bitcoin will go up to 700 dollar before the halving, as I predict it will be at May.
we are getting near and I hope your prediction will come true mate, I want also to keep my coins until June I'm thinking that after summer all will come back to business and as many company now embracing bitcoin system it will help to go up.
Well, I hope it's also the best. I will save my bitcoin in recent months. probably about 3 months, perhaps at that moment bitcoin prices already so high that I could sell it. but for this week, I think bitcoin prices remained stable or less at the price of $ 415
