I just saw the future
Filled with cold
Darkened horizon stretching
To the broken sky

I just saw the future
Full of dust
Bloody locusts swarming
Through the dead

I just saw the future
Felled by tech
Murderous robots hunting
Those with the mark

Excellent poem!

Say what you want about the numbers, but I think bitcoins looks pretty solid from here.  There is lots of good press, and even banks are starting to use the technology.  All signs point to go!

Hehe, yes, I think it's pretty cool tho! Tongue I think that Bitcoin is good now, but I will be the happiest guy on the Earth if BTC goes to $1000 and stay stable at this amount... it would be pretty much amazing, at least for me Smiley

1000 is shit nothing. Marketcap of 4 billions, potential marketcap on the trillion dollars considering how much Bitcoin can disrupt and be intrusive in other markets and eventually automate them and deprecate them thought the blockchain.
Unfortunately most people here will dump at 1000 and will miss on the 5 figures a BTC lifestyle.

Wouldn't complain either about a stable bitcoin price of over 1000$. But let's start with baby steps and first break the 400$ resistance, after that we can maybe be really happy to witness the first real rally after a long time. At least for me it would be the first, that I am active participating. The one in the end of 2013 i had not enough stake in the game to get really excited about all the crazy stuff, that happened at that time. Smiley

I think I'll preemptively start the "Bitcoin will never reach $1000000 again..." thread.  Grin

If you go back to the early posts and see how they predicted Bitcoin would never reach dollar parity, let alone $10, you can see how we aren't just ready to predict Bitcoin.

It is still true.

BTC will never fall back to $100 again. Same magnitude, opposite direction

Hahaha, thanks for the creative bump. The speculation forum is a great place to dig around in. It's interesting seeing what the predictions were like. And since many of the members that made predictions in the past are still around, you can sort of get an idea for who the people you should listen to are.

Thanks!

I get inspired, sometimes. But I lost my muse, a long time ago. I miss her, sometimes.

I come here, in 2015, just to prove that Bitcoin already did it and it will do more! Smiley

don't think it will do so again from this point. especially with the block halving in 2016. it just doesn't make sense for the price to go near the $100 level.

Well honestly I want to see it drop again so I can get in for the second wind rally Haha

You and everyone else... which is why it wont happen. lol

Actually markets work like that if investors aren't afraid of it that is
Supply and demand if something falls more is bought after all
Well either way I am going to keep buying Smiley

History disagrees!

In the past month, we've had several flash-crashes, each one about 20% down from recent highs.

Even if you're a turbobull, until/unless we pass $125 it's silly to expect that bitcoins will never trade for less than a Benjamin.

The original post was done in jest - I was pretty sure we'd hit $100, just didn't know when. As for the charts - yes, I'd keep in mind that we could have another $20 decline at any time if we get overheated. Wouldn't really affect my long-term stance on bitcoin, though.

I could see it dipping down from $140 to the $90s. Every dip seems to grow larger Sad

Well, we got there faster than I thought. Just another example of what happens when you say "never" about bitcoin.

Interesting times.
Then I hope it "never" hits $100,000 Smiley
