LOL, It was really funny, I am posting as well in this thread to see if the prediction of the op becomes true I have my doubts it is going to happen that soon but bitcoin surprised me in the previous year, if you had told me that bitcoin will grow to 20000 in just a single year I would have said that was crazy and yet it happened, so we never know, we may reach 1 million dollars by 2030.

We can't never know. Once we reach $1,000,000 the confidence in Bitcoin will be supreme, after having defeated all previous limits, so it may be actually a risk to sell since it may keep going higher long term or best case scenario find some sort of balance due the big marketcap lowering volatility %, so it will be an attractive place to keep your wealth at vs pretty much anything else.

Same thing happened with $10,000, a lot of people sold and missed the gains up to $20,000. Hell a lot of people started selling at $3000 expecting a crash similar MtGox or the one we have seen recently, so never count on "round numbers means crash".

Wake up guyz , to those people who until now believe bitcoin will reach 1,000,000 is very impossible. You expect too much.
What if those people who have thousands of bitcoin become billionaire if that happen and I don't know how much is the market cap of the bitcoin . Maybe bitcoin will die after few years so be ready and prepare for that.

You really got my attention and I opened the thread because of the way it was captured. I believe that a day is coming were we would have to see the relevant of this post and identify with the reality in it. I have thought it to be around 2026.

Well $1mio in 12+ years is a pretty big stretch imo, but it is possible if we take into account that 80% of the coins are already distributed and until 2030 another 3 halvings will have happened with a block reward cutted down to 1,5625 BTC.
Falling back to 6 figures after that is more than likely as a million buck per coin will be a very strong barrier to break. After the rejection it could take another decade to make a double top and then maybe breaking through it.
Until then the question will be how low the 6 figures will be after the 1million rejection. Bitcoin won't that much volatile anymore in that time, so we could see a value of 500k+ per coin.
But again... it is possible to reach those highs, but is imo a very very optimistic outlook, which of course all of the super bullhorns here are having ind mind I would guess.
Imagine how much the world would change when suddenly, some of the BTC OGs like Trace Mayer and some of the developers become the richest people on this planet!
This will not happen without strong resistance by the incumbents of the actual financial and political system.

as for 1,000,000 USD per BTC - you think governmets would allow bitcoin to be as big as US GDP? Doubt that. Governments can easily shut down all major exchanges if they see bitcoin as a threat to their money-printing venture

Even if bitcoin will reach $1,000,000 at the year of 2030ish then it is still too early to talk about this and no one knows if thats will really happen that time. But I am also waiting for that year and I am not expecting that too high. Average high amount of bitcoin is enough for me, as long as I don't lose some of my bitcoin. Grin

It will be a bit of a job finding this thread after another 12 years.
I think the value will rise for sure because BTC offers so much more over FIAT,

You must be kidding here. Bitcoin will never reach $1M because that is an enormous value even if only 1000 bitcoins would be available on the earth. I dont think bitcoin is so priceless that it could worth that much and the price is also very volatile so that market would fluctuate a lot then and people would either lose a lot of money or make a lot of profit. We are talking here about $1M in todays money because in the future 1,000,000$ could be considered only 10.000$ of today's money and bitcoin value would be the same as today.

I'm not sure bitcoin will reach the value of 1 billion dollars by 2030 although in 2012 there are predicting bitcoin value reaches 12K and damn right dude bitcoin has reached 12K even more than that 21K bitcoin has achieved great value, and then some say bitcoin will exceed 45K in 2025 and it's still a question mark. I'm sure bitcoin will reach 100K only by 2030 Grin

I am really happy with the current price and i am not sure what the market will look like five years from now let alone twelve years. The price might reach those valuations or we might even see new revolutionary technology by that time, anything is possible.
