This is why I have liquidated my position in Bitcoins. There is very little upside going forward. Block size limit is too low. No forward moves of late have any traction whatsoever and demand continues to lag. Way too little upside for such a risky proposition so my advice is to move into dollars.  Only a significant change in the economy could alter this forecast.

well why you say that it won't go to 700$ again, it's not too far, 430$ at this moment and price rises only, also don't forget about China, and of course halving, which will rise price, so if we'll have, lets say, 500$ before halving, one week after halving price should be atleast 650$, so 700$ is pretty realistic

Later this year i presume the bitcoin price may reach 800-1000$ but lets hope that it would stay that way and not go beyond 800.
The price increase will depend on halving and people who are currently in need of bitcoin.

Indeed, the price will go to a higher amount for sure, I have no doubts about that at all so I think we just have to believe in it.
It also just a matter of time before we find out what is gonna happen, I even think its gonna be more than 700 dollar.

It would be great to see that value at the time of halving, and if it reaches there then we can expect $1k price at the end of the year, but I think $700 is quiet achievable in this year.

I think even a significant change in the economy wont necessarily be big for btc.  I mean look at what happened in Greece.  People tried to bring a bunch of btc atms into the country, but it was too little too late.

And you really think in an economic emergency situation people will be thinking "how can I get my hands on some bitcoin?" I doubt it.  People will be raiding grocery stores, etc.  Some may buy some btc, but it wont be enough to jump the price.

I don't know why some people think that Bitcoin will never reach this price when we know that Bitcoin already exceed the predictions of many experts since few years ago, and got the highest prices.

I think people are a bit disappointed in how this new year started. A lot people were thinking the price would increase significantly in January, and it didn't happen. They then put their focus on February, and still it didn't happen. That's why some one them may become quite negative in their thinking.
i think not all people in here get disappointed even bitcoin price isn't much up it closed by price moved around $400-$440 it good to take a profit, right.

it will happen . after halving it can all change. I'm sure with the reduction by half bitcoin is 50% of the market can increase the desire to own bitcoin. bitcoin will be increasingly sought after. and the price of 700USD will be very easily achieved bitcoin.

Of course we can expect a increase by the end of halving, but we can't see the price getting fixed to $700 for a long term.
There is always a possibility that it can happen. But it will maybe takes a long time and that is the problem.
Not everyone can wait such a long time. So that is bad. But we have all to wait for a good value.

You never know what will happen in the future and that is hard to predict. I hope that more people will use Bitcoin.
And that they can have some more profit later in the future. But you never know what will happen with the value. The halving is also coming.

You are mixing things a lot. Halving means that the number of coins available in the new blocks to be found will be cut into half. But, look at the number of coins already in circulation. There are already plenty of coins mined that won't be influenced by halving at all. And these coins may be used to push the price down arbitrary low.

Still i'm hopeful it will reach more than $700 someday, it may be during or after halving. the more users and merchants using bitcoin, i'm pretty god damn sure, we will see how much we can move the price with more transactions being processed everyday.

Like $300 price levels, $700 also will get passed by bitcoin in one or 2 days' trading sessions when it will be heading towards $1000 or $1200 price levels. We need to be more patience till halving to face these surprises.

your prediction will fail within next 3 months when bitcoin reach $1000 or more, upcoming halving will surely affect the price of bitcoin and most of chances are it will pump higher the previous halving.

are you sure with halving bitcoin can up to $1000 again Huh in my opinion after halving the bitcoin network will be down, and the fee of each transaction will be increase, maybe arround 50k/transaction . this is can make bitcoin bad for micropayment.

i agree.
OP prediction is totally wrong because a price like $700 is nothing big and eventually we are going to get there but it need more time.
additionally there is halving on the way which can cause a bubble so we might even get passed 700

I wouldn't say it will never exceed that price. But it will be difficult without further innovations. Halving alone should get us to $500-600 max., to go further we need something more. Also the latest top ($1200+) was achieved thanks to bot plays, on a scale that will be complicated to repeat.

sure but i dont give high hopes for halving i expect something bigger but after halving maybe hitting over 900 but 1000 seem little difficult to achieve at the moment

some people just get caught up with the whole hype.

and what they fail to see is the whole "buy orders" concept on the exchange to actually be there. So yeah, like you mentioned if no one reacts to the halving then itll stay mutual.

I agree, after halving and with some developments made, we can go further, even towards $1000. But it is a bit more distant future.

Of course there will be a chance that it can reach. But you never know when it will happen and how long it takes.
You can see now that the value is rising slowly and that is very good. But you dont know when it stops and that is the problem. The halving is also coming.
