I think this is more likely to happen in 2019. The bear market still has some way to go before the accumulation begins.
It's very difficult for bitcoin to make a high jump this year, because the market seems slow with so much panic on the market. This year bitcoin doesn't have enough time to jump 20k, and maybe in 2019 it will be more likely to happen.
I'd be very very surprised. Going to take a couple of years most likely. 
It is a good thing that you have accepted the fact that the price of bitcoin is not going to recover as fast as many people predict, most of the predictions that I see are very similar to the subject of the thread, many people believe that bitcoin is going to recover at the end of this year and I find that to be very unlikely because there is simply not enough demand for bitcoin to recover that fast, so as you say it is probably going to take a few years for that to happen.Also, for most part of the people that hopped in last year, I am sure they will want to keep having that mindset that the same bullish move that occurred last year will occur this year to start setting a new ATH record, but things usually do not happen that way after a bear trend as there would always be huge resistances to cross as we move up unless we just see some high level of demand based on news with some squashing of sell walls as we move higher.
That's still possible if we set last year as an example of what is happening now. Bitcoin is also down last September and it starts to rise again in October until December where it recorded its all time high. But no matter what's gonna be the price of bitcoin this year, i am not giving more attention to it because i am holding my portfolio including bitcoin for a long term.

Not betting on anything above 10k for 2018. A solid run to cap this year may get us just around that 10k level and that would already be something to be thankful for considering the way the market is moving.

This can not be sure to tell end of 2018 Bitcoin will touch 20K USD.But last year price was low suddenly price was high.It can occur anything anytime.

Well many of us wants bitcoin to be rise but we can't predict what will happen about the price of bitcoin. If bitcoin will continue increase this September our hopes will be true and everybody will grateful because they will get a good profit. 20K was what I would have said earlier but I think it will be closer to 12K and then maybe have a big jump in the spring past 20k.
No I don’t think so because there is huge gap between $20k and the current situation of the market and the bitcoin price. You should give such future price and time which is acceptable. This is totally nonsense that the price will reach to $20k in just 3 coming months. It means that you want a big bump in the price, don’t know how and why but you need big bump. No I don't think so that Bitcoin can reach up to this amount at the end of 2018 because this is too early.The price of Bitcoin is very low from a very long time and it is unable to recover.The demand of Bitcoin is also falling day by day because of the fall in price.The investors are withdrawing their money from Bitcoin because they are suffering from losses.Now the users are also selling their Bitcoins because they are not earning profits.Countries are also banning Bitcoin due to its volatility and it is decentralized.
why not ? cant you see last year ( 2017 ) bitcoin did start on a verry low price , lower than 6k usd but eventually after the third quarter of the year , its value did unexpectedly rise reaching 18k usd in just a matter of short time . now this year everyone is expecting again for that to happen . we are looking forward to see a new ath record this time , maybe 20k to 25k usd is our expectation before we end the year 2019 .

I hope that is true, because indeed btc has shown signs of improvement and not only btc, many coins also experience price increases and hopefully investors, buyers and sellers of bitcoin are also happy with this situation.
The actual thing is that if the price growth continue like this one for some more time then it is possible that it reach $20000 but not till the end of this year because just a quarter year more to go and the difference is very big. There is no sign of unnatural pump in the price, and with normal growth it is not possible in just 3 months. We will have to wait for long time to see this price.Do you think that it is possible for bitcoin to reach $20k till the end of this year? The chances of that happening go lower each day it passes, now September is almost over and now we have only three months for that to happen, I know that most of the growth in the last year came in the last three months of the year, but back then there was a lot of hype regarding bitcoin and its development and we had also many positive news coming from different countries but now that is not the case, so expecting such a recovery is a mistake.

Though my hopes of having to see bitcoin at 20,000$ before the end of this year is still in me, but i also have the feeling that this long months of bitcoin's bearish trend will continue until the year ends. Basically, no one can exactly answer this question because by definition, digital currencies are unpredictable.
I really like and love to hear the price of bitcoin at the end of 2018 can return to the price of $ 20k again but if you realize it all might not happen because the current price of bitcoin falls deeply and must need good news and lots of money to make prices bitcoin goes back to the price of $ 20k. I feel that it's impossible to happen.
There is a demand on the market, i think. The force of staying above $6000 is getting weaker and there are prediction that the persistence might loosen the resistance and go lower than $6000 to $3000. I dont know those who wants to benefit from the dump but its not inviting to investors. If the resistance could exist by November it might probably hit $20000 by December even $25k at most

Things are taking it quite slowly and more naturally than what happened last year. I think we should all forget about ending 2018 the same way. Yeah there may be a sustained positive movement but 20k is way too far out for now.
