yes bitcoin is the world currency , every country has its own currency but the bitcoin is for the whole world, people from the world are making investment in the bitcoin and also making trade in the bitcoin , they are earning well from the bitcoin too. the bitcoin is online and easily accessible to all from world. so it means the bitcoin is the currency of the world.
Something that I have recently been wondering... if anyone could create a cryptocurrency (and they can) then why would Bitcoin necessarily be the world currency if literally everyone could make or copy it?

The use of bitcoin is still limited, even many people who do not know bitcoin, this makes us have extra hard work to make bitcoin as world currency, because the world currency should be used en masse in various countries.
Yes it can be possible that we can buy all commodities from bitcoin worldwide but for that bitcoin needs to reach every person's home and this process will take a bit long time.

Recently you still can not use bitcoin as payment in entire country in the world. Mostly country nkt regulated bitcoin yet as payment. Bitcoin can be transferable from anywhere this is not only enough to be a world currency. The world traditional paper currency will exist till the end of this world due the poverty in this world, all people don't have the technology equipment to access bitcoin. One day world will accept cryptocurrency which is rocking.
Functionally and legally, of course, bitcoin isn't yet fully a world currency because in fact not everyone in the world knows and can use bitcoin well, although currently popularity of bitcoin is very high but not yet fully used by everybody. And it is still too early for bitcoin become the world's currency because of many factors that become obstacles to the development of bitcoin.
Yes, this is always a welcome possibility. Certainly companies all over the world are becoming interested with bitcoin and educating themselves on how to use it to their advantage in the future.

I think it will be difficult for the mean time because of that tick on bitcoin that it is decentralized people and countries is having doubts to its legality although it is legal to use it is like a nuetral currency to be frank because no one owns it and it is only powered by the miners through every transactions. If this will be implemented on all things billing i would have no hassle or whatsoever anymore.
It`s impossible at the moment. Many governments are afraid for legalization bitcoin because of the fact that so large amounts of dirty money being transferred through bitcoins and governments cant track them in any way. In countries with little violence, economy can collapse at all because of this. Only developed countries can afford this.

Maybe. As little by little people and countries are accepting bitcoins or they will also start accepting it as payment. Here in my place there are retails stores that literally accept bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. They even make a sign board outside their stores

Bitcoin really has a great effect to our economy since we have been helped by bitcoin to have a financial freedom. So i think bitcoin will be the world cryptocurrency. So what are you waiting for just start earning bitcoin now.

I think it will be difficult and bitcoin unlikely to serve as a world currency because of all the people or society has not yet learned of the bitcoin and must adapt to first introduced it. But if bitcoin as payment or online transactions that would likely occur in addition to payments with real money. In addition user bitcoin also less compared with the world's population, bitcoin would be great made as personal assets. 
I believe that that day will come soon when bitcoin will become the favorite alternative currency that is accepted everywhere.
There is hardly any reason to deny the worth and importance of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best way of earning money so far this world has ever seen. Bitcoin has so many features and it will really be a very good idea to see this bitcoin becoming the world currency. This will bring lot of positive changings to this world and I am very much hopeful that this will going to bring peace to this world.Most of the investors are obviously a business and they are hiring adviser which are encouraging them to invest in bitcoins because they see that there is a bright future in bitcoins and the value will still grow in the future.

Bitcoin now was so amazing actually, because of its aggressive volatility increasing. But it is not still enough I think to be considered to say that bitcoin can be the world currency. Just important now is we must ride on the trend.
Bitcoin will not be the world currency. There will be many cryptos and they will all share a piece of the global currency.
If history show us something is that there is only one global currency at the time, the British pound was king until the dollar replaced it and now the dollar is becoming weaker since the US cannot stop printing them at some point that is going to hurt them since they do not seem to understand basic economics anymore and it is going to be replaced by something, what is that going to be is the mystery, bitcoin does not have a lot of chances of being the one that replaces it but it is going to become a good parallel system to the fiat we have to use everyday. Precisely the currency of the virtual world that has the highest selling price, because bitcoin still can not be used to conduct transactions directly in the real world because in some bitcoin countries it is still illegal.
Yes there are some hurdles, impediment and constrains in bit coin like in some countries bit coin is illegal while china has ban on bit coin but still the price of bit coin indicates the best future of bit coin so bit coin is the only currency for which we can expect that it will be the world currency.Jump to:
