It can be done if all the world's state legalize bitcoin, what about the state that prohibits bitcoin as a means of payment as in my country, It will be difficult, as we know already many people who earn from bitcoin, and this is not directly already affect the economy.

On my opinion maybe in the future it can be but as of now people are just starting to have knowledge about the cryptocurrency. People of the world is lack of knowledge about this currency but in the near future i think we can use bitcoin as a World wide currency. There are lots of possibilities that may happen in the future if bitcoin will grow bigger and better. Bitcoin started as small time comparing to its start bitcoin become bigger right now so I think it is really possible that Bitcoin will be world currency. That is just my opinion peace

In my opinion it is seems to be difficult for Bitcoin to become a world currency. No government never want any circumstances in which an digital currency control their country economy. Bitcoin is also illegal in may country due to various reasons. Bitcoin is an decentralised currency so if any thing wrong happen then no one takes the responsibility of this and people related to it might be suffer and it has no physical evidence. Due to those above thing it will never be a world currency. 
It is very possible but the problem is in the regulators of each country, for now many countries are still reluctant to accept bitcoin as a means of payment / still illegal in the country. and if bitcoin becomes the world currency the economic impact is the currency of some countries will experience inflation because with so many people who will move using bitcoin instead of using fiat.
