Bitcoin7's userbase has been dwindling for months.  I'm glad I stopped using them.

Do we know the addresses they had in those wallets? Can we track what happens to the money after the attack?

Ruxum can't open up soon enough. I still don't trust Magic The Gathering Online Exchange's security.

I have to say, Ruxum worries me a bit too.  The fact that their trading engine was completely down for several days (sep. 27 - Oct. 3) without any sort of announcement doesn't inspire much confidence.
yep, me too. not convinced this is as legit as some would like us to believe.

I think the terrible bitcoin exchanges being run out of Eastern European students' parents' basements are already baked into the cake, so to speak.

I wonder if whoever sold into the bid walls were the hackers dumping their stolen bitcoins...

This should not come as a surprise.  Some of us warned here on this forum of errors and insecure design of Bitcoin7 from the beginning, some suspecting a scam.  People will hopefully learn, again, to not trust their money, Bitcoin or fiat, to strangers.  It should be obvious.

Too many noobs are playing with people's money. It is good to have more than 2 exchanges but not this way.

+1

However I don't really think this is going affect the market much or at least it shouldn't. We're probably talking at most 3-5000 BTC gained from the hack which might be able to put a 20cent dent in the market but apart from that I don't really see much happening.

What worries me is that this hack might actually have happened a while ago and been covered up for 1-2weeks during the a lot of extra peeps might have been taken to the cleaners.
