Hello,

trading fee is currently 0,5%. Withdraw / deposit fee is 0.0. Deposit and withdraw is only with bitcoin, since we serve as a marketplace, where traders meet and send Euro with their bank-account / automatically with their fidor-bank-account.

+++ Accounts certified: Bitcoin.de receives seal of approval +++

Dear customers,

now our auditor has confirmed: bitcoin.de manages the customers' funds correctly. This is the first time a bitcoin marketplace was audited by an independent and acknowledged audit firm applying german standards of audits.

You can find the whole article about the audit here:

+++ Cooperation with audit firm RLT to verify customers’ bitcoin balances +++

Dear customers,

we proudly announce that bitcoin.de is the first bitcoin trading center that co-operates with an acknowledget audit firm to verify customer's bitcoin balances. After a long search for a partner that accepts the challenge we found one with RLT. The audit is made with german accuracy and ensure's the anonymity of our customers.

Read more: http://bitcoinblog.de/2014/09/25/bitcoin-de-co-operate-with-acknowledged-audit-firm-to-verify-customers-bitcoin-balances/.

Quote
Of course, it was necessary to discuss various issues such as cold wallets, the blockchain and other aspects of the bitcoin ecosystem. But within a few weeks bitcoin.de and RLT developed a procedure to verify that bitcoin.de does indeed hold its customers’ bitcoin balances. One major strand of such an audit is to consider and eliminate any possibility that bitcoin.de might mislead the auditor. The audit was carried out using control samples, because a complete verification was not practical. The creation of the sample was made in a way that takes into account the risk factors and guarantees a solid outcome.

RLT is auditing both the desired and actual state of the balances. The desired state is the balances that are used by the databases of bitcoin.de. The actual state is the balances that can be found in the blockchain and that are owned by bitcoin.de (who hold the private keys). The audit consists of three parts that started on Monday, September 1, after initial tests.

Dear customers,

after we had talks to several certified public accountant firms we finally won on to audit our Bitcoin-reserves. Beginning at monday the auditors will control several accounts. Customers who are chosen will receive a message in their dashboard and asked for the permission.

More infos about the procedure and some details about the company and our quest to convince them to ad Bitcoin to their business will follow. We keep you updated.

The picture some customers will see in their dashboard looks like this (german version):

+++ NEW: Live-Charts for your website with the price-widget and a documentation of the API +++

Dear customers,

for everyone who wants to stream livecharts on your website, we made this ridiculously easy with our price-widget. You don't even need to know javascript. Simple, foolsafe html is enough to implement the bitcoin.de-price-widget. It's available in several outfits. For example it looks like this:

or, if you want, like this

Currently we are thinking about implementing a widget for the bulls and a widget for the bears.

More info about the widget: https://www.bitcoin.de/en/api/price-widget

Next point: Our API-documentation. We wrote a documentation for our API-users and translated it into english. I hope it is helpful for everyone who wants to use our API's data about prize and volume. One special feature of it: we also send average prizes, usually 3hours, but also 12hours. The documentation: https://www.bitcoin.de/en/api/marketplace

Last point: We are currently working on translating our website into major european languages. For this we are searching for volunteers. More info can be found here: http://bitcoinblog.de/2014/07/14/every-word-helps-bitcoin-de-is-looking-for-translators/

Did you know:

on bitcoin.de you can download an account statement. In your account you can generate a list with all of your trade and activities in a specific time-frame (purchase, sell, deposit, disbursement). You can download the account statement as a .csv.

We hope this helps you with your tax declaration or your book-keeping.

Further questions are always welcome.

Dear customers.

since today Bitcoin.de has a new feature: we can send our automatic emails to you signed and encrypted. Since we send you a one-time-password for the login and ongoing information about your trades, this is not just a matter of privacy but also of security.

If you want to use this feature just go to options in your account and scroll down to the bottom. Here you have three options:
- neither sign nor encrypt
- sign
- sign and encrypt

If you let us sign our emails we attach a digital signature. It enables your system to identify if this email comes from us or from someone else. So you will recognize phishing-emails. To activate this option, you have to download our public key.

If you choose the third option we will further encrypt our emails so that only your system can read it and no-one else. To enable this option you have to upload your public PGP-key.

For those who are familiar with PGP-encryption this operation should be easily-done. For those who are not I suggest to invest five minute in a internet-recherche. If you use Thunderbird for emails, you can download the plugin enigmail. If you use your browser for emails you can download the plugin mailvelope as an example.

For more information see http://bitcoinblog.de/2014/05/15/automatic-emails-from-bitcoin-de-now-signed-and-encrypted-by-request/

Further questions are always welcome.

Yes you can see market depth. A ruby gem is basically a library to help get data from bitcoin.de written in ruby

I'm rather looking for public API of market depth for bitcoin.de. Not yet available?

Our API involves market depth. You can register for a API-Login. If you verify your account with your mobile phone our stuff will send you the keys for the API. Sometimes this needs some days. If you have trouble with it feel free to ask me again.

I developed a ruby gem in order to get public data from bitcoin.de

Hi,

thank you for your interest. I send it to our technical stuff, please be patient, cause they are very bussy working on bringing our API with that of our partner, the Fidor Bank together and trying to make bitcoin.de a real time exchange.

Cause my background is not IT - what is a ruby gem? Does it show the market depth?

Hallo everyone,

I have a new announcement: Now you can use your bitcoins to buy a yubikey stick directly from your bitcoin.de account. The yubikey is not keylocked, so you can use it on every application you want.

For those who don't know: A yubikey stick is a usb-stick that creates one-time-passwords. It is considered the most secure login. In our shop we offer three different models of YubiKeys.

Bitcoin.de already uses one-time-passwords that you receive by email when you login. Yubikeys help you to make this procedure even more secure and faster.

We have a couple of nice plans in our pipeline. I will keep you updated.

Some news from our marketplace to keep you up to date:

Security
  • We have improved our login security. We can’t tell you many details, but the most visible change will be the captcha you’ll soon see there after failed logins.
  • We have also made reactivating your account after a series of failed login attempts easier – this has been too complicated in the past.
  • Additionally, we now provide a visual representation of the strength of your passwords, allowing you to judge how secure they are.
  • In the near future will will be implementing a YubiKey store on our site, allowing you to buy YubiKeys for Bitcoins. We recommend you do this, as we believe it is the most secure way to protect your account.

Trading

  • You may have noticed that we have already dropped our dollar charts. The reason is not that they weren’t useful, but that up to this point we have been using Mt Gox’s data. This no longer represents the real price. We will soon be displaying the CoinDesk price index (CPI), which is an average of several international exchanges.
  • Very soon we will be providing more detailed trading data, which will appear as follows: At the top you will see the price as a candlestick. In the middle are three- and 12-hour averages. At the bottom is the volume of coins traded.
  • Additionally, there is a new option when making an offer. It has previously been possible to choose a buyer or seller from a specific country, but selecting just one country to trade with meant unchecking all of the other options. We have now made this possible with just one click.
  • Enabling the country in which your bank is based is now obligatory. The reason for this is that in the past there have been extremely cheap joke offers, which have been made available for only one exotic country. This is no longer possible.

Funding
  • Finally, we have implemented the use of QR codes for funding your account. This makes it far easier for mobile users to transfer funds into our exchange.

You'll have to register for API-keys on our market-place.

How can I register? Not necessary to be private API for trading but just public price information is fine. I could not find it neither in "Marketplace" or "Settings". Any update from below?
https://forum.bitcoin.de/threads/447-Api

1. if you register, you can do this as an api user. Don't know if you can change your settings if you are already registered. I will do research :/

2. no update about this topic. As I see it, the question was if users can use an api to set automatic trades. We would enjoy this, but at the moment our customers have to complete their trade by sending money from their bank-account. I think it wouldn't be compatible with automatic trades resp. lead to a lot of broken trades. But we are working on this things and I hope during this years we'll provide some options for this. We're evolving step by step Smiley
