you should advertise Bitcoinduit on talkgold.com for free by making a post in their HYIP section. they're all ponzi schemes anyways, this one at least pays out better. plus it's an e-currency forum, they all know how to get bitcoins

We've got an 84 BTC jackpot!
http://bitcoinduit.com/DailyMassive2
Also note that there is 3% decay all the way until 10 minutes expiration (then decay stops)!  This means SOMEONE IS GETTING PAID TODAY, so get in now!

I do feel that you should probably mention somewhere (I suggest in the rules) that for starting a round, there is a 5% fee on the initial deposit going to bitconduit. It's not mentioned anywhere right now…

Yeah, we should put that somewhere.  Suggestions?

Damn... someone spammed battlefield3 to oblivion!
It caused updateAllRounds to freeze up and spawned a few hundred threads.  I had to restart everything.
Yeah, please don't do that.
Remember, spamming rounds is bad because you don't get refunds for spam sent to the round!  Don't give away your BTC like that!

We've changed the expiration after 10 deposits rule to 24 hours.  Hopefully whoever made "expiration rule sucks" will be happy.

yeah sorry about that, that was me, I was just frustrated after it wouldn't let me do a 24h/1% decay round since rip_bitponzi was so successful I wanted to make another one with similar settings.

feel free to change the name of that round if you want to

Heh, I didn't change it, it's OK.

edit: Want a 1 BTC freeroll? nobody's taken it today.

sure, if you want just change the name of "expiration rule sucks" to fireball500's freeroll or what have you and tack it on there

thanks Smiley

Just wanted to point out a possible scam on bitcoinduit.com.  A game called "DonatetoBitcoinduit" has been made and, as per the rules, the player who created the game takes the pot.  If this is NOT actually a bitcoinduit created game, it is actually a scam.

Don't worry, I made that.  The 900000% ROI was to show people that I made it, because only I can modify the DB to allow such a huge ROI.
edit: by the way, want a 1 BTC freeroll? If so, send me settings! Smiley
Okay, I just wanted to make certain.  ^_^  And, as far as the freeroll, I'm not sure what the method you use/information you require is.  Right now, I'm just trying to build up enough BTC to get a decent graphics card and gas money.  Since I mine at about 30 Mhash/sec, I'm sticking to smaller Ponzie games in the .1 - .5 BTC range for now.  I imagine that it makes it easier for those just getting started in BTC to join the fun.

Also, while I have your attention, what are the rules in the ranging of the first opening bet (host bet)?  When I start a round, I've found that it tells me that I have to start it with the maximum bet size.  Since I start rounds ranging in .1 - .5, it tells me I have to send .5 - 0.5 BTC to begin the round.  I know that it's not 100% required since I've seen some rounds start with 50% of the maximum or less, so what are the rules as far as that's concerned?

Thank you.

Oh yeah, we never implemented the 0.5 minimum for the first bet.  Sorry about that.
For the freeroll, I need your address and settings for the game.  That way you can see how larger games play out...
Some freerolls have been amazingly unsuccessful, so choose good rules!

Today I found a bug in Bitcoinduit.  If you create a round while the server is running its update script, bitcoind is locked down and you get an error.  It then enters a blank entry where a bitcoin address should have been in the database.  This causes the update script to crash.
I'll be working on this.

Congrats on the forum ad! Tongue

These jackpots are ridiculous. Think anybody's automatically depositing?

The next round should have a huge jackpot with a one hour expiration time and at least 1% decay. :O

I'm not entirely sure whether there are bots, but I have not made an API publicly available (after what happened to bitponzi...)

After today's success, I'm announcing a couple of changes to come tomorrow.
1. Every ___th deposit gets ___ btc from the first depositor.  First depositor puts btc into address, which is refunded if round fails to achieve the desired length
2. Hall of fame -- great rounds of the past, biggest winners according to address/ip (but IP is kept hidden for obvious reasons)
3. A few minor UI changes and bugfixes
4. Lowering of fee
edit: nearly risk-free! http://bitcoinduit.com/4BTC4Ever
I'm really looking forward to #1. I think it will revolutionize ponzi. This can be the most amazing ponzi yet.
We're working on it -- sorry, but these features need to be tested and I have a huge backlog  Grin

We really need a clear list of rules if we're going to expect anybody to invest their money into this game!

Does the leftover pot go to the person who started the round?
What if nobody bets on a user's round? Do they get all of their BTC back, or does Bitcoinduit/Justduit keep the 25% fee as encouragement to only start good rounds?

Rules are the same as the old bitcoinduit ones (the ones in place when it died).
Nobody bets: they get everything back.  Leftover pot goes 100% to the round starter.
edit: Added rules to main page.
Are the rules out of date? They mention a mandatory 2% fee on each deposit and that only 50% of the remaining pot at the end of the game goes to the host. It also defines the decay feature incorrectly, not to mention reads betcoinduit instead of bitcoinduit. Tongue

Oh my god...

To get it going, I will invest in every round somebody makes on this site that gets at least 3 deposits!
Fine print: It can't be too large.

By the way, if you want to donate, head to http://justduit.net/game/wallet_test.php and send coins to that address.
All of them will be put back into bitcoinduit, either through advertising or through betting Smiley

Is the decay feature working properly on Decay Test? ( http://justduit.net/Decay_Test )

The time remaining wasn't multiplied by 25%, but multiplied by 75%. Perhaps that should be specified in your first post.

Is it the expiration time that decays, or the time remaining, which then becomes the new expiration time? I'd love to see that specified somewhere too. Smiley

We're going to have rules soon, when Jon puts up the site design Smiley
Also the decay does work like that.  The expiration time goes down by that many percent.

For whoever made the round "Ponzi," I apologize.  Didn't put enough funds into the server wallet, so I shut down updateAllRounds.  I'm putting this back up soon.  "Ponzi" is now on the main page!

It's been a wonderful 3 months in Ponziland for me.  Sadly, Bitcoinduit is clearly dead.

You can look forward to our reopening, when things look brighter for the gambling community, whenever that is.
