Hi tonyq,

at first I sent you 0.05 BTC. I know its not much but a start.
We probably have to close the page completely because of a license problem. But apart from that it was really hard to run a page like this. DDoS threats everywhere, buggy odds from our provider, server problems, expensive odds data... I am very sad about it but actually I had to know this when I started this page. I will be take care to send you more of your balance.

Why didn't they just send the full balance owed? Sounds like they don't have the coin to send back to everyone, again. Don't think anyone would be stupid enough to invest this time so they can pay back the BTC they owe.

I am very, very angry right now.
I had 47 people join bitcoinlivebets via their banner on  my site at www.bitcoinpunter.com
No doubt a good few of them have now been shafted.
When I think of how I have defended them on this forum when people were trying to take advantage of some errors on their livebetting section a while back and once even offered to grade bets for them for nothing to help out when they were struggling I feel betrayed.
I asked Anton in a personal message what was happening a couple of days after the site vanished and I told him I wouldn't publish his reply....I stuck to that promise but as it is now obvious nobody is getting the bitcoin owed to them, including me,  I have no qualms about revealing the conversation.
I received this one first:

Hello tonyq,

whatever will happen we would try to send you your balance. Please provide us your current address so we can send the amount in parts. I think you are a honest guy and you should not suffer when we have problems.

So I sent it, I then got two payments, one of 0.05 and one of 0.06, a day apart...The first payment came with this message:

Hi tonyq,

at first I sent you 0.05 BTC. I know its not much but a start.
We probably have to close the page completely because of a license problem. But apart from that it was really hard to run a page like this. I got no message with the second small payment and despite emailing him three times now nothing else has happened in the last 9 days so I am writing off what I'm owed as it's obvious nothing more will be forthcoming.
I was originally owed 0.489 and that is now 0.379 (that I will never see again).....I know others are owed a lot more.
There is 10 bitcoin in their wallet so if I'm getting no more, I feel sure the rest of you poor sods are getting absolutely nothing.
To run a contest during the World Cup knowing full well you would not be paying the winners despite them betting big in order to get to the top of the prize list is unforgiveable.

All I can say is....Fuck you Anton.
I hope you get your Karma.

i think its time to start updating the scam accusation thread with amounts lost.
Yes because 10 days are enough time but he is not responding mean he is now not coming back and run away with all investments

We at DirectBet sympathies with those of you who apparently lost their deposits and investments with the disappearance of BitcoinLiveBets.com

To date, there hasn't been a single cryptocurrency Sportsbook that we are aware of, which ceased operation gracefully and honored all withdrawal requests.

All the Bitcoin Sportsbooks that were closed in the past, with no exceptions, ran away with users deposits, and every time that happened, it hampered the reputation of the Bitcoin sports betting industry as a whole. (Note : Bitbook did pay out its users for several days after closing, but not all of them).

The purpose of this post is not to spread salt on the wounds of those affected but rather to raise the point that in today's new virtual currency era, there is absolutely no need for a Sportsbook to take deposits and hold your coins while they are not wagered.

The "My Account" -> "Deposit" type of wagering belongs to the 90s.

Today, you can bet with your coins and keep them safe in your wallet under your control while they are not in a wager.

No longer do you need to park your valuable coins on 3rd party websites and hope that they will be there when you need them.

DirectBet, stop advertising your site at every chance you get, this is totally the wrong platform. People have lost coins here and they did not ask for your advice. I do admire your site but everywhere you go to advertise, have some dignity please.

Sad to see that after running a World Cup Promo, dude ran away. Which is why i think its not good to trust new books, this guys knows the operations and may try come under a different brand, take BTC and run again.

Problem is we can't trust anyone with our Bitcoins, because of anonymous nature, there is no way we can trace him back and ask our money. He ran contest for World Cup because he knew, it was the best time for him if he want to run away.

A deposit book is still the only way to get the lines confirmed instantly without delays and getting the wrong odds - especially important with live betting.

If you use the official Bitcoin client, your bet transfers will deliver within a second or two. Unofficial wallets might sometimes have delays but this is something that they will solve over time and there is an alternative for the time being.

That's not an issue when betting in-play because the traditional deposit books force a delay anyhow when betting in-play, typically of 5-7 seconds, in order not to give an unfair advantage to those who are betting while physically presenting in the game.

This 5-7 seconds forced delay by traditional deposit books is equivalent to the time it may take for non deposit books to receive and process bet transfers.

You are spot on Mr Direct Bet.
If you had a decent 300 width banner I would have you at the top of my website instead of half way down.

I already posted that I know how to get the complete personal information of the owner.
I just want to give them some time to maybe clear the situation, because after a few days there still is
a possibility that this is not a scam but simply a situation where a tragedy in his real-life happened (death of
a family member...)

But if all of you think we´ve waited long enough I can also post the information.
(provided that I´m allowed to post real names of people by the bitcointalk rules)

Please open a thread in Scam Accusations board.

I am still surprised, no one gave him red mark yet.
Now look like no chance he will be back, he just gone without any update and steal our money.

I don't think the site and the bitcointalk "BitcoinLiveBets.com" will be back, though I think the owners may come back with a new account and a new site...

Wow, what a run off! Anybody have any information? I really like to see some doxing for BitcoinLiveBets staff. I know they are German, maybe German friends can help us.

Not looking good. Members should have known better to stay away or keep a small balance after they started looking for investors... so they could actually payout. Wonder if they lost all the BTC again due to a hack or a whale winning big.
They just decided to steal our money.
