Securing bitcoin is challenging because bitcoin is not an abstract reference to value like a balance in a bank account.Btc is very much like digital cash and gold. The core principle in btc is decentralization and it has important implications for security.

Welcome!

Bitcoin has the highest volume so if you want to experience traading with it, I think that will be the best for you to start.

For wallets beside electrum there are other good wallets that you can thru this link - - >https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Hello I am obviously new here and was hoping to get some advice. First off what's a good coin to start trading and also is there a certain wallet you guys recommend. Amy other advice would be greatly apprecated! Thanks everyone

Wallet - Electrum.
It helps you save a lot on fees by allowing SegWit addresses while using it without downloading the whole blockchain (unless you want to download it completely and run a node).

Coins - I'd advise you to stay away from trading alts ATM because alts are losing steam day by day while we are all waiting for a parabolic bullish move by BTC. Actually, BTC is the only coin to be traded in my views, but you should only do it at 1x and trade with 1/10th of the capital you want to use over Binance and learn through your experience and move to higher leverage only after some experience is gained and don't go for more than 5x leverage per trade even if you're 1000% sure about the move because leverage can be dangerous to your capital if not traded properly.

Welcome on board,
I will advise to know crypto trading in and out because there 4 things which will determine you been a successful trader
1) how to select coin.token
2) knowing the time to enter the market
3) knowing the right time to exit
4) how to prevent losses
But if you think this is much for you, you can use automate trading app and consider the coin you asked aside bitcoin  I believe coin like ETH,Monero, REP,MKR, Dash and Zcash are good for trading.

Welcome.
Wallet is dependant for amount of money you want to keep on it and how to use it.
If store bitcoins longer term use paper wallet, if pay often with bitcoin, use mobile wallet etc.
Keep beign involved with Bitcoin, its one true coin. No time for worse copycats.

Even I have started my crypto journey recently. Before I started trading, first I learnt the basics of trading and how it works? You can refer a few tutorials for cryptocurrency beginners, where you can learn the crypto terminologies, how trading can be done, guides to choose the best exchange for trading and best wallets to store your coins. Once you learn the basics, then you can start trading. I would recommend you to do some research on the exchanges you want to trade and the wallets you want to store your wallets. These are the basic needs of trading.

You can literally trade almost every single decent coin/token in the cryptocurrency markets if you know how to do the trading, which is the difficult part.

If you're really new here and are willing to learn, I don't suggest that you go straight to trading. Read this: https://coindesk.com/information

Before you want to start trading. Better you know a basic of trading and learn about trading.
I have small tips about trading

- Don't panic to choose coin to buy and careful to buy coin
- Always check price of coin that you like to buy or sell.
- Check your history in trading. You can write your history to see profit/loss
- Hold if your coin if that price is dump. If you think your coin no more raise up. Cutloss to reduce your loss.
