I think BTC will hit the $10k in 2 years
I have been having a chat with my Dad about whether it is worth investing in five or ten bitcoins in the hope that their value may go even higher in the next 2 years. Can you guys give a quick opinion about where you see the value of Bitcoins in 2 years from now. Have they reached their peak or is there still a long way up from here? Your opinions would be appreciated.
In my opinion, the greatest returns (and the greatest risks) lie in the altcoin category. For example a $100 investment in Litecoin at the beginning of 2013 is now worth $30,000. There will be other coins in 2014 with similar returns. The question becomes "which ones?"

I think it's safe to say Bitcoin will go higher...or blow up entirely. So while you may not see a big increase anytime soon, it's still worth a shot. The platform is still in it's infancy. Even many IT professionals are only dimly aware of it. The fact that we found this forum means we're part of the 1%!
Personally, I would be glad with even a very modest (~5%) YoY value increase. Right now the community needs stability. Of course I would love to see my investments pay off in a very big way, but I'm trying to keep my head cool.
That said, in my most optimistic expectations, a single BTC will hit $10,000 this year. More than this would be cuckoo-insane and probably be a major disruption of the world economy.

Yes,its never too late,dont invest too much at the begging,start low and if you make profit do higher amounts. good luck

It is not late. It'll be late when you can buy stuff in most highstreet stores. We're at least 6 months away from that and it could take a few years.
If Bitcoin replaced the USD, it would be worth like a million each or more. That's the potential
IMO, more realistically, provided bitcoin is not compromised, we could see BTC at over 5000 USD by next year.
If you haven't used bitcoin before, first buy a small amount and use it to get used to it. Experiment a little first.
Take your own risks, no-one knows the future.

Nobody can know that for sure. It depends if Bitcoin start out to be a success. If they are , then this is just the beginning. But this also requires for people to actually use BTC.
Either way. This is not a late stage as Bitcoin just got out of the shadows and into Mainstream.
As above. Nobody can guarantee you anything with an investment and with any investment there's always risk. However, if Bitcoin keeps growing and gaining more mainstream adoption, then it's very likely that the price will go along with that, but nothing is guaranteed. Only you can choose whether to take the gamble and invest.
