Does Bitcoin's price decrease and increase make the other Altcoin price decrease and increase? When the Bitcoin decreases, the other coins are reduced by the price. While the price of bitcoin increases, most coins increase. What's the reason for this?
Increasing or decreasing Bitcoin negatively affects Altcoin. Bitcoin increased negatively affected. Altcoin prices were pulled down. If Bitcoin goes down, it will also drag down the entire crypto market.

Most of the price from Altcoin drops when the Bitcoin price drops, and as the bitcoin price rises again, Altcoin's price will rise again slowly. It happens because almost everyone who owns Altcoin will sell their coin when Bitcoin price goes down, and will buy again when the bitcoin price goes up again

You are spot on with this observation. When bitcoin prices dropped from $18000 to $7000, all the alt coins went in red. Some even completely collapsed due to such a big crash. I think that people simply associate crypto with bitcoins. When I say to my friends that I am investing money in crypto, they simply assume that I am investing in bitcoins. Many of them do not even know that other alt coins even exist. The reason for bitcoin prices affecting alt coins prices is that most of the alt coins are traded with bitcoins only.

All are controlled by whales in the crypto market. The "whale" is nicknamed the billionaire, and it holds the entire crypto market. They always make the market crypto volatile to attract more people into the crypto market. That fever will forever be done by the whales and I really do not know what their purpose is. They scare me trading and I just do the bounty campaign to secure my fortune.

The rise and fall of bitcoin prices does have an effect on altcoin prices. However, altcoin prices do not necessarily always follow the bitcoin price. It all depends on people's demand for bitcoin and altcoin itself.

Bitcoin is the first and the most successful coin there is in the crypto world, there is no doubt on that. It is the most successful so more often that not, the movement of most of the alt coins are dependent on the movement of the price of Bitcoin. Bitcoin price has a great influence on other alt coins price, that's why when you see a dip on Bitcoin market expect that almost all the alt coins if not all will have a dip too. Bitcoin is indeed the mother of all in the crypto world.

Yes, the price of bitcoin will affect the prices of most other altcoins. As the price of bitcoin rises, so does the price of other altcoins. Bitcoin is the king of all altcoins, and its price has a great influence on altcoins.

This proves that success of altcoins depend on bitcoin, and they will never be able to overcome it.

I mean that couldn't be farther from the truth because during the altcoin ruin up, right before and after the BTC run up. Bitcoin went up maybe 4x at the top of the line, but all of those other altcoins they went up an insane amount some went up 1000x and things along those lines. These other coins went up crazily, a lot more then bitcoin did..

Altcoins fluctuate with bitcoin, but not with the same amount of volatility as altcoins WILL ALWAYS have more volatility.
Agree with you. Altcoins, in my opinion, can always be more volatile due to far less popularity with common public and even less predictability of short/long-term gains from them.
There are too many of altcoins in the market, sometimes it's even hard to grasp the difference between them.

Yes of course Bitcoin's price decrease or increase will affect the others because Bitcoin is the one that represented for the crypto currency market. Decreasing the price means people are losing their trust on Bitcoin and the cryptos. So it means they will withdraw their money in others altcoins too.

BTC is the father of cryptocurrencies fluctuation is common in BTC.early in 2018 fluctuations was at climax, even on 6th Feb-18 BTC went down to $6000 because there were some unfavorable news like regularization, some bank barred customers not to use credit cards for BTC trading, facebook ban crypto ads,so these news induced some king of despair in many investors,as a result of which investment were withdrew from BTC,which declined its cost. However after green signals from South Korea,US Senate Hearing,Japan will also create its own cryptocurrency,Bread wallet Switzerland based crypto exchange, started accepting international BTC purchasing through credit cards, these news made BTC price somewhat stable between $8000-$8700 for last 5-6 days.BTC price affect the whole crypto prices.

At first I used to think that the systems works inverse to one another now I am beginning to believe they work in relation with one another. However, I also believe that relationship is always subject to change, mainly due to whatever the whales are up to.

This is not true, other altcoin prices are not dependent on bitcoin pricing. That all crypto depends on supply and demand, as bitcoin prices drop, but there are some other altcoin price increases, they do not discount by bitcoin. Conversely, when bitcoin increases, some altcoin discount. I think the altcoin price depends on the trust of investors. Bitcoin does not determine the price of other altcoins.

Hi,

You are right, it should not be this way. If you think in terms of offer and demand, the rise of bitcoin should trigger of the decrease of other cryptos.

What I think is that most people change bitcoin for fiat currencies. So most exchanges actually happen between 1 crypto and 1 fiat currency. Therefore, the law of offer and demand does not apply.
