There's nothing wrong with the idea but I do not think it can be implemented now. Creating a 'bitcoin reality show' in a country shows that the government of that country endorses bitcoin as a legal tender. However, as it stands, very very few countries would do that.
Secondly, who would sponsor such project? People only support projects that have the tendency to yield profits. What would investors gain from a show like this?
The only next best thing is for bitcoin to patronized by existing shows and such be advertised by these shows

This actually make sense. Who'll gonna be the sponsor of the show? And each government has different views about bitcoin. This may just create some issues regarding the promotions of digital currencies and may be a cause of confused purpose.

We have seen many bitcoin related movies, interviews of bitcoin enthisiasts but nothing yet about that reality show. If group of people (a bitcoin investors/enthusiasts) will make such variety show, the awareness and adoption we are aiming for will hence be progressed but things are not easy as they shall put some considerations to the government's grant about it.

And we all know what will be the main issue here: Funding. I'm sure whales are not willing, they wanted to remain anonymous and hidden from public eye.

It's probably possible to receive funding from the more "public" whales(e.g. Winklevoss bros, Tim Draper, etc). It's just that while such shows might gain interest in it's first 1 or 2 episodes, I can see the public interest statistic drop down real quick à la BitConnect's price.

Nah, it has been discussed already:

What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?.

Also worth to mentioned this thread as well, [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear and this another mention of bitcoin on primetime TV.

It would be a fool move for a whale who has a lot of bitcoin to spend that money just to pump bitcoin in a very uncertain way. Let bitcoin grow on its own, have you seen bitcoin being televised in 2014? or 2015? yet it the growth is massive.

In terms of price the growth is great, in terms of adoption - not so much. Take BCH or TRON for example, they both have an "owner" that pumps a lot of his money into advertising that coin, and it actually helped them get more recognition. Bitcoin could have benefited from some advertisement to make it more recognizable outside of crypto community.

There are huge holder whales, addresses says that it is a fact. I just think that they aren't interested on such publicity.

Addresses with big balances don't prove anything, they can and usually are owned by exchanges.

It has been suggested many times that someone should promote and advertise Bitcoin, and so far no one actually done it, even the whales aren't interested in that. The only ones who are doing something similar to that are companies like exchange or bookmakers, but they promote their own services and Bitcoin simultaneously.
The very question to this suggestion is who are going to fund that show, given that appearances on television is expensive from the maintenance of the staffs, the hosts, etc. It would be a fool move for a whale who has a lot of bitcoin to spend that money just to pump bitcoin in a very uncertain way. Let bitcoin grow on its own, have you seen bitcoin being televised in 2014? or 2015? yet it the growth is massive.

I think the fact that there's really not much Bitcoin advertising going on might suggest that there aren't any huge whales in Bitcoin, or they try to be very secretive and don't attract attention to themselves.

Bitcoin Should have a reality show just like the  Ellen show, America Idol Talent show The big brother show etc. The show soul aim should be to create a public awareness about the advantages and flexibility of bitcoin to the society and to entertain the viewers with different games, campaigns and quality bitcoin adverts.. a television show in which members of the public or celebrities are filmed living their everyday life’s undertaking specific bitcoin challenges in the show. I strongly believe the show will influence people behavior and will definitely result to a positive impact to the world of Cryptocurrency at large. The correlation between Reality Show and Society behavior is large so therefore information and knowledge about bitcoin can be easily passed. At the end of the show the winner(s) will be credited Huge amount of bitcoin into their wallet. Thanks

The idea is interesting, but you will need to reflect the other side of the coin) Namely when you lose the keys to your wallet and say goodbye to the money) Or when they once again break into a crypto exchange and withdraw millions of dollars from respectable customers. All this can also be encountered on the way for a young bitcoin user)

For me, instead of a reality show with a lot of episodes, I think commercials can attract viewers more because they'll be able to see it even if they are watching a different show.

I also think this can do more than having a full reality show for bitcoin to create awareness. Such is not needed even as no body has indicated interest to organize that. Therefore, running commercials about bitcoin on intervals on a television or radio show about usage and advantage of bitcoin is better. Moreover, there are some football club already having bitcoin logo on the Jersey .

For sure it is a good thing to have bitcoin in a reality show but I'm just not sure how bitcoin is going to be introduced at that point, somehow if it can be executed I think it is a good thing for bitcoin adaptation.

I think documentation type of films is a more effective approach to bitcoin, in my opinion, having a series or episode of it would be interesting and catching to the viewers.

A lot of people are not exposed to technology, but most likely they watch TV, that is why I think it's a good thing not just some online articles or videos. We just need to bring bitcoin to them.

I don't think this will pass even as a concept for a TV series, producers base a concept base on its popularity, entertainment, and a chance to earn. And its kind of weird having bitcoin the center of a TV show. Bitcoin is kind of mysterious for almost all the viewers, I get the point that you are trying to make them familiarize with bitcoin, however, the problem is how can it be accepted by the producers, they don't want to spend their money for something that doesn't give a promise of earning returns. You have to make it entertaining, exciting, and people friendly. What I mean is it should be watch by everyone from all ages.

Well, I think it will pass if you are trying to center bitcoin in just one episode. For example, amazing race, but the only currency allowed to use is bitcoin. Isn't it interesting? People who don't know bitcoin will be interested, same with people who had the idea of bitcoin. It's a chance for bitcoin be fully understand as a currency. That they can really be use even it is still a challenge for now.

TV shows and movies either short clips video are almost the same, this has already done before and the fact there is a thread here compiling all movies that contain Bitcoin or Altcoin in every episode, [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear, this is the thread.

We are already on the masses or even in the mainstream by this media presentation a long time ago but there's always a barrier upon adoption. Our governments that putting a limit on using Bitcoin. The more TV show or videos that have Bitcoin appear as we can see, the faster of spreading the name of cryptocurrency on air or in Bitcoin itself.

I don't know..For people to keep watching a show, it should be entertaining, and I don't know how you will make bitcoin entertaining since discussing it requires some technical terms. And if it will show bitcoin's advantages and uses, I think it would be more a documentary type of film than a reality show.

For me, instead of a reality show with a lot of episodes, I think commercials can attract viewers more because they'll be able to see it even if they are watching a different show.

If there was a reality show niche that would make the masses easily uninterested, then this is the answer. Because why would the masses be interested in "bitcoin challenges"? Such niches would only work for specific audiences: like bitcoin/crypto-related YouTube channels and such.

Create reality show about Bitcoin is much complicated, especially if you don't have any sponsors. IMO it's better for looking alternative option like meetup, seminar, podcast, etc. Create non-profit team with some bitcoin enthusiast (but they must have good understanding about Bitcoin) and start make a project to create public awareness. If it's successful, you can start open donation to create more larger project.

Reality show for bitcoin, the idea isn't bad but complicated. First of all, for bitcoin reality show the country should support bitcoin where you are going to arrange reality shows. The second thing you need a sponsor for that which is quite complicated to arrange since its decentralized. Finally need someone who needs to manage everything, it's the most important part. Who will take this all step? Bitcoin isn't any central organization, so no one will funding the program. I know it would help bitcoin adaption, but it would happen only by like YouTube. Perhaps someone from the community would create some reality to and discuss about bitcoin. Broadcasting on Television or another similar source will not easy.

I like your idea but since when did a crypto currency ever had a show or even fiat? You know someone can make it happen if they're willing to fund it but of course, those who wants to fund it needs to be sure that they could get a profit from it. Just think about those free seminar for Bitcoin and imagine what they have been through just to make it happen. I don't think they ever get something from the people since not everyone is interested in crypto currency. So I don't think this idea is enough for someone to buy it.

Would you willing to fund it?
If it is a yes then I'd be willing to be the host.

You know,.. that is the problem.
There is a lot of offers but no one is willing to fund it,
You can suggest anything you like. But, who will invest in it? I am not saying we are selfish but that is because bitcoin is not a company with employees in it.

Bitcoin is more than just something which you could easily talk about in a reality show, which is more like a showbiz kind of thing rather than a serious discussion. It may help if Bitcoin is mentioned or discussed in a reality show but it surely is not that entertaining. Viewers might not find it worth watching if it is Bitcoin that has become the center of everything.

I think Bitcoin deserves a much better platform also, away from celebrities and showbiz personalities. Most of them are not equipped to even talk about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a more serious discussion.

I'm not sure how much of an appeal a show like this could have. Probably not enough to have a larger mass of audience, so not enough to have success.

The only shows I can think of that could be adapted to BTC are general knowledge quizzes or so. These are things the general audience knows or is interested about, while a BTC knowledge quiz/show would only be seen by tech geeks and people interested in BTC.

Moreover, I don't think there's that much information you can place inside a show about BTC - and the show should push only true facts. There's some basic stuff you need to learn after which things get easy and then, most remaining info is quite technical or boring for the average person. The idea itself doesn't sound bad, but it's hard to create something appealing.
