yeah they use bitcoin as payment method cause they didt need to use their real name still anonymous
Organ donors be poor people who are far from digital technology and I doubt very much that they are willing to sell their bodies for currency which is not take up. This is only possible if the mediators will be to convert bitcoin to another currency.

The only black market organ trafficking is happening on the ground in active warzones (which I wont say....but hint hint - 1973 should be a clue)

There will be no black market for organs, if the government legalizes organ trade. What is wrong, if some poor guy is able to sell his kidney for $100,000 at a government run hospital? If he goes to the back market, he will get just $5,000 or $10,000, with the rest eaten up by the middlemen.
I think that you can not resolve a market in organs from living donors. A young man who needs money can sell their kidneys, but then he's more likely to die from kidney failure. Why do it? The donation must only be from the dead.

There is hardly any risk for living donors from kidney donation. 12-month mortality rate for kidney donors range from a minimum of 0.03% to a maximum of 2.6% (depending on the researcher). So what will you chose? A 99% risk of starving to death, or a 0.03% risk of dying from kidney donation?

I think in General is very bad when a person sells their organs. I think this is wrong. In the human body no unnecessary details. I think genetics needs to grow organs artificially.

Anyone heard of organs being purchased on the black market with bitcoin?

Selling organs is illegal - which is so stupid, by the way - so it stands to reason that bitcoin would be a convenient way to facilitate those transactions. Anyone heard of this? I don't frequent the dark web much so I'm not sure how much it comes up.

This is the first time i actually heard about this but come to think of it, its a real possibility considering bitcoin's anonymity. A lot of illegal transactions are going to be done a lot easier uaing bitcoin same as how normal transactions would be easier done as well. It's sad though that instead of using bitcoin"s benefits for good, some people take advantage of it to do horrible things

Interesting, I never heard of that either. But I think pretty much everything illegal is done with Bitcoins, just take a look at these large darkweb markets..
It might be used for organ purchasing inlands but people from third world countries won't accept BTC that easy.

First time for me to hear this. I think this will not be a norm because the people who exchange their organs wants to get some quick money.
I think they will transact on fiat only and not bitcoin.

This is the first time i am hearing this idea. Tongue If the buyer and seller agrees to transfer funds using bitcoin why not.You can trade anything you want if you have anyone willing to accept bitcoin as the mode of payment then anything is possible be it drugs ,organ or even prositution.

Seems like too much of a hassle to have to use bitcoins to facilitate transactions that could be done easily in cash, without any trace being present. With bitcoin, you're going to have to cover your tracks in many ways and probably incur fees if you're going to be mixing coins.

I also wouldn't think selling organs being illegal is dumb, I would call it dumb to not allow the ones you can live without to not be sold but most of your organs you need so if you'd be selling them you'd be directly causing death when removing them. Easily shows why there are laws regarding the issue. But I don't think bitcoin holds much weight when it comes to the black market relating to organ trading / selling

It might happen,i think almost all other illegal things are done by bitcoin as a payment method.its annonymity has because a huge drawback for its state.

Bitcoin IS NOT ANONYMOUS. Fiat currencies are. Bitcoin can be used to track your every purchase ever made. Its all there on the blockchain for all eternity.

I will not believed this news as there are a lot of propagation to demonized it. Bitcoin is money and we have to know that money is a medium of exchange for goods and services. Bitcoin like dollar, pound can be used to buy anything as far as there is a mutual agreement between the two parties. Dollar can be also used to buy human organs' and it has been used to buy it by evil people before.

No i never heard of organs being purchased on the black market with bitcoin.
It is done underground with a middleman, usually in poor countries. and it
a very lucrative business. Due to high demand, illegal brokers prey on poor
people who are forced to sell their kidneys and other organs for fast cash.
Some just want to get easy money, while other due to financial trouble
like paying some debt.

Poor people don't know about bitcoin and I think they will only conduct
business with fiat only.

Nobody uses bitcoin for that stuff. They fly to china, india or similar and just buy organs for fiat.

People their sell their organs for less then 10k $.
Last time i watched a docu about india they said the average price of a kidney is around 25k $ and the donor gets less then 10k $.

i guess it makes some sort of sense on the surface, but when you think about it it probably doesn't. you're gonna be buying from people in third world countries where there'll be no way to offload bitcoin anyway. they'll stick to good old western union or piles of cash.

some guy who's just made a hole in himself to feed his family won't be too impressed to receive a paper wallet in return.

Wow! This is the first time I am hearing about this. I never looked into such a possibility. Even if someone uses BTC for black market organ donation, how is he going to make sure that the payment will be honored? Is he going to use an escrow? Also, how is the person going to convert this huge pile of BTCs to fiat?
