Hello all,

Its gaston909 here. THE ORIGINAL gaston909. The guy who got ripped off by TF  and left the bitcointalk forum in a huff vowing never to get scamed again.

Well, it seems since I left (many years back) someone has been posting under my old username gaston909

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/gaston909-86471

Can see his scam posts here - also whatever he is supporting / has supported may well be a scam too, e.g. that 777casino he is promoting.

No plans to use bitcointalk just doing my duty as worried he will scam someone. I want the account to be locked or shut down ideally but i guess the admins are busy.

Contact the one who left it (shorena) about it.
It would be best to sign once again a message, just to be sure.

Hello Lutpin, you're right, I was thinking about that too, here we go :

Code:

Hello from the owner of "onepix" bitcointalk account.
By signed with the same private key as "onepix1" I prove that I'm the same person.
I also put my btc address here even if I'll "stake it" into the appropriate topic

I successfully retrieve my account ... that was not expected but "fair" at least  Cheesy
What should I do to protect my account ?
Just stake a btc adress into the appropriate topic ?

Yes, stake an address and make sure you can sign a message with the staked (bitcoin!) address. Have a strong password, dont use the security question, use a mail address that you can access and have a strong password for the mail address as well.

Bitcoin address this time for sure haha  Grin

I bought this account for the cheap without a signed message, I should of known it was stolen
I am willing to give the account back
I havent been on this account so i didnt notice this thread, Shorena or any trusted member can pm me and I will send them the new password

Cant you transfer the account directly? I can hold the account, but I dont see a reason why I should. Unless you are asking for a (partial) refund here.

Yes, indeed I mean this link.

My account onepix is hacked and don't have any control on it.
Hacker started to use my account on January 23, 2016, 03:28:31 AM.
I had control on my account before this date and I posted my DigiByte public key on January 16, 2014, 04:50:48 PM.
I never edited the post, the topic is locked and you can find it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412585.msg4548268#msg4548268.

I don't find an online signed message verifier too, which mean basically that someone who want to verify it need to do it via DigiByte Wallet here http://www.digibyte.co/choose_wallet

forgot to mention this (my bad), but you need someone trusted to verify that message. seeing that digibite doesn't have any online signed message verifier.

btw the link you provided took me to a post by shorena with no address whatsoever. I think you mean this > https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4548268

Ok, I think it's becoming more clearer.  Smiley
If I may ask you few more things, should I create a post to only ask DT members to tag the account as hacked in Meta sub-forum ?
Should I ask theymos right now after doing the sign part ?
Should I sign with every Altcoin key I can (as DigiByte) or it's useless, one is enough ?

DT users should act once they see the signed message in the hack claim thread (here).

I don't quite understand the second question. just PM theymos using the format that botany linked. doesn't matter if you post the signed message here first or not.

one should be enough as long as it's not from some buggy coin (again there's no guarantee that you'll get your account back).

Big thanks to people who try to help me in this post.
Special one to --Encrypted-- who guide me very well and answer all my questions.
As already explain, my account "onepix" is hacked.
By the signature below I hope to convince DT users to tag "onepix" account as hacked.

It had to be only BTC address ?
Because I post many other Altcoin adress to get some coins via GIVEAWAY, it's the same thing isn't it ?
...
It could be enough in your opinion ?

well some DT members may tag the account as hacked.
but I don't know if that's enough to get you your account back. that's up to theymos.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what a staked address / message is... could you explain a little bit please Lips sealed ?

staked address = bitcoin address that you've posted in the forum.

signing a message (how to) from an address posted long ago will prove that you're the owner. but I just went through your post history and I didn't find any bitcoin address that was posted before January.

edit:

I have an email from this forum which tell me "You have just been sent a personal message by X on Bitcoin Forum." with the content of the private message.
Given that it's a private message, that mean only the owner of the account can have the access.
Could it be enough to claim that I'm the owner ?

you can request a password reset via email from here (make sure you don't tick the "ask me my question"). a password reset link will be sent to the email of that account.
of course this will only works if that account still uses the same email.

Finally I get it now, thank you for these informations !
It had to be only BTC address ?
Because I post many other Altcoin adress to get some coins via GIVEAWAY, it's the same thing isn't it ?
I check and for instance, I post my DigiByte public adress https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4548268
I open the wallet associated, I see a little amount received by the giveaway and the same public key so I still have the Priv key associate.
Plus I can "sign a message" as explain the post you share.
It could be enough in your opinion ?

About the password request, the field says "Username/Email"
So I put the email it says
Quote
An Error Has Occurred!
That username does not exist.
and when I put the login "onepix" which is the account I'm looking for it says :
Quote
Bitcoin Forum Password Reminder
A mail has been sent to your email address. Click the link in that mail to set a new password.
But no email in mail spam or something. The "hacker" has probably change the email.

How can I retrieve my account given that he change my email ?
That's really disturbing and I want to get back on track into this forum, with my account.

Read this thread, to find out how to recover your account.
I warn you, even if you find a staked address and sign a message, it isn't an easy/quick process.  Smiley

I was currently reading at it ! Huum, I'm warned  Cheesy

Do you have access to the email address that was once linked in it? Your email that you used before? Also you will need to have a signed message from an address that you have staked before when it was still in your possession. In most cases that you don't hae either or you can't prove it any way that it is you who owns the account, it will more likely not be given back to you. Your only option is to report that the account is no longer yours and admin can lock or eiter ban the account to prevent others from accessing it.

Yes, I still use the email !

Or
Also, I have post into french sub-forum (obviously I'm fench) long time ago.
Can I ask to compare ip adress from this time to the one I currently use to send this message ?

Anyway, thank you both for information, for sure if I can't retrieve my account back I'll report him.

Hello everyone,

Since a almost a year I stopped "Bitcoin Altcoin activity" to focus into my study.
In other word I don't login here very much since a year.
It's not the first time I try to reconnect with my account but It's finally today that I realise that someone use my identity, account.

Currently, the account "onepix" isn't use by its creator who is me https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/onepix-160153

If you take a look here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/onepix-160153;sa=showPosts;start=20
Or juste https://i.imgur.com/r3amwoI.jpg

You will see my last message on: June 04, 2014, 08:50:16 PM and the next one is on: January 23, 2016, 03:28:31 AM.
So every post from January 23 are not from me.
Look this one : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13654603
Seems like the man knows what he is talking about, how more ironic that could be  Angry

I received like you an email from this forum "Bitcoin Forum: Password change required" on 24/05/2015.
Given that I don't remember if I had change my password (but I think I did), perhaps its explain how my account was steal, if it's that.

How can I retrieve my account given that he change my email ?
That's really disturbing and I want to get back on track into this forum, with my account.

Best !
