Am new to bitcointalk for some time now and I have been searching for the rules so I don't know where to see it, please I need rule and guideline as a newbie
Welcome to this wonderful forum, Mate. One thing is for sure, you will never regret having yourself here. That means if you participate in on what brought you here, you will find your journey very easy. And about the rules mentioned earlier, I can direct you to go to the biginners and help board. where you can see a thread that they pin, try as much as possible, and open the thread you will see the rules and guidelines that where given by some of the forum members here. And if you take your time and go through the thread well, you will know how to make your move gradually without any issues.

However, if you are unable to reach the location I sent you to, I would want to provide you with a link that also discusses all of the forum's rules and regulations. It would be extremely beneficial if you could carve out time from your hectic routine. Here's the link.

Thanks to all, I have seen the rules i never knew it was so easy
to get it, and I have never enter some places in bitcointalk that why I want to know the rules so that I won't make mistake, so thanks guys.

I hope you got an answer to your question. Therefore, I recommend locking your topic to avoid further repetition of the same thing in users' posts. If you have more questions on this topic, you can always open a topic and ask your question on the theme.
Just needed clarification. If OP locks this topic and later run into confusion and wants to ask questions related to the thread he already locked. Will it be wise to create a new thread because the first thread was locked, or he will simply unlock the present thread and bump it with his question? I asked because you are a staff, and I don't seem to clearly understand the bolded part of your post.

I am not even sure that OP will come back to read these answers given him.
That's often the modus operandi of this set of users. They open threads and disappear without engaging in them.
Surprisingly, Op returned to read the answers.

You've been active on the forum for 2 months and still haven't found the rules pinned on meta?

Is it surprising bro? I don't think so. Registration date should not be a matter. He probably signed up two months ago but wasn't active enough to know more about this forum. Or probably he didn't explore the global boards. Every person has some specific interest. There could be some members who sign up to do bounty campaigns, others who sign up just for technical discussion, and some others who may only be interested in local boards. It's not surprising at all. I guess a lot of us found the forum rules after a long period of our registration.

Don't play with this link to know the rules that governed the Bitcointalk forum,  if you want to stay long on this forum to enjoy the benefits other users are enjoying since this forum was created, because any rule you disobey in this forum has is own punishment that attached to it, and there are some rules you will commit that will result to ban from the forum. Anytime you want to ask questions, you can ask the question here, because there are some people you will ask private question and they will respond to you in away it will destroy your account in the future when you follow the person advice.

Welcome to bitcoin talk, is very important to read the rules of the forum so that you can know what is right or wrong here, majority of the members who run into problems along the line here in the forum are those who failed to read and understand forum rules and regulations so you are on the right track by asking for forum rule.
Just read the 3rd pin thread on this board, by Lauda, in that thread you will find a handful of information as regards to forum rules and much more explanation that will help you to become a valuable member of the forum in the future.

And some users where introduce to this forum by others and those same users may have gotten oriented by those that introduced them to the forum given them some tips how the forum works.
The forum has all kind of members, the spammers, scammers, copy pasters and the regular, honest users. When a new user is introduced to the forum by a spammer, they get taught to approach the forum as such, same with a copy paster, and that approach follow them up in the forum untill they can consume enough quality information to unlearn and then relearn.
that's right. And for such individuals to unlearn (habits of shit posting and all that)  and to relearn (becoming a good poster) would take alot of learning and consistency. Inorder for one to accomplish such remarkable changes, From shit poster to becoming a quality poster. In accomplishing such one got to be active and keep learning from others users, through their threads or replies and understanding the forum and bitcoin too. Like me it took me along time before realising all this, that doesn't matters how often you post but how contributing and quality that post is.

The easiest way to quickly understand forum rules is read the posts pinned to each board and subboard. That's how I learned here when I was a beginner and it worked well for me, so you can try it. Don't forget to also read the link provided in each pinned post. Goodluck guys  Wink
Absolutely. The quickest way to get a hang of the forum is to read. You may read the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ and it may be difficult to understand at first, read it over again. One other means of getting a hang of it is to be frequent in the  Beginners & Help and meta board. Things are more easy when you read the replies of other members who have been here long enough.

The rules are always there in every board, that is to say before you post in any particular subforum or childboard you will always find their rules pinned on the topic of it the best for you is just to click and open to read them otherwise posting without reading those rules might either leads you violating the rules. Then again this section is the best for you since whatever thing you need to know are mostly discussed over here in the beginner & Help section. Before I forget you welcomed here!

Hmm, thanks for this wonderful compilation bro, you've contributed much to this thread by providing so many references to the topics, keep it up, buddy At the same time every newbie should understand that just making posts and topics is not gonna reward you with merits getting involved in the forum hot topic discussions, that will help you to grow your account on the forum.

I would say you should keep posting your ideas and here the seniors can guide you on time if you break any rules but keep in mind that AI and plagiarism are prohibited and there's no 2nd chance for any user on the violation of these rules, because forum is to serve the natural and organic information among the users. No just lengthy descriptive articles on different topics which nobody reads.

What type of rules are you seeking, forum rules? there are no official forum rules in a single place but they are scattered all over the forum in different topics, but I do have one good topic for you that will help you to kickstart your journey on this forum under the obligations of the forum rules.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.25841174

Besides the forum rules, I suggest you should read the iconic history of this forum as well, once you will read it, you won't break up with this loving forum, do you know Satoshi has an account here and he was active, this forum has played an important role in the journey of BTC.

You've been active on the forum for 2 months and still haven't found the rules pinned on meta?
You were too lazy because you even don't want to use Search to find answers for your question.
Ignorance is fine around here, so also is asking apparently dumb questions. Talking down on newer members for asking things that seems easily solvable to older users would only discourage more newbies from asking.

The forum is not easily navigable to someone that has not used the forum style before and it's easy to spend time on one section you understand and avoid the others which seem complex.
yeah this actually right. I'm pretty sure alot of newbies are  inactive due to the complexity of the forum at first, So we should not discourage those that are wanting to learn with our response. And some users where introduce to this forum by others and those same users may have gotten oriented by those that introduced them to the forum given them some tips how the forum works. While some are trying to be self taught so it won't be easy for them to navigate the forum, so it may lead the asking questions like this and we should play our role to help with answering them in the possible way we can.

And (op) try and to always be active, learning from other users and also make the searching with the search icon in this forum to be an habits in other to get some certain answers to that issue you may be facing at that time, issue like this you just posted here. And also do so in going through those  links posted in this thread by others.

OP, if you can mispel what ought to have been the most critical part you should've paid attention to – Your topic title, "Re: Bitcointalk rules and gudie for newbies", it says much about your lack of desire to pay attention to things and scrutinize what's on ground. Even if you aren't a native speaker of the language, nothing says it's a crime checking out spellings.

Did you spend some seconds to look at it before creating this topic and after making about 30 posts in the forum?
Still better he asked, some would play ignorance until they are eventually banned. Being late doesn't really hurt more than being a victim. Again, Op might also not know how to use the search function of the forum. Most times that I assume that people know how to use every forum or website, I was wrong. You will be surprised to see someone who finds it even difficult to scroll the mouse. The world is fast developed, but many are behind. That is the reason we need to be dynamic in order to accommodate every kind of people we meet online.

I am not even sure that OP will come back to read these answers given him.

First of all, I welcome you to the forum and I hope you will make good and quality posts here on bitcointalk and if you do this your effort will be appreciated here on the forum by your senior members. I would advise you never copy past here on the forum or by any chance if it is important for you so never forget to add a source link because if you do not do it you may get banned or get the red tag for this activity.

I kind of wondered how OP were able to find the beginners & help board and created this thread but couldn't find the very pinned post that says, “Newbies read before positing ” well I tag it as an oversight by the op, reading is one thing that is essential when it comes to this forum, most of the information that some newbies look up for are within their reach but the problem being that some don't even spend time in reading and patrolling the forum.

In addition to the links provided to you from above comments, i will make a suggestion that you thoroughly go through them and take note of the one that goes against plagiarism, i noticed most newbies fall under this same mistake, secondly, try and read up on the pinned threads on each board, they are mostly the ones everyone will want to go through in other to have an idea on either the board or the forum, lastly, make use of the forum search engine and get more information's on discussions already made on different boards as you may want to channel your search through.

You are just right about this. But not all pinned messages for beginners, but most especially the ones on beginners & help and meta boards. These two boards pinned threads should be read by newbies to understand about this forum. That is where the rules of the forum is and also there is where threads about about merits and activities and badges are. I can not agree more.

Welcome to the forum. And I wish you will really enjoy here.
You have been searching for the rules and unable to see any, I am sorry about that. But then, how and where do you search for these rules? Do you click thread by thread searching for these rules? I ask because if you do the right thing in less than 5 mins you can see anything you are searching for in this forum. Hatchy has provided you the link to the unofficial rules, it is advisable to study them well m incase you would want to search for anything subsequently, just click the search icon on the menu bar. You can preferably use the Google extended search to look up for anything in the forum. Also use that function when you want to create a new topic such that you will not create something repetitive.
