No. It's not available.

And adding it already has been discussed many times. It never resulted in anything.
I was hoping that ot has since there are huge complain about account being hacked by someone or being locked. The admin will have difficulty to retrieve this because of ownership problem where many of the users could claim the account especially if it has not created a sigbed message. Besides, the admin has working on the feature that one could recover the hacked accounts through it. So, wishing that the tool for recoverinh hacks account will be done.

Bitcoin doesn’t use 2FA. I don’t see why the forum would need to.

Bitcoins aren't simply accessed using a publicly known account name and a (probably less than 10 character long) password.

Sure, for people with a very good memory or user who use a password manager, that's not a problem at all.

But the majority does probably have a relatively(!) weak password, i believe.
A 2FA (a simple mail would be enough) wouldn't hurt and should be relatively easy to implement, IMO.

Why you are not searching your question in search box? Before starting a whole new thread check whether your question has being answered before or not this will prevent duplication. Your question had being answered several times before as in the following links.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by stating that “many scammers pretend to be hacked while they scam others” ?

2FA (or equivalent) is really a long overdue feature here, being the current software apparently not a great platform for its implementation, and the new forum software a long lasting project, of which we do not have a public roadmap to implementation and it’s current status.

Account recovery on his forum has little chances of success (I’ve only read about a few cases over the past months – see [Guide] Bitcointalk account security), so it is really a pressing matter – that or a speedy account recovery procedure.

Its very essential for bitcointalk forum but sadly its not available yet . It could stop many scammers using hacked account to scam others , Many scammer pretend to be hacked while they scam others . I hope it gets implemented in future but for now there is none .
It's currently not available on bitcoin talk forum. But from my personal view I really feel it should because bitcoin talk account is fast becoming a target of hackers and need to be secured essentially. I guess the forum heads might look into it
I opened a new thread 8-9 months ago but admin said to me that they will add it in the new forum but it seems that no one will do that . It is a very important secure feature but I dont know why they avoid it

Hopefully they would implement this feature soon in the future.

At this time your account protection and security is solely your responsibility. And you have to keep your personal information private.
Aside the massive hack of 2015 the forum is yet to suffer from major cyber attacks.
You can also stake you Bitcoin address to retrieve your account if you lose access.
Although, note that's it's a very protracted process.

If  you are really coning to be concerned for the safety of your Bitcointalk account from the get-go, and there being no 2FA feature on this forum, I’d suggest you read through @sncc’s [Guide] Bitcointalk account security. It’s a rather complete guide, and it covers all the features you need to consider. Bear in mind that if you grow your account, and should it become compromised, gaining access back to the account has only been managed on a few isolated cases as of late, and is a very slow process anyway right now.

Thank you for answering my query. I'll just Smiley take your advice and suggestions.  Smiley

Does bitcointalk.org doesn't really have a 2FA option on account settings ?

Pardon me for asking this. I'm a new member here.
Thanks!
