dogs are cute.
Let's try and answer them in a future video, we're going to be having fun whatever the answers  Cheesy
It would be great if Cyrus can hire "Akrobeto" or anyone that's great at messing up pronunciations, for that segment Cheesy

Just type the username/s below and optionally add how you think they should be pronounced, bonus points if you record yourself!
It could be your own Bitcointalk username as well as other usernames.
Usernames = How I think* they should be pronounced [I apologize in advance] Grin
* = Not the correct way

  • LoyceV = Loy-se-Vu [French accent]
  • pooya87 = Pooh-yeahhhh-ate-seven [Southern accent]
  • achow101 = Achoo-one-owww-one [cute accent]
  • mocacinno = Mocha!-seen!-NOOooooo [Japanese accent]
  • SFR10 = Es-Ef-Rawr (meow) [sexy accent]

I can assure you that the Merit Cycling Club has members who are both male and female; there is no truth to the rumour that I am "female only".
I will say more, rumors that this club exists are just rumors.  Roll Eyes

  • NotATether = Not-A-Tether [No accent at all, or if you are the kind of guy who just hates pronouncing stuff without an accent, borrow the Terminator's voice]

There, made it really simple for you Smiley

Some people pronounce it Not-at-ether which I find a bit crazy (and obnoxious at times).

mocacinno = Mocha!-seen!-NOOooooo [Japanese accent]

I had never tought about it that way, but this pronunciation makes sense... From now on, that's how i'm going to call myself (if asked) Smiley

pooya87 = Pooh-yeahhhh-ate-seven [Southern accent]

WTF, poo-yeah? It's instant, ya! But, to avoid any misunderstandings, I address to the expert to tell us what do poo and ya stand for.  Lips sealed

Ahh, the butchery of my name...

I thought it was well known my name came from a random name generator.
For no reason I always thought it had something to do with Dark Souls 2 and those weird ass [Loyce] knights in a place called Eleum Loyce.

Now I see the bigger picture and conspiracy behind Foxpup merit cycling.
It's one big girl power movement, so I am suspecting that all members could be females only or wannabes.
Prove me wrong.

Thanks, that is one plot twist.
Your forum last name Valenzuela is exactly the same like first class city in Philippines, that must have some deeper meaning.

Justified. Honestly, “Marcel”, a fox cycling with LoyceV as a username? Fun fact: When I was still a newbie I thought he was a female. That's the beauty of pseudonymity.

Have you tried listening to it in Portuguese and Arabic? Cheesy

Not bad at all Grin I was expecting something really disjointed...
In Portuguese it sounds like "Bi*ch bollo" ... Arabic version sounds like "Bitta-bollo"

The "bollo" part of my username sounds always in the same manner Wink in all languages

That's a good one [assuming that someone is going to pronounce it with a Cholo accent] Wink

Why French? I'm not sure how to type phonetics in English, but I'd say it's "Loy-se-Ve".
You're right, but the blend on its last part felt good; hence why I went with a French-style...

Or just call me Marcel.
Hey Marcel Tongue Wink

Now don't start thinking Marcel is my real name Cheesy
I'm confused! Can I call you Marcellus instead [it's more macho (music to my ears)]? Grin

(ok not really perfect in Bulgarian or Nepalese but this is a good starting point)!

Farewell, Leo
I thought it was well known my name came from a random name generator.
Wow, you're the first person I know who uses a random name generator. Could you PM me the generator you used?  Tongue

Do explain
C'mon, “Loyce Vee” is the name of a cartoon character the most. Marcel is prestigious.

Who's Crack?
We are. We are all Crack Wright Wink

so maybe I have to start addressing LoyceV as she from now on.

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
I think my username is quite easy to pronounce, nevertheless, I have an official pronunciation tutorial.
I know you are Italian, but for some reason, my inside voice was always pronouncing your name as fillip + one. Like one fillip. Does 'fillippone' mean little fillip, just like 'principino' means little prince?

I have always been fond of the way Italians create simple nicknames. In Gomorrah, you will hear Genny, Genna or don Genna for Gennaro. Or my favorite Patri or donna Patri for Patricia. Ciru for Ciro even tough it's almost the same.

o_e_l_e_o = o-ee-lee-o [Just like we pronounce Leo]
No, no, you don't pronounce that. You just copy and paste it from one of his posts if you need it. Grin

I can neither confirm nor deny that my name either is or is not Leo.
I can say with absolute certainty that your name is Leo or it isn't. It's 100% one or the other.

Do you think others are pronouncing your username as you intended?

since I was curious how it sound my username in several languages... yes... definitely no surprise: it is corrected spelled/has always the same sound in any language I have heard/tried.
I made a test with google https://translate.google.it/?sl=it&tl=en&text=bitbollo&op=translate and it sound more or less correctly in any language (ok not really perfect in Bulgarian or Nepalese but this is a good starting point)!
It's funny (at least to me) that in any language you want to curse me ... it will always sound the same Grin

Your real name is not Loyce?
I thought it was well known my name came from a random name generator.

(which makes sense now that I rethought of it).
Do explain Cheesy

Loyce is obviously a female name
By the time I figured that out, "LoyceV" had grown on me as a name. I never expected I'd still be using it almost 7 years later!

I think that someone mentioned before that V is the first letter of a very long last name.

And there's a place by that name. Spooky coincidence or terrible irony for his privacy emphasis?  Tongue
My fiendish plan to obscure my location has been compromised! I'll be requesting theymos change my name to b_a_r_c_o_e_l_e_o_n_a. That should keep people guessing.

But yeah, the second episode pronounced it properly: Oh-Leo. Or just Leo. Which is or is not my name.

LoyceV =  Loys Ve or Louise Ve

Loyce is obviously a female name, so maybe I have to start addressing LoyceV as she from now on.
I don't see a problem with that if people can still claim Lauda was a female, and I think that someone mentioned before that V is the first letter of a very long last name.
