So, erm, I'm having further troubles.  The AJAX popup appears now, as opposed to the situation I described in my last post, but the "downloading" status page never changes now.  The fields are blank for "File size" and all the way down the page, for a very well seeded torrent.

It seems like earlier, the bitcoind.exe server was screwed up, which you then fixed, but now the Torrent download service itself is a bit screwed up.  It's not a big deal at the moment for me, but it might be for other customers.

Regardless, glad to hear you're still alive.  And good for you for taking the Macbook repair into your own hands when you thought you were about to be ripped off.  Sometimes it's best to trust your intuition or get a second opinion at least.

Just wanted to list myself as a satisfied customer. Everything worked quickly and without a hitch. Wouldn't have been possible without bitcoin. Thanks for the great service.

This is nice to hear, greg.

I've been a user and shareholder of bitcointorrentz pretty much from the start.
One tends to forget how awesome something is once it has become part of ones routine. bitcointorrentz is one of the 3 services I actually use bitcoin to pay for regularly.

other two?

one you'll have to guess and the other one is a VPS I pay for monthly

Investor ROI: 3.37%

How is this calculated? Using a share price of 0.68 BTC (lowest ask), I arrive at 11%/year

Hey molecular. That is the lowest ask in the secondary market. The price I originally offered the shares for was 0.2 btc/share, so I am basing my investor ROI on the shares bought from me at this price at the IPO.

Ah, I see, this is the monthly ROI. I understand.

The key growth figures still look good though. 25 new users, the number of downloads has increased by 10% compared with last month and bandwidth usage by 19.75%.

Damnit, I was hoping you'd be "offline" for longer so some people would sell and I could snatch up more shares Wink.

It's good to see the healthy growth.

My apologies for missing this months dividend payment on the 16th. This was due to unforeseen technical errors. Cheesy

I will be making this month's dividend payment as soon as the GLBSE deposit is confirmed. The period is from 16th Dec up to and including today, Jan 24th. Next month's dividend payment will be Feb 24th, and so on for future months.

Monthly Earnings: 6.7440812 btc
Dividend/Share: 0.006744081 btc
Investor ROI: 3.37%
Total ROI for IPO investors: 38.27%

New Users: 25
Monthly Downloads: 351
Total Bandwidth: 767 GB

The earnings figures are down this month compared with last due to the huge increase in the btc:usd exchange rate, and the resultant price reduction I offered. A likely reason for reduced earnings figures also is the fact that the spike in the previous months was caused by the bandwidth-purchase system and some existing users are using pre-purchased bandwidth rather than paying for downloads ad-hoc. The key growth figures still look good though. 25 new users, the number of downloads has increased by 10% compared with last month and bandwidth usage by 19.75%.

Hi Guys,

My sincere apologies for not being around lately. I started a new job on the 9th of jan, and I'm still learning the ropes. It's a pretty daunting job that requires a LOT of my time. So I won't be as active around here in the future as I was. Please feel free to drop me a PM any time however. And the site pretty much runs on autopilot.

The major reason I haven't been around though is because I have been without internet access at home for almost 2 weeks now. I spilled about 1/2 a pint of water over my macbook last week (my only machine right now) and it wouldn't power on or charge, no signs of life whatsoever. Finally got a chance to take it to the repair place yesterday, and after they looked at it and said the logic board was corroded and would need to be replaced. In total about €900 to have it repaired, almost as much as the bloody thing cost.

Needless to say, I didn't pay, and took it back home. I'm not the kind of person to just take no for an answer though, so I intended to clean off the corroded sections as best I could, and take it to another apple repair place to see if I could get them to overlook the true cause of the problem and repair it under warranty. Wink

So I popped the hood, roughly cleaned away the affected areas thinking it was already done for. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected though, just a few specks of greenish discoloration in a few places on the motherboard. So, I tinkered around a bit with it, and when I put the case back on, I was absolutely gobsmacked when I pressed the power button and it sprang back immediately into life. It even restored my session from last week. Heh!

Needless to say, I have just finished composing an extremely pompous email to the technician that 'diagnosed' my machine. After I had finished transferring a significant fraction of my bitcoin stash to another location, of course! That was a close one. Waaay too close. Take heed from my near-miss people. Make sure your main machine doesn't get water spilled over it, ever... or make sure you back up your wallets properly!

Anywho, I'm back now. Intermittently at least. Cheesy

I'm having trouble getting to the downloading portion.  I copy+pasted the .torrent URL, and it went on to the next page with the BTC cost.  Upon clicking the "Download Torrent" button however, I either get an invisible window with a visible X button (in Firefox) or a "The website cannot display the page" popup in IE9.  Is something screwed up with the server temporarily?

minor nitpick about bundle prices:

the cost per GB is the same with every bundle:

GB / BTC / BTC per GB
10   0,25   0,025
20   0,5   0,025
35   0,875   0,025
50   1,25   0,025

i dunno if you would want to add a little incentive to buy bigger packages`
something along the lines of

GB / BTC / BTC per GB
10   0,25   0,025
20   0,45   0,023
30   0,66   0,022
50   1,00   0,020
75   1,35   0,018

just sayin'.

I would think that "leftover" BTC from unused traffic would be part of your profit?
