I would not be so quick he needs to explain things. As well as answer any question that may arise. i have a feeling he will chose not to though.
I think you are quite incorrect and are simply searching for the next Bitcoin drama. Alex used to be very involved with Bitcoin whhen I was before my hiatus, and I trust him completely. I was very surprised to see this site listed as a scam and am glad he sent you that PM.

Alex always took time to respond to any questions and addressed all concerns in the past. I doubt now will be any different.

What he said in his PM makes sense, I'm not really sure what other sort of explanation you are waiting for.

John

Thanks John. I suppose the problem is that traveling is a lot more fun than coming back to this forum to be interrogated. I came back, check that my sites were working properly and paid out those who had issues, but still I get grief from the likes of stoppots.

I'm also not sure what else he expects me to say. I looked briefly at post #13 but don't really see any questions.

Anyway, take it or leave it. I don't care either way anymore.

Think its pretty obvious wat was/is going on here. Once another poster brought up the potential violation of TOS and the info with whom the sites are now registered being posted. He finally felt it was best to make an appearance and appease the minute amount of BTC that had recently been complained about.

Maybe saving the year long renewal and the money spent doing that and perhaps with hopes of regaining some trust for the sites generating income.

If only the winning players not receiving a payment was the only inclination of being defrauded and of those how many would decide to post about it?

How many made an effort to locate or track who scammed them? Of those how many complained with emails and private messages that did not post about it? Yet nothing was ever mentioned about those peoples bitcoins.

The amount paid out now is so miniscule to how much is being taken in that it would of been asinine to not renew and attempt this weak effort to refute wats been revealed.

So about 2hrs after making my post above I receive this PM.

I am posting this here now so any continued dialog will be transparent and informative for anyone interested to see. I feel at this point complete transparency is needed on behalf of Alex if he wishes to respond to my concerns about his website which for me began 3 months ago with the starting of this thread post #1.

However post #13 on the previous page is the main bulk of the issue at hand and it is this mainly that the transparency in his response is needed.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.848521

In the private message sent to me it was signed Alex so that is wat I will refer to you as and if you wish to do so you may respond here.

Light at the end of the tunnel perhaps ?

I will go back through my transactions and work out how much i wasted on each site.

iirc:
flip site 1: 3 btc
flip site 2: 1 btc
flip site 3: 0.7 btc
btriches (safe cracking thing): 0.5 btc.

should everything be resolved (for myself and other members) Id be happy to move it out of the scam lists.
It would have to go through the review process again and any issues of non payment would bounce it straight back out the list.

Outright fraud is an illegal activity and should clearly qualify as an abuse of their services. Yes?

When registered previously it was through Godaddy with the registrar being Domains By Proxy which is a subsidiary of Godaddy. Since being renewed doood has decided to do business with more unknown names. Less reputable entities which more than likely don't mind his class of character or the theft he perpetrates. However I am not familiar with their business practices and that may very well not be the case.

Is this not in explicit violation of GoDaddy terms of service?

Yeah unfortunately unsuspecting bitcoin supporters are going to continue losing their coins. Whois now shows a new registrar has registered the domain name for another year.
I'm sure the other affiliated domains will be renewed as they expire also. Spends $5 and can make that back with just 1 coin.

I just made a bet, won, and then saw this thread, and thought all hope was lost. Then I received my winnings.

Granted, it was a .01 bet, so it's not much, but here's the info on it...

.
.
A year ago this month a forum member named doood started a thread for his gambling site bitcointoss. Within a month he changed his forum nickname and also posted that he was no longer supporting the site

Bitcoin Toss - Flip a coin and win double your entry!

"As of now, I am no longer supporting this site"

After the first post below the next three post contain quotes from his original nickname "doood"

A year later bitcointoss and other sites of concern are consuming coins from trusting players. Those that lose may send more coins and try again and those that win wait for there coins to be sent back, but soon find that none are being sent, and then they find many other player with the same story

Attempts have been made to question wat is going on but with little contact information being provided if any on the sites there are very few details to assist in getting any answers.

Still dispensing addresses to anyone that request and still consuming coins from trusting bitcoin patrons

doood aka Alex Beckenham aka STIFF has yet to respond

The post above shows dooods quotes now showing as "Alex Beckenham" after changing it that day or the day before. Then he states  he is no longer supporting the site. The post below he made two months later and that account hasn't been active since. His sites however are still running and been getting free adverting and support from the forum all year long

Sites like these are not offering enough details or contact information to even consider risking coins. They are stiffing people that are winning coins. How can they be trusted to run a fair game. Have to watch out for -EV prior to ever even gambling.

I'm not quite sure what kind of criteria you are using. Your choices are possible scam or mathematically proven?

For example http://betcoin.eu has been around a while. I imagine maybe the operator got bored and just let it run on it's own. Who knows, maybe he'll be back in this forum again (I think it's been a while since he signed on). But is it a possible scam? It's possible. Likely? Who knows. I guess that get's at my question about the criteria. I know exactly how to make a program that works exactly like http://betcoin.eu but can give fake payouts to me every so often. That doesn't make http://betcoin.eu a scam though. But proven?

i think the same about bitcointoss... sure there's no admin around but i've been paid the two the small bets i've won. seems harsh if there's just some error on the site to call it a scam if the admin's away.

How many more coins must be scammed by this stiff? Let him come speak for himself. As I don't see this happening any post of doood tagged "Alex Beckenham" need to be and should of already been deleted. Every coin that these stiff sites scam players out of are coins that legit sites will never see.

I used to get referrals too, I'd try referring my self to see if I get a pay out, but I think we all know the answer, and I don't want to drop any coins into it.

Need to look around and see where I posted my referral links so I can remove them, if possible.
