can i sign up again using same phone number?

Looks good, yes you can sign up several times with the same number using the authy app. Or they send you messages from phone numbers every time you wanna login.

I've just tried to register alex.bitcoinwallet.com for a friend but apparently it's the website owner's profile.

Bad luck, that one belongs to the owner Tongue

If I'm not wrong, you can also add other profiles as friends, just like a social networking website.

That is true, you can add contacts and even external wallets.

im sure the bitcoin wallet program would need patched in order for something like this to even work. someone could make a killing off of this tho. I am sure people would have no problem paying for that service.

especially if it supports alt coins also.

I would have no problem to pay IF it started off and really took off across the bitcoin community.

now all that needs to happen is a true bitcoin dns. where you could put something.bitcoinwallet.com into your wallet to send the funds and it would redirect it to the correct wallet.

OFC this would need to be a trusted service as if someone were to alter these DNS records funds could be diverted.

So kind of like an email service for bitcoin and instead of sending words you send bitcoins.

Damn, that would be AWESOME.

BTW the idea behind is neat: basically these addresses aim to be to bitcoin wallets what domain names are to IPs. The Bitcoin DNS  Grin

Now they just need a proper team, with full time experience and devotion to make this work!

It has MASSIVE potential.

isn't this the domain that was sold for $250,000.00 or was it a different one.

You're correct, it was sold for 250,000$, but many people think it was sold to the owner (selling it to himself) as a publicity stunt.
