A little update on this scam: The US SEC has sued the founder of the BitConnect crypto pyramid on charges of unregistered and fraudulent placement of securities worth $2 billion. The SEC is seeking a jury trial for BitConnect, its founder Satish Kumbhani, promoter Glen Arcaro and Future Money Ltd.  https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2021-172

It is good to hear that at least they have been sued. Now it remains to be seen when those involved in this bitconnect scam will be arrested. There are many people I know who are having a bad time now because of this scam. If these scammers at least went inside the jail, then those victims would get a little relief. I think the punishment for those who promoted this scam should be more, because they promoted it in such a way that ordinary people are easily trapped.

Carlos is telling everyone on his youtube channel he has disassociated himself from them and he has learned a valuable lesson from promoting a ponzi scheme like it.
I think he has to do it so he does not end up in the lawsuits which have been going around against the promoters on youtube.

He was a contestant on Britains got talent.
https://youtu.be/WWrPaSuZF8M
and even on an Amazon video promoting Alexa.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7MKutg-GU4

Note: Both spoofs of course. Cheesy

I don't know he made a fortune from this ponzi scheme and he is very vocal and transparent about it everywhere, I bet he is on the look for the next Bitconnectcoin in the market, once you tasted it you can't get enough of it.

Update:
Our BitConnect cryptocurrency will be removed from all exchanges on March 19, 2018.
Therefore, we offer an opportunity for our members.
You can exchange your BCC tokens at the current rate of $142.47 USD per token.
Only until March 19, 2018.
From that day, the currency will no longer have any value and will stop circulating.
Follow the instructions in the following article:
http://telegra.ph/GUIDE-TO-RECOVER-THE-INVESTMENT-FOR-THE-BITCONNECT-BCC-CRYPTOCURRENCY-02-26

You can check future updates through the BitConnect twitter.
https://twitter.com/BitConnectUK

For technical problems related to the synchronization of your wallet, you should contact us by email by writing to [email protected] or visiting our website www.bitconnect.co

I highly doubt they would really be buying back those tokens, but you guys should give it a try. If you can sell back at least 300 tokens of yours that is something of an amount still, will there be a catch to this offer? Most probably.

Those who didn't listen to early warnings of them being scam might not wanna be in crypto anymore.
A local friend that isn't in this forum hasn't dumped but had bought about 300 coins while the price at $200. I told her to sign up here and check what people are telling about bitconnect but she's what she is.

They will not go back to buy a token that has been spread widely. Bitconnect is too clever to show that they are a very good project, but In fact they are a scam.
Scam will always be in the crypto just for the sake of someone who gives a loss to those who do not care about fraud. Some friends also get a loss by buying 500token bcc.

Lending bitconect likely ponzy scam but bitconect its real cryptocurrency .
I never buy or play bitconect .
There are so many ponzi victims, and they always dream of getting rich instantly. Bitconect has succeeded in making people desperate and bankrupt.
I have been away from ponzi and there is no hope of mourning. hopefully everyone realizes that ponzi is a coffin.

this is crazy , seriously people throw such amounts on sites without even researching !?!?!
IDK how these supposedly adults believed that BS , I mean how on earth a 30,000$ investment can bring you money passively more than what most doctors make !!
I'm hoping that these people learned their lesson cause there is no way in getting the money back

I have read quite a lot of news about this site Bitconnect and it seems that this lending and exchange platform on their site looks most likely to be a ponzi scheme at the moment, the site admin doesn't allow their users to exchange the BCC tokens back into bitcoins is an action of taking their money away, and it seems that a lot of users on their site are being affected with this action.

Probably Bitconnect is like a pyramid. Maybe it will collapse. But today it does not prevent me from making a profit.  Cool Let's see what will happen next.

If you suspect that it's a pyramid(and it is, obviously), then don't invest. Because once you're in the scheme even the profits you make you will simply reinvest. Or you may get greedy and try to get referrals, which will lead to more people losing money. You're wasting your time and money, as well as others.

I'm going to invest $100 dollars  in bitconnect since I don't think is a ponzi scheme and the ones who think so also believe all the cryptos are ponzi scheme.....

Bitcoin had a growth of 1000% this year, and the world domination is the limit, so everybody understand that bitcoin can keep growing then why is so difficult to understand that the others cryptos can growth too by investing on bitcoin's growth, in the case of bitconnect why not understanding that the lending platform can give you a daily return better than the interest generates by having $100 on a bank, just because the bots bets on the growth of the others cryptos....

The only thing that can stop bitconnect lending platform is the stopping of the whole cryptocurrency market, so by these logic everybody holding any crypto is in dangerous waters.

Nobody here said that all cryptos are ponzis.

There is a difference between bitconnect and bitcoin. Bitcoin does not promise returns. Bitconnect does, and promises exponential returns that are far beyond realistic. Your logic is flawed, it's like saying to stop online HYIPs you have to stop the entire internet.

No. It does not work like that. Bitconnect is ponzi, bitcoin isn't. Simple as that.

Please join me in reporting the Youtube videos of scammers that are promoting this ponzi.  I bet if several people do it we could bring down the Youtube videos and cause the ponzi to collapse, saving would-be victims millions of dollars.

Now that they are closed, I wonder how many of their newly fooled acquired members lost their entire savings, because of these false advertisements who only drives greediness and blind investing. It’s a sad thing to happen in the crypto space.

I think the same, illiki23.
If you get in and out early, basically you just helped rob people. Sayed everything!
Ponzi schemes stir human avarice and values.
I guess high rate payouts like at BCC can't be real, unless it would be a ponzi scheme.

I think the correct wording would be 'is' rather than 'likely to be'.

Of course it is a Ponzi.  Like every single HYIP program.  Some of them run for years but eventually come crashing down because that is what happens with Ponzis.

Now if you like to gamble you can make money if you get in and out early.  Of course if you knowingly do this and get away you have just helped rob people..
