Poker requires a marketing that needs to go get the poker players from other places instead of actually grabbing the poker players in current crypto space. When you create a brand new dice game for example, you can get other dice players from older dice websites that are bored with it and want to try something new, even blackjack can be considered like that, the market is big enough to get more and more dice websites (some of them will survive while others will die quickly) but poker is not like that, when you want to start a new poker game in crypto you need to get people into crypto as well as into your website which is a lot harder because they are accustomed to play with fiat so playing with crypto will be harder for a lot of poker players. The current poker base in crypto is not big enough to sustain too many websites, hell even one website.

Is there any plan from bitdice to add poker (Texas Holdem) in the future. To be honest, there are only 2 'good' poker sites and would be nice to see more competence, it would be easy to add with some software like poker mavens or cubeia. So, any plans about this?

It would be really difficult without a big existing playerbase.

I’ll second that most of the players on Bitdice I have seen are playing Dice or Blackjack, adding that game will take time and I don’t think the current players are poker fans. I feel instead of adding the poker game right away they can make a survey, asking players if they wish to see poker on the site. On the basis of the input they get, they can take a call going ahead.

There is a big playerbase about Online poker, sadly from that playerbase only the 5% or less is on cryptos. But i think that's because there are no god cryptos poker services like full tilt poker, or one of those. Maybe if a good engine comes out that will bring more professionals players. But you are right, maybe now is a bad bet.

Adding an existing poker software would probably not bring that new innovation and making one of our own would be too big an overhead at this point IMO.

What's going on guys? I have been away from the forum for a while and I'm stoked by the updates that have been added to the site! Good to see @Boxbob & BitDice team holding it down all professionally without a single complain in all these months. Smiley

Business as usual lately.

That's really interesting. But what kind of challenge will you add to this matters. Because it is player to player and there is nothing automated. Each one's winning need to be fair without anykind of mistakes, only then it will gain the reputation so that more users participates.
There are several ways to determine the winner it could be based from one of the following. Assuming all players would have an equal starting balance.
-profit not including losses
-wagered amount
-whoever has the highest balance at the end of the day
-rolling a specific number

There's no need to doubt bitdice if you think the players can cheat then someone trusted(maybe the escrow) has to be the referee for verification.

If no one is interested, that's fine too Wink
I'm interested but it might take time to fill in the remaining slots.
It will be easily fill the slots because there's a lot of gamblers around. The problem is how to attract them. Probably another thread in Gambling is the best thing to do. I'm more of a sports bettor though, so I'm not going to be interested, but with so many experienced gamblers around, I won't be surprised if all the slots will be taken.

For current situation, I do not think that they need to attract more people. By making some events people will always stand by and deposit some of their money already to play, so there is no need for them to asking people to play again on their site. It is already like automatically people will try to find them for betting on their casino or sportbetting
Every casino need to attract more people either they are too much reputed and well known or they are new. For example who has 10k users they need 15k users. Who has 1M users they need 1.1M users. So, attracting new people is a must.

But currently with this member I believe they are good enough and what they should do is maintaining this people by giving something new for them so they do not bore and will still keep on coming back. But for new players if they always come without staying, what is the point then? Gambling away some of their money and stay out from this site, do you think it works like that?

I'll give you the summary on what happened, it's more about the contests that BitDice ran last holidays and it's a very generous type of giveway/contest.

It is must to be better, competition or contest to give something back to players is a common thing nowadays. Almost all sites give such thing to make their players stay as long as possible. Good to hear that bitdice is getting better with bigger reward so they are still competing with the other sites. Hope to see more and more promo and contests like what they had in the past because I think they had better promos than what they have now. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're quite wrong. We currently have a chatbot running events during active periods and the wager competitions have been running more often compared to before. We may have removed the faucet but I wouldn't consider that a "better" promo.

Of course input on what would be a good promo is always welcome, within reason of course.

Sorry if I'm wrong, to be honest I dont really care about wagering competition as I'm sure that I will never win or even join it as I'm just a small player. I did not notice about the chatbot as well because I'm not really active in chatbox in almost all site where I gamble unless there is special event on chat which is announced earlier like what bitdice had before.

The chatbot is a great idea, it doesn't give tons of money but is a slow start. I like that kind of promos and leave it random to the winners so totally fair.

ABout the other promos, you are already creating great promotions, i remember the video contest and the wager competition some weeks ago. So, the next promo could be 2009 - 2019 gambler challenge or something fun like that.

I agree. I dont think many if any online casinos had so many promotion competitions from new year till now as did https://www.bitdice.me/

Would the actual situation really go through this ?? I discourage people to try to find them but encourage them to make an official statement about their new set. Custumers will easly follow another site if failed to easly find them.
This is what i think.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
All this talk of promo, maybe some of us should have our own mini promo on a separate thread, some kind of simple challenge with a few participants facing just each other. We all contribute a small fee each, something silly small like $5. 16 of us makes $80. Winner takes all after KO of 8 on 8, 4 on 4, then 2 on 2, then final.

What do you think? Like a BitDice Diceslinger trophy? Think we can get 16 people?

Well, we have everything provably fair, so I don't know why that's necessary to bring up in BitDice! Any dice that isn't provably fair these days just isn't good enough for Bitcoin gamblers.

It was just a suggestion, and I think it doesn't need to be SO complicated. Of course people say "escrow" first thing, but that's so easy to do with so many reputable players to do and come on it's only $5!

If no one is interested, that's fine too Wink

Yes I agree with this suggestion. It would be interesting and something to participate in while the site owner decides on when to run their next promotion.
Maybe the moderator of their chat can approve it first so this is not going against any of their rules running this separate competition.
