It might be back up and working again, but it is going to take them a long time to get the trust of investors back and make the money they lost back to pay out. Assuming they're doing that anyways.

I personally won't use their site, but I never did in the first place so my opinion is pretty useless.

the sponsors will be the IDIOTS who will continue to use the scam website, Bitfinex

I just checked and found that i have less than 1$ in BFX token, i thought i haven't any bitcoin there but may be few satoshi were there during hack so i get those <1$ in BFX token. Hope they will settle and payback all who losses over time.

What's the new token's name? Is it called BFX Omni?

There's a reddit thread discussing it and one person calls the tokens that but I can't find any official Bitfinex information about them. They could have thought up a better name than that.

These tokens are BFX.  You can use an Omni wallet to move/trade them.  Omni wallet has a web version: https://www.omniwallet.org/login and a desktop version: http://www.omnilayer.org/download.html#download

Your Omni wallet is also very useful for trading these top 20 tokens too: Maidsafe, Agoras Tokens, Synereo, Tether, and many others too.

where can I find the log of all my previous transaction?
I have a few litecoin and some cash there in the account. It's now missing, I cannot see them yet.
And I also have 1/3 of my BTC gone. replaced by BFX. of equal dollar amount.

OK fine,. the site is hacked.
The coin must have been transfer to another addresses.
Does any one know which is bitfinex bit addresses, and to which addresses the coin get transferred.
120,000 coins, I ;m sure we can track the addresses in blockchain and find the culprit.

Yes, they have replaced everything by BFX tokens for now. A lot of people are claiming thats another scam. Bitfinex right now  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GSXbgfKFWg ( source: reddit)

I believe you can find the address to what coins were transferred by doing a google search. It isn't so easy, they cover their tracks very well. Plus bitcoins are almost untraceable. You can see the address but not the owner, and they can be mixed along the way making it further impossible to trace.

Even though bitfinex is back for now, i still doubt whale/traders will stop use this service.
In fact, 36.067% of users money were hacked or stolen by them and claimed it's a way to be "fair" for all users.
At least, bitfinex won't be 2nd Mt. Gox in bitcoin history (for now).

It's funny that they don't think that their business is gone forever. They really must think bitcoiners are stupid.

Based on historical evidence and what they know about bitcoin users, they seem to be right on the mark.

If you have an account there check you balance now--do the refund you?
I read on their twitter today that they have relaunched the site , but they didn't mention anything related to the hacking operation .
I also read in other article that they will compensate the site users by giving them BFX tokens , and they are in talks with investors in order to restore the required capital to compensate the site users .
Good news for Bitfinex users , and although I didn't lose money there , but I hope you all resorte your losses .

Why they just don't take out their money left and forget about them is beyond my comprehension. Shocked

We all saw how great the security was when someone tried to rob it. If there even was a hacker......

Yayy! Bitfinex back to life. Expect another hack soon, then Cheesy

Interesting how no one mentioned what kind of vulnerability or exploit was used to "hack" the website. If they released that information, it'd bring the credibility of their story up, even if it is just by 5%.

IF the site WAS "hacked", let's assume that the password was brute forced. A simple google search led me to the email Query value: [email protected] (email). Seeing as blog.bitfinex.com runs WordPress, I ran a few tests.

Firstly, user enumeration is possible. I tested it with two, but:
ID   User   Login
1   admin    admin

If one was to brute force, they'd add admin into the &username= part of their brute force query.

---

HAHAHA I FOUND A VULNERABILITY IN THE WEBSITE. IT'S AN SQLI VULNERABILITY.

you won't see anything like that from Bitfinex. They are just a gang of scammers. They manipulated the market, inside traders, blocked client's accounts and so on... Yes, there are so many idiots to accept their shits  Smiley

you can see how many of the Bitfinex's clients are saying THANKS that Bitfinex found a miraculous solution : a cut of 36% + shit tokens  while Bitfinex earned over 25 MIL USD Grin Cheesy

I heard that the Gemini exchange based in New York is FDIC insured for your funds, does it apply to bitcoin as well?
