Bitfloor website has an update:

We have received the check and are working on a way to start returning funds. We do not yet have an ETA, but understand everyone is anxious to get their money back and we are trying to make that happen as quickly as possible.

Places to look:

reddit.com/r/bitcoin (search for bitfloor. newest posts)

twitter.com/r/bitfloor
bitfloor.com

Recent press:
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/05/weeks-after-shutdown-bitcoin-exchange-customers-still-wait-for-refunds/

In a nut shell:
Wait.
Wait some more.
Wait a bit longer.
Then perhaps a class action lawsuit and the partial recovery of funds.

Well, I sent an email to the support mailbox.  Haven't tried anything else yet.

And it looks like they are still waiting on the bank, straight off their website:

We are still waiting to hear back from the bank regarding our remaining account balance.

And still no answer to my email.  Sad

I received an answer to my email.  It said "Please don't email me to my personal inbox, check the support page for any news."

He doesn't like email directly to shtylman (at) gmail.com

I emailed them because the transactions showed that the money was taken out for the ACH deposit, but I've never seen any at my bank.  Sad

I don't see any changes on the website any more, and no one has answered my support email at bitfloor yet, so wondering what is going on.

Anyone heard anything?

I haven't heard anything and I've been nice enough not to bug them via email. I'll wait this "10 days" but after that, I'll definitely be emailing them.

Yeah, wishing I hadn't decided to cash out my coins on that day.  Had I held off until I knew I could ACH the USD out, I would still have my coins to sell somewhere else.  :-(

My ACH option got approved overnight, so I went ahead and started the USD transfer.  Will know in a couple days if it went through.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if I'll be seeing my money soon....

The bank has issued us a check for the remaining account balance. Once this check is received, we will be working to establish a way to return the remaining USD funds.

The ETA for receiving the check is around 10 days. Until then, we will be unable to make any further payouts. We are exploring various options for returning your funds.

Says that at the top of the website now.

Well this sucks! I was hoping to see my ACH deposit tomorrow but since I was in the 4/18 group, I guess the waiting game continues.  Angry

not sure why people still use bitfloor after the first hack where they lost 210k bitcoins

Actually it was 24,000 BTC.  Wink

Update for those who, like me, were not in the ACH verification queue when this stuff went down:

I thought that it was impossible to enter the queue because the website refused to let me upload photos, even though the ones I was trying to upload were less than 2MB (the filesize limit specified on the site). But this morning, after seeing a tweet from @bitfloor, I tried again with a file size closer to 500K and it worked fine. Hopefully in a week or two I will be verified and will then attempt an ACH withdrawal. I have revised my estimate of the probability that I will get my USD back slightly upwards.

Seems the exchanges in general really need to sort some things out, before they really can hit the big leagues.

What would solve all of this is a legitimate pre-existing trading firm, likely one of the forex brokers, to start trading BTC.

you're money, and mine is gone.

Roman did it again.

but... here's the kicker.  He's safe-  Roman Shtylman isn't his real name.  It's fake.

There doesn't exist a Roman Shtylman in any US database Smiley)

His location, his company, everything about his blogs, designed to mislead you all along and build up credit for a fake name "Roman Shtylman or Shtylmann".    It's not real.  You can hate Roman all you like, he doesn't exist. It's a different person behind it, and you'll likely never know who.

I know, I've been researching "very" deep.

Your Google-Fu is lacking.

https://pipl.com/search/?q=roman+shtylman&l=&sloc=&in=6

Of course that's another Roman Shtylman, but that's a whole different can of worms.
