We are currently writing up some detailed information on our security. The bitcoin wallet and database is on a different machine than the rest of the system, and is not connected to the internet. Therefore, an attacker would have to hack the webserver and then use that to hack into the wallet/database server. All passwords are hashed with bcrypt so even in the unlikely chance that an attacker compromised the database, your password would not be decrypted even if it was weak. We have multiple bank accounts, so if the bank closes the account we are using we will simply start using another one. There may be some delays in USD withdrawals during that time but banks are not allowed to just take your money; we will get it eventually. Currently we use dwolla for everything, so there is no bank account to close.

+1 just had to bump this...

bitfloor generates a unique deposit amount for you. something like within +- $.50 of your intended deposit amount. It's important to deposit that exact amount to get your money on the exchange. If you mess up, you'll probably have to email support to sort it out.

Wonderful thank you

Do you have a chase or wells Fargo branch available to you?

yup. what info do they need for me to deposit?
Wells Fargo only needed the account name and number. One teller needed to lookup the account and wanted the city (which is ny,ny).

thennnnn how do you tell where the payment is coming from

Thanks for the info Shtylman,

I watched an interview you did around February/March or so. You mentioned that "vadimg" (https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/vadimg-37089) is no longer at bitfloor.com, can you go into more details?

Not really many details here other than he decided to pursue other projects instead.

Hello shtylman & vadimg,

Would you consider this the official bitfloor.com thread at bitcointalk.org? I couldn't find it on your signature.

Cheers!

I wouldn't say we have an "official" thread since I usually post separate updates, but we do have https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitfloorcom-rocks-87584 which a user started and I comment on any questions that come up.

Hi, perhaps you wouldn't mind discussing your insurance policies, security auditing, etc. If in the terribly unfortunate case you are hacked or your bank closes your account, what are your plans in advance?

Is the .3% fee introductory, or are you not planning on changing it anytime soon?

The fee is not introductory and it is for everyone. We do reserve the right to change the fee structure in the future, but will notify all traders in/when this happens.
