As you know, orig downloads are down.

Can somebody PM me the schematic and board files  for the SC ORION version .
I like to make some use of this obsolete miner in another project.

many thanks in advance.

Paul.

I have the SC schematics in PDF format.

Any chance you still have these laying around?

Is there more details necessary to build a clone board? I'm curious as this might be a good use for those chip credits.

Are there going to be schematics for the long boards?

Quote
I don't believe we have any plans on releasing the longboard designs. The point of us releasing the design stuff wasn't so people can just go make their own BFL stuff... it was so people can make new stuff.

I assume the "ARM" spot is for a miner on board? But how is the ARM supposed to communicate off the board? I see no ethernet?

Is this design easy to improve upon ?

I would help finance a PCB production group-buy.

Their facebook authentication thingy for creating new user accounts is totally fucked. It was showing me the personal name and email of some random user earlier today, and no matter how many times I refreshed the page, it kept rejecting my information when trying to register...

Can somebody download it and re-post? Really not interested in fucking with registration on that site, any further.

I wonder in a parallel universe somewhere that Avalon doesn't exist, if their BFL would have even considered this.

Edit: And bitch please, upload it to something more open than BFL forums, my god.

and BFL could build miner without the help of the community after one year of "shipping in 14 day" bullshit

Thanks, but it's a bit incomplete, though. The schematic isn't EVERYTHING.. Where is the SchDoc? I think we all need the BOM too, otherwise it's useless.

The schematics are provided in the PDF file which can , if someone wants to, be converted to a schdoc file ...

It looks like their Altium BOM is about as detailed as the Avalon Altium BOM but some components are missing but the schematic PDF file fills in the blanks as does the Avalon PDF schematics fill in the blanks with regards to Avalon.  Therefore, I believe if you know what you're doing the information provided is more than sufficient to make a fully functional BFL miner - if you have the asics.  Basically, similarly to Avalon, a full and separate BOM doesn't appear necessary if you use the schematics in combination with the Altium file ...
