Guys, info on site is not what they doing right now. I don't know what that was the monster (I think FPGA one), but Bitfury now developing 65nm full-custom ASIC chip with great (even more greater then BFL) characteristics. On of Bitfury's investors - Metabank, will develop boards based on that ASIC's for Russia. Suggested price for one 120 Gh/s device will be around $1260. Another investors not announced they plans yet...
Bitfury now is awaiting first engineering samples from fab (end of may), and will respin it if something will go wrong.
Russian topic https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitfury-asic-65nm-183368 Here you can find a lot of explanations Bitfury's chip designer itself, but you should to know russian, since I'm not believe that google translate will help much.

Estimated price:    US $90'000 depending on project customization Huh

Don't people learn to read? There's no Bitfury ASIC on sale currently. The $90000 figure is for last year's FPGA cluster.

another shit with 4+ months roi
120 Gh/s for $2160
You must be kidding about ROI.

wut? i'm talking about 110 for 90000

another shit with 4+ months roi
We've been dealing with 6-12 months ROI since I started BTC mining in 2011. Where else are you gonna get a 4 month ROI?! In the real world, that's pretty damn good.
4 months roi was good back than, but now shitstorm of terahash are coming at the end of summer, so 4 months is not good anymore imho

Read through their business plan cover to cover, and bet 2.5 no. There is no way they're going to demonstrate this in 5 weeks.

What makes you think so?

100 BTC would be a small sacrifice to convince people into your scam. Not saying it IS a scam...if they're legit they're likely to get a lot more orders by this kind of "advertising" than they'll lose.

I don't believe they can do it, but the resolution date is a bit too long, I'll probably make more trading my coins than waiting for the bet to resolve...especially if someone bets a bunch of coins shortly after I bet the return just isn't worth it. Even though I'm 99% convinced they'll be nowhere near their claimed efficiency.

The Bitfury ASIC project is very real. They are working it tandem with the 100TH-Mine project founders: https://picostocks.com/businessplan/19 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/picostocks-100ths-bitcoin-mine-100th-140366 IMHO 100TH-Mine is one of the most profitable ways to invest in ASIC as of today (along with buying bare Avalon chips). Also quite high risk. High profits always come with high risks.

Disclosure: I am a shareholder.

although I don't believe the 0.7W per chip will actually happen.
It was a typo in the OP, actual number is 0.5W per GH/s, not per chip itself.

Hey I got wind of a new ASIC made by Bitfury, not much discussion on it though.. legit?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitfury-asic-65nm-183368

Here's the Google translation of the ASIC announcement/pre-order post:

Quote
Comrades miners! Finally have some free time that would make the announcement of the most technologically advanced ASIC at the moment. Meet Bitfury ASIC Technology: 65 nm Performance: at least 5 Gh / s per chip consumption: 0.5 W per chip, 0.7 W on the finished device Delivery: August 2013 (in the contract for the supply of specified October) Price: $ 18 for gigahesh (until the actual engineering samples) in February of this year, a meeting with investors Bitfury (including metabank) and has been the start of a new generation of ASIC, with a unique design chip , which is currently unmatched performance per watt of power, including allowing operation without active cooling devices. In March, the launch of an engineering-based factory UMC (Taiwan) in which the design of the chip was fully coordinated and approved by the experts of the factory. in May will be obtained plate, and the first test chips are expected in June, when it will be possible to talk about the final performance characteristics - perhaps as 10Gh on the chip. We declare its readiness to sell part of its share of chips for pre-order and the further distribution of products Bitfury in Russia. Conditions pre-order - complete Prepaid selected number of chips. For those who live in Moscow or ready to come, it is agreed as additional legal protection for your investment. For non-delivery, as well as if you have decided to abandon the pre-order, returns the entire amount in full. Price on pre-order to obtain samples inzhenenernyh - $ 18 per gigahesh. For comparison, the approximate price of Avalon is now $ 140 for ex, BFL - $ 50 per rx. Planned charge the device will contain a minimum of 24 chips (120 Gh / s), which is obtained from the minimum amount of pre-order - 2160 $. For those who are willing to buy only chips - special conditions. Contents can be pre-ordered in the office of LLC "Bitcoin-Rus" at the address. Elektrozavodskaya house 24 office. 611 And also to all the contacts on metabank.ru / contacts

I'm inclined to believe it's legit, although I don't believe the 0.7W per chip will actually happen.

Even so, if they really are legit, and really follow through with those planned prices (120Gh/s device for $2160), that'll be awesome, because it'll force their competition to lower their prices.
