Our software LasershowGen won second place in the 2015 International Laser Display Association Fenning Awards for Technical Achievement! VRLSS got an honorable mention. http://www.laserist.org/awards2015.htm

No one buying that progam has paid in bitcoin yet if I remember correctly. It might be too much to hope for that the hobby lasershow niche and bitcoin niche overlaps but it would be a cool milestone!
Can you kill spiders with the most powerful? I am so close to making a purchase it's untrue.

You would think the country where every animal you see can kill you would be less nitpicky about what requires a license......

1mW. Crazy bro. Crazy. lasers in the stores in the US are an average 5mW. Flamethrowing a tree full of spiders may freak people out, but less people notice if you vaporize them with lasers.

You would think with the funnel web spiders there... the dingos... whatever the hell else they got there... that Australia would be cool with people having things to fend off critters from far far away....

You should probably move your business somewhere more friendly... yeah...

Yes Australia is one of the strictest. IIRC if a laser is over 1mW it is classified as a weapon and not permitted without a license.

Nah the dude is in the US. Im gettin the impression that Australia is rly strict with all kinds of stuff. In the US, even tho theres a bunch of idiots pointing lasers up into the sky at aircraft, there's no law outright banning the possession of a laser. They'll come lock a fool up if he point that at a plane, but....

Im curious, do they even sell small laser pointers in Australia or no?

In the US they're in every dollar store, or almost every dollar store. Weak ones, yeah. But they're there. Alotta people in the US play amateur scientist filming stuff with lasers and magnetrons and melting metal and whatnot. Laws are reasonable there at least.

I think I can indulge myself a small bump  Grin

I am actually contemplating shutting the store down sometime within the next few months, due to the ever increasing amount of laws relating to lasers. The hobby is in a sad state.
Wat did the Feds pay u a visit or something? Dont listen to them man. They just bein totalitarian is all. Anything that can be perceived as a threat...

I mean unless they like forced u to implant spy chips and GPS tracking things in your products, then yeah, that would be a good time to stop.

No I haven't had any visits from law enforcement. But the laws have changed a lot since I started the shop, I'm no longer even sure that it's legal or not, it's a mess to be honest. I'd rather not take the chances and quit before I get any visits.

Now if it's just the fact that ur not getting that many sales and u think its cuz more ppl are being forbidden, I dont think so. Its just cuz ur lasers are a little bit behind the times... maybe a little on the pricey side... I wont say where, but theres some other guys with a 7W 445 nm for only about 199 USD. People want to see more upgrades and variety. There was also a 405 nm 900W for about a hundred....

(and yeah they also ship worldwide, with some exceptions. Didn't read into it too much cuz budget aint all that atm. )

All I can say is you get what you pay for  Wink I have regularily been lowering prices and adding new models, just look at the web archive how my site looked two years ago.

Prices like 7W for $199 sound sketchy to be honest, I couldn't sell that even if I wanted, it's below even my raw cost of components. And I need a margin to merely stay even if I am to be able to for example honor refunds. Customer service is important, I've had hundreds of sales and I don't think you'll find a single one that feels displeased or have their complaints ignored. If it's a site in China working for pennies on the hour and without a safety net margin, of course I can't compete with that..

I want to buy the most powerful you have but I have a question. Say up close you can burn a piece of paper. How far away can you go and still be able to burn the paper?

It is a hard question to answer because it depends on a lot of variables, like what you mean by burning the paper. Set it aflame? Not very far unless you have an external focusing device like a beam expander, maybe 2-3 meters with good focus. Simple things like pop balloons it can do from tens of meters away.

The most powerful laser I have on the site is a 2800mW blue one. But for one customer in the past I made a custom ~5000mW blue laser in a custom rectangular 3D printed encasing. If you want the absolute highest power, I can make one for you too, but it's pretty expensive, it would be $399 + shipping.

Inedibly rightly so Do you 3D print the cases yourself?

Some really nice lasers you've built. I've got to get one soon, although I'm not aloud at the moment. Apparently I'm buying too much stuff, Tongue But, that 15% off is very tempting.

Me too!! Its addictive to constantly buy stuff on line thinking you need it. hehe

Some days ago I got a custom order for a 5000mW blue laser. Here's a quick video of how it burns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DkPHo0gWlk

By the way, I might have mentioned this already, but some weeks ago I got another one of my suppliers to accept bitcoin: http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/eudaimonium-s-machine-shop-73749-15.html#post1350758

Now I can pay for about 75% of my shop's total expenses in bitcoin. Who needs fiat? Smiley

And now coinbase pulled the same shit, so I've changed payment processor again, to AsMoney.

Good news is, that this means that I can now accept a bunch of altcoins as well, specifically litecoin, darkcoin, dogecoin and peercoin.

That's quite a big announcement. This broadens you market quite largely. Good luck.

1800mW and 2800mW lasers back in stock

So Bitpay just hit me with some compliance ID demands that is impossible to submit. I may not be able to receive bitcoin at all right now, as they appear to have lowered my daily approved volume to an amount lower than almost all items in my store cost.. I will fix this asap, but if anyone wanted to buy something right now and the payment doesn't work, hit me up on PM and I can give you vanilla custom bitcoin address for payment.

Changed to coinbase to fix the problem
Dont use any of these crappy payment providers. You only need a free BTC wallet, that's all.

It's not that simple, I need something that integrates with opencart and works automatically without me having to manually create and verify invoices. Also I'm not good at security, so it can't involve a wallet hosted on any of my own servers, that makes me vulnerable to hacking.
