Saw this a few days ago and well among the obvious (difficulty) I suspect this is also why the price drop.

While speaking in reference to the "Z9 Big/Full" hashrate as compared to the Z9 Mini -- the Full Size Z9 is estimated to 3x-4x the hashrate of the mini

Just like the L3 (mini) and the L3+ I suspect the big version is on the horizon soon and the mini's need to be sold first.

They should at least let us stack the coupons.   I'd buy an E3 for $500 off.

If so you would think the hashrate would increase from any timeframe in the last 90 days however it looks like its constant.

So most likely some people like me who got old GPUs like the Radeon 7970 they've just moved on to CN. But it looks like Bitmain isn't producing more of these ASICS or the hashrate would keep increasing.

Z9 ($1520 - 2x horse power) batch gained more by $405 vs Z9 ($1999) & lower capital by $479                              

$1,999 batch 1 has a 2 month head start on both;
$1,520 batch 2 (two being delivered) and
$850 current price

$1,149 price premium over 60 days = $19.15 per day

Current profit @ 10,500 sols = $31-$38 per day

I doubt anyone in batch 1 would take the option of swapping it for two in batch 2 or one @ $850 both being delivered late August.

To everyone saying that batch 1 should have got a 2 for 1;
1. Batch 1 has already shipped for some
2. Batch 1 is limited quantity... how can you double quantity?
3. They want more money spent on a product that isn't meeting their sales expectations... hence coupons.

Wow, Z9 unit cost is halving faster than daily revenue, huge setback for buying earlier batch at premium price for advanced delivery versus waiting/delivery time of newer/cheaper batch.
