crypticj, no, i was not able. Got the same problem with the captcha!

I have spoken to over 10-15 ppl in slack and in forums they all report the same thing, not a single reliable person has said there order went thru or the payment option showed up.

Looks like either Bitmain never sold D3 or some one played a masterful game, hopefully we find out soon enough. Very frustrating for ppl wanting to buy D3 and now they are showing up on Alibaba for 3x price for november etc.

the twitter.com/bitmaintech site is clearly an ALIBABA front, note that the link in todays 'sale' lead's directly to alibaba, but the funny thing is nobody, but alibaba resellers made an order go through,

very blatant for me in asia, next time I'm going to order on the chinese site, as it clearly told me that an english order in asia was verboten, so now I'm suspicious if that perhaps 'chinese' orders were going through.

Releasing new batches of Antminer D3 & L3+ tomorrow at 11AM (14 Sept,GMT+8) here (D3: [Suspicious link removed]/gGn5aD, L3+: [Suspicious link removed]/4ejRXC) pic.twitter.com/H3kJ4Mk9yR

note that hte [Suspicious link removed] faux sites went straight to alibab, who just happens to have ZERO interest in selling HW to the public at the wholesale price.

shop.bitmain.com is ALIBABA

traceroute -A on shop.bitmain.com gives AS45102 - Alibaba (China) Technology Co., Ltd., China

So there you go folks, whenever you pay, or order on BITMAIN.COM, alibaba is taking care of that ORDER.

Now go figure why ALL english accounts and non-chinese accounts get sent to the /dev/null pool??

Of what interest does bitmain.com have other than off-loading hardware, in pre-payment, of course alibaba is a resale place and loves to make 500% ROI on a quick deal.

What's left for the minion? NADA

Note they twitter show today the faux gl link at the top of the sale, leads directly to this site, a alibaba site.

Don't be prejudice ...  Grin
Alibaba and aliexpress are very good e-commerce site.

Maybe bitmain just host their server in alibaba data centre?

if bitmain sell through alibaba/aliexpress , i believe it will be smooth as they are comparable to amazon and ebay.

If I can suggest to Bitmain, maybe they should channel the order through amazon store , ... what do you think ?

Everyone, I mean everyone on the the Bitmain IT staff responsible for the website needs to be fired yesterday.
Completely unacceptable in these times.
A complete crap-fest !

When you hear an orchestra, look for a conductor.

What would be the purpose of a fair allotment of this device? Especially given that the current actually makes money.

The staff of bitmain is hardly responsible for this fubar,

All through this journey ( I'm in asia, very close to Kunming, China ), bitmain.com worked just fine, its when THEY pass you off to passport.bitmain.com that things fail, so the question begs to be asked, who are these people?

IMHO this passport.bitmain.com is not part of the TECH company, IMHO most likely passport.bitmain.com is a JACK-MA company, and most likely they /dev/null any order that isn't in the alibaba/aliexpress queue

To suspect otherwise is crazy, people know they can resell this stuff 200% or more, its a no lose, thus there is no reason for a fair game, for bitmain.com, there only goal is to sell and/or pre-allocate and fund the next batch, why not they know the 1/2 life for this stuff is months, the S9 is already DOA, given that it will not ROI $10/day. It will not be long for D3, all bitmain.com can hope for is to keep playing the current game of getting paid in advance before demand goes to zero.

Also of course keeping this stuff in china is of everyone's interest, from a geo-political point of view.

Soon china, will have +90% of the entire crypto-coin holdings, not unlike having a majority of the worlds gold, this is all high low-level geopolitical stuff.

Here is an interesting article:
"Recently, GMO – a Japanese internet giant and Bitcoin exchange operator announced that they are partnering with one of the four mentioned companies to be able to develop a new ASIC that will be based on 7nm chips."
http://1stminingrig.com/mining-news-7nm-asics-thing/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+1stMiningRig+%281st+Mining+Rig%29

If the Japanese release this miner, they will utterly DESTROY the Bitamin's crap dealing with quality and ordering process.  Bitmain better shape up, or get ready to ship out!  China will have competition, which is a good thing!

if that is D3 pid (produk id for current batch), than its the SAME product id that sale in Sept 12nd
As far as i know, each bacth sales never have same product id (i have checked my bookmarks), why this one is the same with previous one?
Its a left over sales? or because its ship the same time?

Any comment?

Was anyone able to order?
I entered the damn capcha 20 times in a row with correct answers, but it kept asking again and again, wtf

I'm guessing only relatively local orders were taken. US customers probably all got screwed.

also german Cheesy

I'm in Thailand I was ready to go at 10am ( 11am china )

First at check-out it said I couldn't order cuz my language was english, and they didn't ship to china

It took 30 minutes to get past that problem, note I have ordered before  same address, and it say THAILAND

Then at 11:30am china time I finally got my shipper, chose UPS, and then it was play captcha game for an hour

By 12:30am china time the site said "D3 out of storage", and it was still in my cart but not available.

It's clear the site has 100's of problems, probably biggest problem is the "2+2=?" is totally unstable

I suspect that the entire order process was a show, most likely the entire batch bought up by some party?

It seems that they're now offering these 'auctions' weekly, perhaps to test their site.

There is no reason for my first rejection because it thought thailand is china. I can see the captcha algo being junk,

A few times at 11:15am, I got into the wait and drop loop, where passport.bitmain just drops your connection and back to check-out.

It last 1-1/2 hours of pure fun.

I don't think anybody anywhere played this game well, except for insiders, given that people are buying 100's for resale on alibaba/aliexpress and selling for $3k++

https://shop.bitmain.com/user/orderDetails.htm?m=add&pid=00020170912160304914mzIAF5BP0670&count=10&fitting=

if you use this url string, it says it has added 10 to your cart, but then storage full when you try to check out.

I think pid= user session id
followed by mz = shopping cart id
followed by count=10 (10 being the number to add to cart)

Any chance the earlier batches are actually 17.5GH/s? I think it's possible since the 15GH/s was likely just an estimate prior to actually manufacturing them.

It may be 17Gh as redesigning and increasing hash rate is not overnight feat, It takes serious effort and why would they redesign a product which hasnt even came out in market yet or may be during testing they found some issues with earlier designs and made some changes.

but that seriously loks delicious now.
