Wow a new record... 75 million difficulty and just $3.50 per day BEFORE electricity. That's a loss for most people!

have a "Chain scission of chips" issue...has anyone got a September/Oct firmware?  flashed with latest firmware short while back and just wondering if its not buggy firmware related

where i should have #60ASIC on each board...chain #2 only showing #48 with a string of xxxxxxxxx's -- PCB/chip temps running very low compared to the other 2 boards

Have same issue on one of my board, you try to run this one for some day but you will end with a halfboard working.

You have to send this one to bitmain for repair.

sent bitmain mail asking them if i should send only the board or complete machine....will let you guys know what the process is as soon as they get back to me

here is a link with pic https://imgur.com/TFVVqza

Send only defective hashboard, unplug all exept one (unplug power cable and connector)

Start this one, target defective, remove it.

Let run your D3 with 2 hashboard is ok, they gonna use 2/3 Watt so no extra charge, you just lost some profit.

Be sure to follow packaging recommandation and it will be ok.

Actually one of my hashboard is on repair
what profit the 3 $ aday hehehehe

I've been having the hardest time getting their customer service to answer on whether or not my PSU that was ordered with the D3 miner has been shipped or not.

I got the D3 a week ago and keep getting shipping invoices for the D3 but nothing on the PSU, customer service gave a generalized auto response with link of how to check estimated shipping dates but the estimated shipping date has past.

Not very good customer service to say the least.   They never answer the phone and just give generalized responses via help desk.

Same issue.  My D3 arrived Monday but no shipment in sight for the psu.  I'm thinking of getting EVGA.

If it's anything like the October batch, the PSU's will be shipped a couple of days after. My D3 arrived on a Monday and the PSU arrived on the Thursday.

I have exactly the same issue after the firmware update. My D3 worked flawless for one week, then I decided to upgrde the firmware...  Undecided

At first on chain 1 6 asic chips disappeared, after reboot chain 1 was ok, but on chain 2 6 chips disappeared, after reboot the complete chain 2 was not displayed on the status screen, but worked.

I have the september firmware, will try to downgrade today and hope the best.

Ambient temp is 10°C and Chip temperature is 72°C at november w/o overclock so Shitmain will burn all miners at begining of april.

Dont buy this shitty companies product or coin like bitcoin crash.
i bought the bitshit with 5000$ and arrive today i dont know when i will return the d3 shity cost

I'm 4K into this...I'm at a 50% tax rate and have 25% equip ded

this year off full amount (usa) (instead of 5 yr depr) towards taxes I will owe. So I have some 'ego' cover....

So hell, I just need to get to 25% back on these 2 D3' about $1, 250 with psu's and shipping etc... to call it a 'draw' rather than pay the IRS/State Taxes and of

course equip deduction tax angle this year...

THAT almost looks unlikely as an EGO PROTECTION TOOL.... (which I need desperately)

could be rough running these long enough to even get the 25% back ..plus electricity

However, does not get around the fact that I did not fall for their  "Bitmain Toaster Fest"...hook line and Sinker..(the newbie lurks within it seems)

BTF: Bitmain Toaster Fest (I like it..I may use it as a personal meme)

ER ...wait must stay pissed off ...can't be distracted by meme's  (oh....look a cute kitty meme...awwww..) Smiley

It seems there is potential for the custom firmware to enable other algos as per the other thread. Although this could be profitable for short-term, I guess other algos will then fate with difficulty(the toasters that are toasting coins) and back to sq1

To be honest this was my first ASIC ordered, I'm kinda glad I didn't get two like planned but suffered some payment issues(phew). Then I managed to get some L3+'s and a S9 which seems to be good... for now anyway haha

Is there any solution for dead hashing boards on D3 miners? I tried downclock, but still not working stable, every day few boards are dead on miners, so I need to restart it.
Tried 2 different firmware's, but no help. D3 miners are garbage, L3+ is a lot better, never had problem with L3+ miners.

I had the same issue but after upgrading to the newest firmware they are running fine now. Even in the description they state that it should fix the problem: https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720170915192851224mJ36J1ap066E

Would you advise to apply this upgrade to all D3s, even if they have no issues ?

I applied to all of them and they running fine.
