This Is the first time I have heard of this, what do you guys think?
I'm just going to repeat what I've said back in June of last year: They're probably doing it to justify having "ridiculous price tags on their upcoming limited edition series coins".
- For what it's worth, I do like the overall look of the coin in question.

- Are they going to make the bitcoin address of the wallet public?
Yes:
  • It will have a public vanity address allowing anyone interested to witness its redemption or add some Sats if you’re feeling generous.

It's creative idea to spread words of Bitcoin (alongside with Bitmex), although i don't expect much.

- Will it be hidden from future astronauts?

The website made this statement

- Are they going to use some elon musky tech for their bitcoin to land on mar.s.. i mean moon. TO THA MUUN

If you check image shown by OP carefully, it's shown it'll use Peregrine-1. Very quick research shows it's developed by NASA (https://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/nmc/spacecraft/display.action?id=PEREGRN-1).

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
Interesting, but, what's the point?
By sending a physical bitcoin to the moon, can we expect a bull market as well?
Anyway, good for massive adoption, I guess.

I think this is just to add to the hype of the bitmex exchange as far as this claim is a "first" 1 bitcoin landing on the moon, however I'm sure it won't have any effect on the market price nor hypnotize people into adopting bitcoin massively. I also don't think that a physical coin containing 1btc will be left there. Moreover, ask FE adherents if their launch is really authentic or not. LOL

Thats interesting, unique and basically putting that physical collectable and 1
Bitcoin out of reach of everyone. Bitcoin is physically going "to the moon"

Commemorative coins will be available for sale before launch, obviously limited,
I wonder who will be first with the unofficial commemoration of this event?

Bitcoin needs you!
We’ve had bits of the  moon in bitcoin collectibles  by forum member Kialara before , but never a bitcoin collectible ON the moon.

Love it - cool idea ! That coin will certainly be a collectible of note. Not my favourite design , but definitely unique. Any idea of how many will be produced apart from this one ?
