What's Bitmits policy on no-show items?

On most of my items, I offer free unregistered shipping, and registered shipping for an extra fee of $2. The "free" option is of course not free to me, but I find it's very much worth the small cost to make it easier for the customers to make the decision to go ahead and buy my items.

Many customers chose the free option, without tracking. Sometimes, it takes quite some time before the item arrives with the customer. Should an item never show up at all, would Bitmit release the escrowed payment back to the customer?

I think this is an interesting discussion. I, as a seller, has no blame in the item never showing up in the customers mailbox (as long as I have actually sent the item). Still, should it be my loss if the item is lost in transit? Or is it the customers fault for choosing an unregistered shipping option?

Seems like bitmits server is down. Having trouble connecting to it, and i also did a test with isitup.org, no luck for them either.

I'm not sure if this matches the above, but I can say that sometimes when someone buys a quantity of one when I have the option to buy a quantity greater than one, it ends my listing even though I have multiple available.

Could you help fix my listing.
https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/13429-bitsafe-1-1-hardware-wallet-firmware-now-upgradeable-via-usb

It seems to be in limbo. I can't re list it and it is inactive (no one can buy and it doesn't show up on the searches). Not sure what is going on.

OK, I delisted the auction in hopes that I could reactivate, but then it was gone :-(
I was hoping it would be moved to the "Not Sold" category of the sell area.

Oh well, I've recreated the listing so no worries.

Found a small bug.

I had an order where the buyer purchased two items together.
For one of the listings, there was over 10 for sell and the other only 1 for sale.
After the purchase of 1 of each together, now both listing have been removed from bitmit.

Thanks for all the hard work.

PM me if you need more details as I don't always check this thread.

Good news for our professional sellers. CSV item import/export is coming along the next days.

Excellent!

Yeah, I fixed it Smiley

New ticket category!
I see it added when I go to create a listing but there is no link to the category in the list on the homepage. Could you add that too please?  Smiley

Don't worry, our category cache needs some time to rebuild. It will appear shortly.

Update:
- "My orders" -> "My bids" is designed much nicer and way more informative than before.
- Payment notification bugfix. Users did not get payment/wallet notifications. Some users might have got some delayed notifications today.

Good news for our professional sellers. CSV item import/export is coming along the next days.

Also, thanks Tosaki for the quick fixes. I would also suggest an update to the categories. I feel like they are very limited. Almost everytime I list something, I feel like there isn't the right category for it. For example, I went to post some theme park tickets yesterday and had no idea where to put it. Today I went to post some Final Four basketball tickets and had the same problem. I wouldn't mind having a "tickets" category Smiley

I'm having trouble updating the product description.
Certain formatting and links causes the submission to return with "invalid item description"

Or is there a limit on the amount of text that can be there?

I really  need help getting this fixed.

thanks.

Played with it some more; seams like there is a limit on the amount of text for the description.
Is that clarified on the site somewhere?

I raised the limit from 4000 to 5000 chars.

New feature:
Automatic cancel of unpaid orders after a certain time frame (x minutes / hours / days)

Go to Settings -> Sell settings to check it out!

How do you anonymously ship people stuff?
I sell mostly virtual things, so in that case no name would be required.

I sell tangible items, shipping is required. The buyer's name is made available to me through Bitmit, but only on the individual order pages. I'd like the name to be visible in the listing of all orders as well, as I use that name to track the orders in my own system.
Ok, that makes sense then.

Feature request: In the Sell area, when listing sold items, show the real name of the buyer instead of their Bitmit handle.
Doesn't this eliminate anonymity? Doesn't bother me that much, just thought that was a key bitcoin element. And for example, why do you need a real name if shipping isn't required.
