Is the process to get something added to your directory automatic? That makes it difficult for you to observe for scammers I suppose? Or is it via application?

Ok so it is not so easy for scammers, but of course your options are limited when it comes to conducting due diligence. Maybe you should add some "reporting" option to your directory where complaints can be collected in one place or something like that. Just an idea.
They have a tab already on their site - "Report a Scam".
However, I don't know if people are using it or they just don't encounter any scam site on their platform.
As you suggested, can we see a directory where you can see the reported scam sites?
At least give us idea on possible shady sites found by your team/followers.
I can imagine that one problem is when it comes to evidence. Everybody could report everybody else, for example a competitor could make false accusations.
Could end up with a lot of work checking all scam accusations and investigating the evidence as not every single scam is plain obvious.
Still this is a great idea and with some effort could turn into a valuable resource and go to place for those interested.
