I just checked Bitrefill, and apparently, they're now offering cards for Italy, France, and Germany. Could someone explain what's the difference between all these cards when gift cards are supposed to be currency locked and not region-locked?

A gift card for France can only be used in France and in EUR currency.

If you're from France and change the currency to GBP the gift card won't work. If you're from UK and change the currency to EUR (for France) it won't work as well.

These cards are currency locked + region locked if I get it right. If you go to Asos' website and try to purchase a voucher you can read:

Quote
ASOS gift vouchers can only be applied to purchases in the same country and currency they were bought from

Look like a change from Asos and so Bitrefill and/or their partner adapted the situation. Because let's say the company is from UK, they could only sell gift cards to UK citizens with this. It would restrict a lof of sales/people

I have a question. I have never used gift cards for online purchases before and so i would like to know if it's possible for one to have a successful purchase and delivery of items from ASOS using ASOS UK gift cards even when one is not within UK or EU?
I often purchase some things from Asos but despite the fact that I have never used gift card, still as far as I know and have heard from others, you can get items delivered anywhere even with Asos UK gift card. The only issue here is that you can't use their PREMIER DELIVERY option (£9.95 A YEAR) and you'll may pay shipping in GBP or free delivery worldwide, depends on cost of total items. You can also use shipping forwarders if there is any problem with delivery which I believe, won't be.
But still to be 100% sure, you can Contact Asos via chat, email, tweet or facebook.

That's correct. You can use UK gift cards almost everywhere. As I said above, to check if your country is supported, just go to the site preferences (top right corner) and see if GBP is listed there.

As for the shipping, I would like to add a few things:

- The free shipping is not available everywhere. A lot of countries in the North african region don't have that. In fact, you can only use Express delivery.
- I've used Shipito for a long time, and I think it's safe to say that package forwarders are not worth it when it comes to buying from ASOS, it would just cost you more money.

Also, buying with GBP is cheaper compared to USD. Take this product for instance. It costs 100£ (which is equal to ~123$) but if you ever change the site to USD, you will end up paying 158$ instead. Same thing with the shipping.

Thanks for all the information. I really appreciate your fast answer.

I got one more question: If I e.g. buy a gift card for H&M, IKEA or one of the several grocery stores available, will I be only able to use the gift card online? Or can I just go to the next H&M or IKEA in my town, get my items and show the gift card at the cashier?

Thanks in advance!

Each card has different conditions that they'll state on the page for the individual card. Some will be online only, some will be in store only, most will be both.

This is H&M's entry for instance.

It's worth noting that Bitrefill charge a small premium unless you're paying with the lightning network. It's usually about 2-3%.

Giftoff should be cheaper if they have a card you want - https://giftoff.com/gift-cards?filters%5Bsort%5D=alpha&filters%5Bcategory%5D=any&filters%5Bcountry%5D=241&page=1

I have been using bitrefill for last 6+ months without any problems but today I just checked my account was logged out and when I tried to log in back, I got "Unable to log in with provided credentials" but I am sure I am correct with my credentials. Then I tried to reset my password by email. But, I did not receive any email for resetting password.

I just contacted their support : [email protected] and now awaiting their reply. Will update here once I get reply from them. I could not remember but I hold around 0.01 BTC in my bitrefill account.

Update (April 25, 2020, 06:19:42 PM):
Still I am unable to regain access to my bitrefill account. (They replied to my ticket like one of their dev to take care of this issue).

Update (April 28, 2020, 06:51:16 PM)
Finally I tried again to login using my email without dot in it and it worked!

Sorry for bumping this Bitrefill old thread, but I didn't find another one. Did the gift card work for Asos? I would like to order these too then.

Yes, they do work. As explained above, just make sure to change your currency to "GBP" in your account's preferences.

Another general question concerning Bitrefill. Are they legit? Do they buy their gift cards directly from the suppliers? Or do they buy them on a secondary market? Any recommendations? Did anyone order a lot there?

Thanks in advance for your help.

They're legit and the cards are bought directly from suppliers. I have been using them for almost 3 years now and I never had any (serious) problems with them.

You can also check this topic in case you don't manage to find your favorite gift cards in Bitrefill.

You can buy with different currencies with Asos. If you deposit a 100£ gift card you're credited in £. Then, when buying, if you change the currency to GBP you will be able to pay with a UK gift card. It's what I guess from their FAQ

https://asos-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5419
In this link, which comes from the .com FAQ they talk in GBP

https://www.asos.com/customer-service/customer-care/help/?help=/app/answers/detail/a_id/7079/country/gb
This link confirms we can pay in GBP

So I suppose ASOS sells gift cards in different currencies and Bitrefill resell only GBP

It's the french version and we can also use different currencies there

ASOS seem to ship to multiple countries, I've been checking Bitrefill and I found that they have "ASOS UK" gift cards even though, the website itself doesn't have .co.uk domain.

You can ship to anywhere from the .com version. What I want to know is whether the gift cards are redeemable regardless of your location If you buy them from Bitrefill or not?
