Well my original problem has gotten sorted (i got the $5 balance to show up in my account) but now i'm facing the problem of what to do with not just thus $5 on myprepaidcenter.com but also the $10 card i bought from the bitcoin company using sats. The bitcoin company uses this site yourrewardcard.com. I'm guessing this too must be the exact same corporations that do the former site. Both of these cards do not work on where i intended to use them (Spokeo.com).

So my question now is, where are these cards spendable? Which merchants accept these cards? Spokeo itself is a scam service that tells you the report is just $0.95 but also tries to set you up on a monthly payment plan of much larger payments. So, maybe these virtual cards won't be accepted by them, for they want to scam people with regular credit cards who will not regularly check their statements.

There's no way to tell for sure. You'd have to test that sadly. You can do that with small amounts and see for yourself, especially if the site you're using is not a well-known one.
And by the way, you're not the only one having issues with the Bitcoin company. I had a similar experience.

Anyone able to recommend a site that will sell a prepaid Visa card with no KYC that works in the uk? bitrefill Visa cards only work in US
There are some virtual cards that are available but note that they have some restrictions for certain services, and they don't always work on all websites.
For bit.store cards you need to check the list of prohibited websites and risk scenarios before purchasing anything.
If you try to use them there anyway you will get trigger warning and they could froze or permanently ban your account and seize your money.

The bitcoin company app should have that, I tried them some time ago. You don't need to do any ID verification but I had difficulties using the card on certain sites. I'd buy a very small denomination and try it out first if I were you.

Another service would be Bit.store (which I haven't tried) but I made a discussion about: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5475083.20

Actually The Bitcoin Company guys refunded my sats back to me. At least they have a customer support email and telegram system in place. Though, they showed a lot of attitude ("mate, you only have a $10 card, why are you wasting our time" etc. they're from Australia). But at least they refunded my money back to me. Didn't lose anything and gained 1000 sats for signing up on their stupid app.

But the MyPrepaidCenter thing is a disaster. There is no support email and you have to call their phone numbers. I have written about how I did not get (or maybe did not see the email) the code from them initially, and then somehow got a free international calling app (that provided just 2 minutes of 1 free call) and managed to call their Tolled support number, and get the card to show up in my account. But it was all for vain, the card would not work anywhere. I finally resorted to using it to top up some gift card balance on my amazon.com account (not my actual amazon.in account, it wouldn't work there). It's still wasted, since I can't really use this $5 balance to buy anything, the shipping on Amazon.com to India itself would be a lot lot more and they don't allow buying Kindle Books on Amazon.com that can be read by an account in India (*rolling my eyes*). Still better to waste it this way than have the cheaters at Pathward N.A. gobble up my $5 on an unused card.

MyPrepaidCenter and basically all Pathward N.A. cards only work on USA sites it seems.

Basically they're all cheating when they use words like Worldwide and International. These cards are not international. They only work on USA sites.

It's all a clusterf*ck, that's why the world needs bitcoin. These financial k*kes will create 100 hoops to jump through to even spend your own money. Bitcoin is the way.

Never buying any "card" issued by Pathward N.A.

Also, i wonder how a card purchased online can be a US card or a non-US card or an international card. Is it basically the pincode? If I want a card to be considered a US-card should I just enter a US pincode and some fake address? I mean these sites have no way of checking if i indeed live in the pincode i enter, so i can enter any pincode during registration, right?

I got shown a card that was blank as I have already posted in my original message, 3-4 messages ago.

Here is the "code" they showed in the fake card on the site. It's blank.

We will soon find out if Pathward N.A. is related to myprepaidcenter.com, i'm awaiting the email from them. I have also informed some German finance authorities about this site. Let's see how this develops.

No legit company says "go to that other company (which has no customer support email and only has tolled phone numbers) and cry there, we cannot do anything about it

I'm not affiliated with Coinsbee in any way but you should know that MyPrepaidCenter is owned by Blackhawk network (who have 3000+ employees) and from my understanding, they're not only used by Coinsbee, but even with much bigger companies like G2A.[1][2] but yes, it does look like a lot of people are facing lots of troubl with them.

Edit: I installed some app on my phone and managed to make a call to one of their support numbers. Long story short, some email came with a retrieval code, that might or might not have also come earlier when all this started, and i may or may not have clicked on it while under VPN, i'm confused, anyway long story short, after the call to their agent, the problem got sorted and i'm no longer angry and baying for blood. I actually feel kinda stupid, i might have overlooked the "retrieve code" email earlier. But in any case, the company still comes across as scammy simply because they have not shown a support email ID. I asked the agent on the phone also and she said no we don't have a support email ID. Whatever, i'm at least anger-free now, but won't ever buy a card from this site again. Actually, phew, i was looking at 7-10 of constant internet sleuthing around trying to contact all sorts of authorities, that would have taken a major toll on my happiness. After all this nonsense happened, i anyway discovered that the Bitcoin Company or something with that red/pink turtle logo has an option to get Visa Card paid for with bitcoin lightning sats. So i won't be using Coinsbee/Myprepaid center again anyway. I'll just keep my previous 3-4 angry messages up for record sake anyway, even though they don't really apply. It might have been my mistake (overlooking the "retrieve" email that came earlier today, or maybe i did open it in a browser that had the VPN add on running, because i'm very sure that the code did not display even after a long time of keeping the page open, even just now when it did show it lagged for at least 10 seconds before loading on the screen. Whatever be the case if VPN makes the code not work, then such a warning message should be shown before clicking the link, and a support email just has to be there. What a stupid waste of so many hours. A comedy of errors. Bah. I'll show myself out.

I also don't see that 866 number you gave on their site: https://myprepaidcenter.com/contactus

-Dave

What kind of a site only has tolled (paid) numbers for customer support and no email?
Obviously a scam site that knows that most people will not bother to spend money to make an international call when only 5-10 dollars have been stolen from them.

You have 1000s of posts here and you're VOUCHING for an obvious scam site? I just don't understand it.

VPN session or no VPN session, why would they display a blank card with no numbers? The attitude of the support email person at [email protected] has proven beyond doubt that it is a scam operation. This VPN excuse is the same one he kept repeating. I've never heard of a site working this way under VPN. I'll wait for someone else to respond before saying anything else.

Edit: I added a review on TrustPilot and now Coinsbee.com is trying to give an excuse that i purchased from some other site not Coinsbee. I have also emailed the actual company known as Pathward N.A. and we will soon know if myprepaidcenter.com is related to them or not. Obviously it is not and it is a scam.

coinsbee is also on the forum https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/coinsbeecom-2667213

They (myprepaidcenter.com) have plenty of toll free numbers in the US. They are a public US / North American company and for the most part only deal with people in the US / North America. Most, perhaps all, of my US issued credit cards don't have toll free numbers out of the US so that is not unusual.

As for the VPN, since they are a financial services company they have to abide by KYC / AML rules. $1 or $5 or $1000 or $5000 or $100,000 it's all the same in the eyes of KYC / AML rules.

This is what I see when I 1st log in. [I blanked some info]

Once I click on view details I see the full info [I blanked some info]

What do you get when you click view details?

Pathward has nothing to do with coinsbee all coinsbee is doing is reselling their cards as do hundreds of other services.

With all the above being said, they are very very twitchy when it comes to security.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SwagBucks/comments/150olvk/stay_away_from_getting_myprepaidcenter_mastercard/

You see it as a $5 gift card I see it as a $5 card they (my prepaid / blackhawk / Pathward) *have* to see it as the potential to get 1000 x $1000 gift cards and move a $1,000,000 in less time then it took me to type this.

Nope, it's something on your side.
Bitrefill and many other places use myprepaidcenter.com for their mastercard prepaid cards.
Try a different browser. Also, they are US (possibly North America) only for some services. And they do block VPNs

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.61853963

Log out, log back in, try using a private browser window.

Heck, even a MC I got from a class action lawsuit was run through the myprepaidcenter.com site.

Coinsbee is a scam. Just lost 7 USDT there trying to buy a Global Mastercard $5 value.

This is how they work.

Purchased on:
https://www.coinsbee.com

Post purchase got redirected to:
https://myprepaidcenter.com

Created an account there, they ask for personal details.

Upon trying to redeem the "code" they sent on mail, this got displayed:
We apologize. We have identified an error on our side. Please contact customer service at 866-815-3034.

Then the account created on myprepaidcenter.com became unable to login. This site only displays phone numbers with toll charges for support, so 90% of the people will not even bother calling in as it would cost more to make the call than the value of the stolen funds most of the time.

Upon sending an email to the coinsbee.com support email [email protected] you get weird answers which basically point to "go to myprepaidcenter.com and cry there"

TOTAL SCAM. Which makes me wonder how many shills there are in this thread who all merited and vouched for this Coinsbee.com scam.

Here is the "code" they showed in the fake card on the site. It's blank.

Maybe they changed something recently.
I am 100% sure they had Google Play gift cards that worked in different countries (Germany for example), but I am checking now and they currently have only US based cards.
Not sure if this was the case with other cards they are offering, or only for Google Play cards.

I guess you misunderstood me. I'm referring to the VCCs (virtual credit cards) and not to the gift cards like Google play and Netflix etc. I know that those are available in different regions, and I believe that's the case for pretty much every provider on the list.

Coinsbee does have worldwide cards but unlike Bitrefill, you'd have to verify your identity (as mentioned at the bottom of the page): https://www.coinsbee.com/en/My%2BPrepaid%2BCenter%2BMastercard-bitcoin

Neither card bitrefill sells is *supposed* to work out of the US.
With that being said there has been some discussion on reddit that they do work in limited instances in other countries, but I have not been able to get them to work.
A few months ago when I got some and gave them to other forum members to test they did not work for them.
It is possible to use them in some cases if you change IP address to US using VPN, but there is no guarantees this will work.

Thank you

I was thinking about the Master Card  Roll Eyes

It is the VISA that you have used outside the United States ?

It's from a company called perfectgift.com
The card number itself is issued through Sutton Bank.

It's also good since if there are more options that are out there, services like Bitrefill & Coinsbee & others will be forced to keep their prices reasonable and perhaps come up with better options for cards.
