I agree but Bitrefill is reputed for using a fair rate for the purchases of its gift cards. It doesn't mean they're doing the same with their credit card but each time I've checked for gift cards purchases, it was the current price of BTC on the exchanges that had been used for the conversion. It's not the same for all gift card providers, for example when I've checked in the past, Cryptorefills was using lower rates.

100%, I've been using their gift cards for years now and their pricing was always fair imho.

Nevertheless this 1.99% deposit fee for every (!) deposit to your card wallet is just ridicolous. I mean you get burned every time you top it up, while other competitors don't charge this fee at all.

I really hope they update this in the future, because I doubt many users will try their card, if they learn about the fee.

I have never used Bitrefill card, but CryptoCom card has an invisible fee that can be higher than 1,99% when reloading the card (ie converting crypto to fiat).. I think 'markup' is the correct term.

Here's an example (~5% fee): https://www.reddit.com/r/Crypto_com/comments/vmqa8e/spread_for_topping_up_card_is_scandalous_l/
Isn't that the same thing many websites do when they accept crypto? Say you're buying something for $100, they send you to their payment provider, and when you do the math you're paying $110 because everyone involved wants their cut.

Yep, I have used Crypto.com's card in the past and if you don't pay attention you get rekt on fees (or the hidden spread the platform owners don't talk about!). However, there is a workaround, to reduce the fees by a lot:

1. Deposit BTC or any other crypto to your Crypto.com App
2. Transfer the funds from the Crypto.com App to the Crypto.com Exchange App
3. Use the orderbook, place a maker order and get filled for almost no fees
4. Transfer the FIAT from the Exchange App to your Crypto.com card for no fees

I quickly compared the card to other existing ones (Crypto.com CC etc.) and Bitrefills card looks worse because of the 1.99% deposit fee. Anything else I am missing?

(If there is a dedicated discussion on Bitrefills cc in a different thread, please let me know).

Did anyone here use the Bitrefill credit card yet?

I have been using Bitrefills gift cards quite frequently in the past, but haven't touched the credit card so far.

It wasn't a mobile topup, but last time I had an issue like that(not receiving the gift card after having paid), they replied me within one hour after sending them a message while it was late in the evening(Europe time), and I got refunded within 12 hours that is to say the next morning.

Thanks! Got my refund yesterday, finally. I guess it's different with mobile topups because they have to check with whatever service they're using for these refills. especially since on their site, I haven't received any error messages and it said it's completed.

These wont be a problem for me. But I would only use gift cards if I had some kind of discount...
As there isn't any, I will probably just use credit card anyway.

I thought there were some kind of discount (like 1-2%) using lightning network in bitpay or some other website.
It seems to not have been named till now but crypto.com are still offering cashback on the gift cards they propose. There are not many gift cards available to be honest, well at least in my country but it's different for every country. They are offering 1.25% to 2.5% cashback if you pay with CRO cryptocurrency actually but you can easily exchange your BTC or other cryptos on the same app.

Has anyone faced any issues with Bitrefill recently? (mobile topup). If so, do you happen to know how long would it take them to check with the provider if the transaction has indeed failed, to refund you or send you another refill?

Is there any advantage to buying the card from this site as opposed to the other ones? I can see that you must pay 525$ for a 500$ card. I'm not sure why would anyone go with this, instead of other alternatives?
I didn't compare the fees and look for advantages for any of this services, you need to do your own research.
One thing I can say is that you can talk with guys from Stealths in bitcointalk forum, not sure if that is advantage or not.

PS
I remember another service that is offering service of selling and buying gift cards, there is Amazon gift card available also:

You can buy Amazon gift cards with bitcoin on several websites, but I am not sure if you can always find a discount for that.
Bitrefill.com and thebitcoincompany.com are good places to check if those gift cards are currently available, but fees could be different.
Another website that I am sure have US Amazon gift cards is Stealths.com with minimum $1 and maximum of $500 value:
https://stealths.net/giftcard/amazon-com-us

There is another service provider Trocador but I can't find if it is US version:

PS
Stealths has active account registered in bitcointalk forum, but note that I am not vouching for any of this services as I never purchased Amazon US cards:

I believe you're talking about "The bitcoin company"? I did try to use their virtual credit card a while back (not the most pleasant experience), not sure about their gift cards, but they seem to offer a cashback on buying them: https://app.thebitcoincompany.com/giftcard

1.3% for Amazon apparently. But you should probably compare their prices with Coinsbee, Bitrefill, etc. With such a low percentage, it can be a bit tricky.

Not really much of a discount, also keep in mind you need a US credit card and US shipping address on your Amazon account to use US gift cards.

Well my original problem has gotten sorted (i got the $5 balance to show up in my account) but now i'm facing the problem of what to do with not just thus $5 on myprepaidcenter.com but also the $10 card i bought from the bitcoin company using sats. The bitcoin company uses this site yourrewardcard.com. I'm guessing this too must be the exact same corporations that do the former site. Both of these cards do not work on where i intended to use them (Spokeo.com).

So my question now is, where are these cards spendable? Which merchants accept these cards? Spokeo itself is a scam service that tells you the report is just $0.95 but also tries to set you up on a monthly payment plan of much larger payments. So, maybe these virtual cards won't be accepted by them, for they want to scam people with regular credit cards who will not regularly check their statements.

There's no way to tell for sure. You'd have to test that sadly. You can do that with small amounts and see for yourself, especially if the site you're using is not a well-known one.
And by the way, you're not the only one having issues with the Bitcoin company. I had a similar experience.

@OmegaStarScream thx for you answers you are completly right.

Anyone able to recommend a site that will sell a prepaid Visa card with no KYC that works in the uk? bitrefill Visa cards only work in US
There are some virtual cards that are available but note that they have some restrictions for certain services, and they don't always work on all websites.
For bit.store cards you need to check the list of prohibited websites and risk scenarios before purchasing anything.
If you try to use them there anyway you will get trigger warning and they could froze or permanently ban your account and seize your money.

The bitcoin company app should have that, I tried them some time ago. You don't need to do any ID verification but I had difficulties using the card on certain sites. I'd buy a very small denomination and try it out first if I were you.

Another service would be Bit.store (which I haven't tried) but I made a discussion about: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5475083.20
