I've had 56 PTS for a long while - since they were initially released! - and missed the PTS -> X event completely.

How much money did I lose, is it too late to get any Xs, and how dumb am I?

You simply need to import your PTS wallet into the BTS X wallet as long as you held PTS before the Feb 28 snapshot date.

They were on Cryptsy, where I bought them. :\

You need to be emailing cryptsy and telling them you'd like your bitsharesx.

Bter, Btc38, and poloniex are all honoring the snapshot. it would be unethical for cryptsy not to in my opinion, but they haven't uttered a peep.

Don't go full retard on us.  There were whales in both those things and a 50% / 50% distribution doesn't change that.

http://www1.agsexplorer.com/masterbook/btc
http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/116UNRtuDe2aj2B4b4HGvZLJPo275nvny

Public information on that block explorer which proves what I wrote.  Some guys have 1K+ - 10K+ Angel Shares while the average donation was between 0 - 50 angel shares.

There were large whales in PTS too.

Do you have to be spoonfed into believing that there are whales?  Every coin is assumed to have whales until proven innocent.

Sorry, but I can't count 22 BTC from about 3000+ BTC as large whales (http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/116UNRtuDe2aj2B4b4HGvZLJPo275nvny)
And BTW http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/116UNRtuDe2aj2B4b4HGvZLJPo275nvny doesn't get single BTSX because all donation was made after 28 of Feb

I must say im very impressed with what ive seen of btsx so far, looks groundbreaking. My only gripe is the distribution model

...
It's already being planned to an extent.  It was just a few people who invested 3000+ BTC into ZiTshares.  No one invests that sort of amount unless they intend on running as soon as they realize any profit.  It's incredibly risky to leave any huge amount of capital into a coin as you can't predict the capitalization.

You sure that you telling us truth?

BitSharesX distribute 50% to AGS shareholders, 50% to PTS shareholders.
Here you can see addresses of users who buy AGS: http://www1.agsexplorer.com
Here you can see addresses which has PTS: https://coinplorer.com/PTS
BitSharesX snapshot was at block 57787 (2/28/2014 11:32:22 PM (UTC)): https://coinplorer.com/PTS/Blocks/0000001810185022d2b496e2ae59368b1e6fbc40dc82a77e79b90630dfcf89f6

You can do your investigation and prof that your trying to tell us.

Don't go full retard on us.  They have explorers proving there were whales.

You are the only one that is going full retard with your spewing of hatred for Bitshares.

There are FIAT whales, Bitcoin whales, Litecoin whales, whales, gold whales, silver whales, and stock/bond whales. You can't just make rich people disappear... they exist in any form of currency or commodity. You need to learn to deal with this because there will always be someone that is richer than someone else.

I am really sad that I missed out on this one! Normally I am on BTT every day looking for promising new coins but since it is summer I haven't been around as much and it feels that every time I log in now I've missed the boat on something  Sad

Do you guys think it is still a good time to get in on this one? I know I've missed the first wave, maybe there will be an aftershock or two?  Smiley

The price movement now is speculation based on the success of marketing pegging/bitassets within bitshares. Still some time before it's functional and lots can go wrong regarding implementation (in the short term). We already did over 100% in 24 hours and what 200% in under a week? I expect the waters to calm in the next few days and with that people getting impatient and cashing out some profits. Also be aware that at the sight of the shortest downturn people will panic sell fearing a major correction, causing the major correction. Every meteoric rise is usual met with a subsequent halving.

Bitshares still has lots to prove and the whales are running out of capital. At the slightest blunder watch the market crash and the fudster trolls parade through the forums. Sentiment can change at the drop of a hat.

Wise words indeed.  Anyone who is worried they have missed the boat can rest easy.  There are bound to be more chances to get on board at a lower price before all the testing and tweaking is done.  Panic buying is rarely the way to go about investing.  That said, BTSX does look like it has a great deal of potential, so don't miss all the boats.   Grin

I'm going to catch up on the various threads and do some more research over the weekend.

Wise decision! I've found the BitShares wiki to be a great, detailed resource to learn more. You can also head to Youtube to see Dan Larimer et al. speaking about the project. There's lots of material around.

People dont seem to realize, that these coins cant have 100m market caps if you cant use them anywhere! It can't be just gambling sites either, you need to be able to spend it somewhere besides an exchange. Only Bitcoin has delivered on that, and Bitcoin is already to complicated / people are hesitant to accept BTC after years of it being around.

In reality, alt's are only created to increase their dev's pockets. Especially anything with an IPO, like this coin. How much money did their dev team make again?

Its about to get PnD'ed really badly. In all honesty, NXT is 10x better, most of the functions are the same / similar, NXT has an actual user base to. I dont personally own any NXT, I only own BTC, a handful of LTCs, and a bunch of FLTs, because I don't think NXT will last either. Neither will LTC.

I remember when Doge hits the 3th biggest market cap. Such wow and moon all over the place. Now they are almost 10x lower than at that time.

Plus 60%+ increase in market cap in 24 hours can't be something natural. I see pump stuff around.

You are currently out of luck then.  Although poloniex just honored the 2-28 snapshot.  I would start talking to cryptsy.  if my rough estimate is correct you would be looking at around 30k BTSX

your rough estimate is correct Wink

I hate ipo coins and premines like every other person with half a brain.

Too bad for you. I guarantee you there will be some diamonds in the rough. Wink

They are obviously high risk investments, but sometimes with high risk comes high rewards. Grin

I suggest everyone put a large portion of their portfolio in Bitcoin and speculate with the rest on ALT coins.
